Generally I'm a huge fan of Too Faced as a brand. They always seem to provide beautiful products with gorgeous packaging that I'm always happy to see sitting on my vanity.
This particular product comes in a thick, cardboard tin which doesn't bother me, it looks appealing and protects the contents but sat on top on the inside is a plain white piece of foam which isn't pretty at all. (for the cost I'd expect at least a print of the logo or something on it, even a simple little ribbon bow)
The product itself is very disappointing, I don't expect the container to be overflowing but one measly layer of beads/40 tiny hearts just doesn't cut it for $40+. I truly expected there to be more product, you can see the bottom of the container clearly through the layer and the foam slip in the top to protect them takes up more space!
The beads themselves are pigmented but it takes a bit of work to pick up the product without just leaving a big mess in the container and little on the brush. I'm not too keen on the size of the shimmer particles either, there is a fair bit that is just too big and leaves me feeling Edward Cullen-esque which isn't a good look.
Would I use it again? yes, I will use it as a highlight but only because I paid so much for it. I wouldn't purchase it again though!
I am a huge fan of the Guerlain Meteorites and the heart shaped little balls of blush/bronzer/highlight appealed hugely to my inner princess. It's cheaper than the meteorites and isn't as much of a highend brand, so naturally I expected a little less. I love the pretty outer packaging and the cute little 3D hearts, it's so pretty I almost don't want to use it up. The foam sponge thing however looks cheapo like something you'd see stuffed in a shipping container. I threw that out and replaced it with a fluffy puff that I bought. As far as I can tell all the beads have some shimmer to them, with some more than others. This makes it a little unsuitable to use as a bronzer as I don't really like my contouring to be shimmery. If this had two color options maybe (like highlight with lighter beads and bronze with just dark beads) then maybe I'd be a bit more keen. Instead this works like those overall glow powders. It does pick up easily using the real techniques blush brush and distributes evenly on my face. But the finish just isn't my thing. Another thing I'm a little disappointed about is the number (literally countable) of beads you get. This is nothing like the meteorites where you have the container almost packed with layers of balls. This has just one measly layer and looks sadly sparse. Luckily though this doesn't seem to get used up very quickly, and the hearts still look the same size as they did when I first bought it. I still love it and occasionally use it but I wouldn't buy another one, especially not at full price.
