I got this of Love my makeup it was cheap at $4 but they gave it for free with my second order. I thought it might be a nude shade. It's a taupe brown with a slight pinkish undertone & I do still like it. The bottle is a stumpy little thing thst is quite wide, wider then any other bottle of varnish. The handle lid is also chubby peculiar personally I like it bc I'm a klutz with polishes, it has a slight tilt to ut also & on top is the crown symbol engraved into it. The brush is a good size manageable & nice to use. I get a full coverage of varnish with one swipe so it's best to have minimal varnish on the brush to prevent over brushing if you know what I mean. I like quite a thick coating so I go over twice with varnish. If though you go any more then this the varnish will take ages I mean ages to dry & you will end up with ugly disturbed varnish. It takes at least an hour to dry satisfactory when doing more then 2 layers I kid you not. Once it dries it's a very nice finish however the stay power is quite a disappointment after a few days chips occur & top up is required this is why I do double layers because when doing cover ups it can appear seamless. I think out of all my polishes (which isn't alot) this is the easiest to put on & my favorite for a non bold effect to my nails. For the price or the amount usually charged it's ok that there are some flaws with this product. If you were after a longer lasting polish then isn't the one. I do feel like this is a good range to start out with for the begginers among us :). The pros are vibrant colour, quality brush & handle for application & the price. The cons being not long lasting & dry time is quite long.
i have this in an electric blue called Seduce it's both intense and stands out. I love Rimmel products but this one failed to excite me like it should and I wanted it to. It comes in a cylinder shaped bottle with a big chunky lid on it which for me is hard to control and hold which means I get nail polish on my fingers not just my nails. The brush itself is definitely of salon quality. It gets in to the nail crevices and distributes the polish evenly and smoothly over the whole nail. This gives it a perfect finish without having to go over and over the nails more than twice.
The formula is on the thicker side for nail polizh which to me means that it will be true to its colour depicted and not just a watered down version of it. I only have to do two coats and it's looking amazing. For $10 like I paid I would expect more stay power. It says it is chip resistant for up to ten days. I got to two days and could see the first sign of scratching and chipping on my nails. By day three I had to retouch my polish so it didn't look so rank.
I love the variety of colours this nail polish comes in and the formula itself. The brush is one of my favorite nail polish brushes for the pure fact that it really does give a salon finish. The drying time is not as fast as I would like it. It takes a good 10-15 minutes before I can do anything with my hands so that the nail polish is dry enough. I always add a clear top coat to protect it that little bit more. I fear that without a top coat it may have chipped well before the day three mark. For an everyday nail polish at an affordable price this would be perfect but if you are looking for stay power this is severely lacking.
Tips: Use a clear top coat on top to protect the nail polish that little bit more.
My favourite shade of red polish is from this range, and it stays on my toes practically all summer long.
When I apply it on my fingers, I find it lasts maybe 2 days before chipping - and that's with base and top coats to help lock it in place. To be fair, my job has my hands constantly in and out of water, so maybe I'm unusually rough with my nails.
The brush is quite wide, which personally I don't mind. But if you like a really precise application with a smaller brush this might not work.
Overall, it's no better or worse than other polishes at a similar price point.
