NIVEA Soft Mix Me Kit Reviews

I was thrilled to see this mix kit at my local supermarket and just had to purchase it as Nivea is a brand I have always trusted. I was disappointed to say the least. Yes the little pots were cute and colourful, all had their various scents which were okay but they were basically all of the same moisturiser, just will a different smell. Unfortunately the moisturiser felt very basic and slightly greasy even though I only put on a very tiny sample on one arm. Might be a cute gift idea for a young teenager.

honestly, the only reason the review is so high is because i like the yellow one. the rest are meh and butt and i would definitely not buy it again.

the lotions themselves are moisturizing. the white one i kept for my hands but i dont like it, because as i'm rubbing it in, it dries so fast and reminds me of rubbing cornflour on my hands (if you touch cornflour you'll understand). it also doesn't matter how much i apply to my hands, my palms are left greasy and my fingers feel as dry as the sahara desert. i'll point out that all 4 do this to my hands.

as for the scent, i'm convinced they're all the white nivea soft with a smattering of other scent on top. the white one itself reminds me of musky, sunblock and my nana.

the pink one smells like musky baby powder and roses, rather than anything to do with red berry fruit. my partner said it smells like toilet.

the green one was... not foul but also not nice to smell. i used it in the shower as a poor mans in-shower moisturizer, and i definitely got the minty flowery scent then, but otherwise it just smelled like a cleaning product.

the yellow one, and by far the best one, is straight pineapple. i smell nothing else. no sunblock, or baby powder and certainly no nana! it's bloody lovely.

as a body moisturizer it's good, but for hands i really hate it. and i would only repurchase the yellow one.

I saw these in the vault and thought I would try them out. You get 4 cute 50ml pottles, it says to mix them up to create your own scent which sounded cool. I did try mixing these and did not like the outcome so I just stick to using them individually.

There are 4 different scents, the original nivea, berry, tropical fruits and oasis. I've been using all of them and find the scents quite nice except for one. My favourite would be the berry and tropical fruit. The yellow tub smells like pineapple, the pink reminds me of lemonade popsicles, the green is my least favourite and smells like spray and wipe and the white is the nice original nivea scent.

It says you can use on your face but I wouldn't do that with these because of the scent, but that is just my preference.  I prefer to only use on my arms and legs. It's a nice moisturiser and makes my skin feel soft and hydrated with an amazing smell.

These are a perfect size to chuck in your handbag or car. I also feel like it would make a great gift especially for teenage girls. Overall I am enjoying using these but am not sure if I would buy them again for myself.

What a great concept! I've never seen something like this until now. I actually really liked all the different fragrances. Some I think I might get tired of. When my 9 year old daughter saw these her eyes lit up. It was totally down her alley... mixing up different moisturisers and making delicious concoctions. I probably am too lazy to mix them but she definitely has been and so I have passed them on to her. The creams themselves actually feel really nice on and it's a super handy size to keep in a wee bag so I may still pinch one back and keep it in my handbag. Would make great little stocking fillers! I think we both really liked the berry one and I think some other ones may be too overpowering to mix with others. I'd rather not try to be honest!

I brought some of these for Xmas gifts as perfectly priced for a wee gift.. one was for my daughter who when wrapping everyone’s presents happened to open hers so we have already been using it.

It’s a nice concept to use one over the other as you please, as you are sure to find something right for you especially handy when gifting for example. But you also run the risk of the alternative.. being left with something you don’t like.. personally we are fans of the concept mainly because they are well priced and I can split them between nappy bags, handbags, bathroom etc.

My daughter and I like this mainly because of the scent. In terms of effectiveness it’s ok.

The scents are fresh and relatively long lasting. Berry being our favourite. I would say there are definitely other products out there very similar which I prefer.. body shop creams for example but for the price it’s an ok purchase. Some scents are better than others, berry being our favourite and a one that reminds me of toilet cleaner so not so loved by me but my daughter loves it.

The cream itself is ok - somewhat effective but not super long lasting. If you have used other Nivea body lotions it’s on par. Quickly absorbed and non greasy are a bonus but if you want this for lips, hands, very dry skin I would recommend an alternative. I personally wouldn’t use this on my face just because of the perfume scent and my sensitive skin.. just a precaution but if you are desperate I would say go for it, perfect for your limbs etc.

It’s a thicker cream consistency than some of their body lotions so should give you a good idea of viscosity.

Great for a quick hit of moisture and gifting.

It was nice to have the scents and mix them together, but for me that’s not really my style I would rather just a plain moisturiser. They smelt nice and moisturised well but it just wasn’t a product I would normally use. I got this in a beauty review box

Cute concept and the scents are lovely. I mostly use moisturizers on my hands and face as these are my problem areas. For me personally, this is not a good enough cream for my hands. I get really dry skin around my knuckles and use hand cream at least twice daily. Ideally every time I wash my hands which is a lot at the moment as I'm changing baby nappies all day! I think this is a gorgeous idea and it is a nice wee product but not for someone who is really serious about skincare. I'd totally buy this for secret santa or a gift for a neighbour, brothers girlfriend at christmas, something like that.

This collection of little charmers came in the new discoveries BBBE. I had used the soft one many times in the past, since I was young, and always loved it.

The pack contains four 50ml pots, each with its own scent - the soft one having little scent, but the others being Charm, with a raspberryish scent, Oasis, with a fresh and brisk lemony-lime scent, and Exotic with a quite tropical scent.

The product of each is a thick white cream, which is very soft and absorbs quickly, leaving soft skin behind. I use them mainly on my hands and face and find them lovely. They are easily transportable and with four in the pack, you can have one in the car, on your desk, in the bathroom - pretty much anywhere.

With Christmas zooming ever closer, a pack of these can be shared to four stocking fillers or secret Santa gifts. A great little gift for anyone.

I recommend these, either to use yourself and/or to share with others. For $10.99 for four pots of a lovely product, you can't go wrong.
