Carmex Lip Balm
Carmex lip balm contains a unique blend of ingredients, including natural moisturisers such as cocoa butter and lanolin. These and other emollients give you healthy-looking lips by moistening and preventing dryness and chapping associated with the effects of the environment.
Carmex helps to soothe, moisturise and relieve dry, chapped lips caused by the elements. Apply Carmex liberally and evenly as often as necessary throughout the day.
Carmex contains camphor and menthol. These ingredients give Carmex a cooling effect and soothe rough, chapped lips caused by environmental factors – encouraging a healthy appearance that feels as good as it looks.
Available in a jar, tube or stick.

I love love love this lip balm. It took a few uses to get to the tingly feeling when i put it on but i grew to really enjoy the tingle and my lips were ridiculously smooth
Awful. This was just like blistex (same thing, different name? ) which I reacted to. It stung and burnt my lips, and it didn't moisturise them at all. I also really dislike products which contain lanolin as it's extremely comedogenic due to it being such a rich lipid. Lanolin is derived from sheep's wool, and as a general rule for skin care, I recommend avoiding any lipids derived from animals or minerals. These kinds of oils aren't readily absorbed by your skin, so they just sit on the surface, not hydrating your skin, and block the pores. These sort of products are what give you blackheads around your lips.
Tips: Always read labels when purchasing. I got this as a freebie, but if I had known I'd not have bothered. If your lips are dry, get something that can actually hydrate.
My absolute favourite lip balm! It wins hands down and I keep multiple pots around the place to satisfy my addiction. No worries here about dry or flaky lips, the formula in the pot does everything I need and more.
The scent is not overpowering and the consistency is solid but easy to apply.
I would recommend in a heartbeat.
Tips: Any balm left over on my finger I just rub into my cuticles!
This balm is nice, it goes on well and has a nice almost honey taste to it. My lips aren't that bad this time of the year but the balm kept them moist and over the course of the last 2 weeks I have not suffered from dry lips at all.
Tips: Don't leave it in a warm car, my mistake as when I went to put on the heat had made the balm a bit more liquid, leaving me with heaps at a time.
Glad to read the reviews below which say they also had the tingling feeling - thought it was just me when I gave some to a friend who said they didn't feel anything! Despite the tingling, which isn't a bad feeling, I like the Carmex Lip Balm which is mositurising and the methanol smell is refreshing. However, I can't use this when at night because the tingling feeling keeps me awake - only bad thing about this product (Plus the packaging is a bit outrageous for me).
I got this free from a website like many of other girls on BR, At first it gave a very weird tingly feeling which i didn't like, it kinda burned my lips to be honest but after i tried it around 5 more times it didn't seem to hurt my lips so much. It has really helped my cracked/peeling lips now i use it daily!!
Tips: try it a few times before you decide its not your thing :)
I had heard a lot about this product, but frankly I was disappointed by it. Menthol and Camphor are both known drying ingredients, which does the exact opposite of a lip balm. It seems like Carmex are trying to ensure a constant market for their product by drying out people's lips as they try to use it. I liked the balm's texture, and didn't mind the smell some people have described, but the inclusion of menthol has totally ruined it.
If you are not a fan of tingly mentholated type products or medicinal smelling products than this is definitely not for you. However it is a great balm for repairing damaged skin - have been spending alot of time outside in the sun lately and my lips were peeling, dry and flaking so badly despite scrubbing and wearing lipbalm with spf all day - one night of wearing this and they were fixed.
Tips: Doesn't contain a sunscreen so be aware of that however its great for repairing sun-ravaged lips.
I used this on my sunburnt chapped lips and it healed them but the taste and smell wasn't great. I would use this again but only in dire circumstances
