A friend got this for me last year in the shade 'ruby', which is a bright red shade. Prior to that I had never tried a NYX black label lipstick.
The consistency is really creamy and super easy to apply - there is no tugging on your lips.
In terms of the application, it is just a standard lipstick - which in my opinion, makes it easy and tidy to apply.
I found that one coat is really pigmented and you can easily get away with just one swipe. However I like to then put a little translucent powder over the lipstick and coat it again so that it wears longer.
For the quality I think the price is incredible, however I recommend buying these online as they are far cheaper than in NZ!
The packaging is really aesthetically pleasing to me, I love the patterns on the lid and I really like that it has a little preview of the colour at the bottom - this makes it sooooo easy to spot which colour you want when digging through your collection.
The one thing that I was slightly disappointed in was that it isn't amazingly long lasting - but you aren't paying a whole lot for it. I find myself having to re apply it every 2 or so hours, which isn't that much of an issue for me personally as I think it is well worth the price. Also you can layer it up and it doesn't look cakey. The finish is a really gorgeous satin finish with a hint of gloss but it isn't overly glossy. Also I didn't find them drying on my lips whatsoever and the colour didn't slide around my mouth.
I would absolutely recommend trying these out. They are a really cheap way to try new colours and the packaging makes them look far more pricey than they actually are... :P
I four of these Black Label lipsticks and think they are just fab! The shades I have are Dusty rose, Italian chic, Cherry and Midnight dinner.
Dusty Rose - is a beautiful your lips but better pinky nude creme shade perfect for pairing with a dramatic eye look and also great for everyday wear.
Italian Chic - is a neutral toned fuchsia-rose which gives a cool pink satin sheen on the lips. An absolutely gorgeous colour when you want a bright (but not in your face, neon bright) lip.
Cherry - is a true cherry red with a satin finish, it looks more cool toned in the tube but is a lot more warm toned on the lips. This is the least pigmented of the shades I have but still pretty good.
Midnight dinner - is a medium-deep berry-red shade with a creme finish. A shade which would definitely suit a range of people with neutral-cool toned skin. This would be an ideal shade to try if you are new to darker lip colours as it is just so flattering.
All of these lippies go on so smoothly and feel creamy and hydrating on the lips. They all have fantastic pigmentation and a delicious grape smell (so good) which you can smell when applying but not when wearing. I can't even pick a favourite shade from these I love them all and had such a hard time trying to choose which four to purchase from the range available (there are so many beautiful shades).
The packaging is super cute and very sleek also, they definitely don't look cheap (but they are very affordable). I love that the base is clear so you can easily see the true shade without having to open every lippy to find the one your looking for. The only issue I have with the packaging is that it makes them slightly to large to fit into my lippy holder, but meh that's not a biggy.
The wear time on these isn't the longest but by no means the worst either. I have found they last a good 2 hours (sometimes more) which I think is pretty reasonable considering there price.
Definitely highly recommend and will surely be a product I repurchase over and over! Go get a few of these girlies! You will not be disappointed. They are cheapest I think on cherry culture, instead of from a NZ retailer.
Tips: To make your lippy last longer; place a tissue over your lips after the first layer is applied and dust a small amount of translucent powder over-top. Remove the tissue and add another layer of colour.
