I had bought this foundation on sale in the shade beige,it comes in a frosted jar with screw on lid,it looks high quality, the product is a thick cream, and I applied it with a damp beauty blender,it felt really smooth on my skin and did not go into my fine lines, the coverage was medium to full,I applied 2 layers and let it sit on my face 5 minutes before I applied powder to set.it lasted at least 5 hours before I noticed it had come off around my nose and chin area,I would use it again and I would recomend it to others,

Elizabeth Ardens make up is classic and chic. It's a brand that has withstood the test of time but still maintained this classic chic Style. Their products go from perfumes through to make up.
This is my first Elizabeth Arden make up product. After having my spot of coffee I like to look at any bargains that I can find. Postie Plus is one of my usual spots for finding bargains. There I hesitated to buy this. But I brought it.
This product comes in a shiny black and gold box with Elizabeth arden branding on it. I open it to find this round frosted glass jar. It has a classic gold ingraved Elizabeth Arden strip around this glass jar. Underneath it is the colour labelling.
I chose Warm Bronze. It comes with SPF15 as well. When I opened the jar theres another lid on it to protect the liquid foundation coming out. They had no testers in store so it was a bit of a gamble. The testire of it is like a normal foundation consistency. It has a very mild scent.
On application it glided over my face. Normally I have patches where I need to add extra but didn't need to do this with this product. I tested to see how well it lasted for a full day. I stayed on my skin perfectly. Around my eyes I have fine lines it coved these as well and didn't clump in between them. It has a slight powder finish to it once settled into my skin.
My results of using this product was full coverage over my brown skin spots and blemishes. Long lasting coverage. Priced affordably . I reccomend shopping around if you want to find a bargain. Would love to try more products from Elizabeth Ardens make up range.
I picked this up from postie when I was out to deliberately purchase a new foundation. Being aware of the brands good reputation and being that I'd never tried makeup by Elizabeth Arden, why not give this one a go I thought. The packaging I found appealing also, a thick frosted glass jar with a pearly gold dome lid, very fancey and expensive looking although I paid only $20 for it.
This foundation turned out to be a perfect match for my skin tone in Honey, I instantly liked it for that as the last couple foundations i've had have been a bit off. It's SPF 15 which is a bonus if you forget to put sunscreen on your face when wearing makeup like I sometimes do. The texture is creamy and slightly on the thinner side, coverage is also a little on the lighter side if your are wanting to hide acne or scarring. I usually do 2 layers to hide the spots a bit better and it doesn't cake up when I cake it on! The finish is dewy fresh looking for a youthful glow. As for the 'plumping' i'm not too sure, no wrinkles YET but I have one single vertical frown line between my eyes which it doesn't seem to make any less noticeable. But for $20 I think it's a good price for a good foundation.
With this foundation I cant comment on the colour match to me as I got the bronze for my contouring, This worked so well, creamy rich consistency, smoothed over easily, blendable and build able, no shimmer which I loved. The case looks pretty neat, with a pearl like lid. I paid $3 from postie plus so such a bargain, regular price at postie is $20, its really worth full price if your getting for the colour match.
I have used several of the Elizabeth Arden products and I found the foundation makeup had good coverage it was easy to apply, smooth and even finish. If you like a thick foundation then you will like this. It is not heavy just a thick coverage whereas I like for myself it to be light. Lovely product though & does keep face moisturizer throughout the day.
Tips: Suitable for persons who like a thick coverage.
I have used this product many times , I love it in the winter when my skin is dry and dull as this foundation seems to give my skin a bit of a lift and keeps it very hydrated. It has great coverage but is also slightly on the heavier side, I find this perfect for a normal to dry skin client , but not ideal for oily skin. I apply mine with a beauty blender and also with my fingers , and it finds it go's on very well. Great thing about this product is it is easy to find as there a lots of Elizabeth Arden counters around. I know this product is more specified for anti ageing , but when better to start , I am in my early 20s and I have really enjoyed this product. It gives a great dewy finish and on days when I don't want to look so dewy I put a mattyfying powder over the top and it looks great.
Tips: Apply primer before applying the foundation and for a less dewy finish apply a mattyfying powder over top x This product would be too heavy and to moisturising for oily skins .
I've got to start by acknowledging that I am not the target market for this foundation, but as I have used it I thought I would share my two cents.
This is a heavy creamy foundation that gives good coverage and a semi-matte finish. It comes in a good range of colours and the good thing about Elizabeth Arden is it's very easy to find counters where staff will be able to match you to the right shade.
This is designed as a skincare foundation with antiaging properties, and while I couldn't report on the effectiveness of the latter, it definitely feels good on the skin. It is very moisturising and I think those with mature skin that tends to be somewhat dry would benefit most from this foundation.
Coming from Canada, I am not used to paying over $50 for high end foundation. But when I ran out of my Marc Jacobs Gel Foundation and was well away from my Christmas Trip back home to restock, I needed to find something new and was excited to try a new product.
I heard about a deal from Elizabeth Arden to get a free Primer when you purchased Foundation and one other item, so I thought I would check out the options. I am so thankful I did!
I decided to purchase the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lift and Firm Foundation in Vanilla Shell and I have to say it has amazing coverage. Using a brush or sponge, I find I am using much less than my previous brands and get a flawless finish with all day wear every time. I cannot be happier with my purchase even if I did have to spend more than my usual amount.
In addition to how wonderful this product is for coverage and length of wear, it has another huge selling feature for me and that is the packaging. As I was deciding on which foundation to go with, the lady at the counter pointed out that as this foundation comes in a pot rather than a pump you get to use every last bit of it in the end. SOLD! I hate, I mean hate spending money on foundation or any other cosmetic just to lose a portion of it due to the fact it is in a part of the bottle I can't get to.
Without a doubt this jar will last me much longer than a bottle of my MAC or Marc Jacobs, so in the end I am thrilled.
I also purchased the Elizabeth Arden Primer and Concealer which I will review as well!
Tips: Be careful how much you use as it is full coverage. You can always go back for more!
I use very little on my brush and just work it in as a bit goes a long way.
