Anti Shine Cleanser

I have just purchase this item recently at the warehouse while it was on special. I was really excited to try this cleanser out because my skin is really oily & I hate the shine on my skin. First week using this product I notice my skin wasn't that oily & the moisture help the shine aswell. I did notice the pores on my nose wasn't so noticeable too so I was very glad this product help. I love the scent , it has a calm refreshing smell. After a month or so my skin started to dry out badly so I immediately stop using this product. Besides my skin drying out , this product did help my skin & it was affordable.

Tips: I would honesty you this cleanser a couple of times a week cause it does dry your skin out. But just saying every bodies skin is different :)

Garnier Moisture Match Facial Cleanser Anti Shine

Having oily skin I have spent quite a long time looking for a gel cleanser, so when I saw this for the first time I was naturally quite excited. This definitely has a different feel about it. When I first started to use it I felt like there was some sort of residue left after I washed it off. Not sure if that was because I hadn't exfoliated before hand or not but I wasn't overly impressed.

After this I tried exfoliating first and then using it and it is awesome! It leaves my skin feeling really clean and fresh without feeling tight or squeaky like sometimes happens with other cleansers or soaps.

I can tell when I havent used this cleanser as (if I used it at night) the next day my face is shiny and definitely more oily. So it is definitely making a difference to my skin and keeping the shine under control.

Haven't seen a major improvement blackhead wise, but in general my skin has been pretty clear since starting to use this.

I love the scent! Its not too strong, but just has that fresh green tea smell. Mixes nicely with the matching moisturise, so you don't need to worry about conflicting scents! Both are smelling so fresh, emphasis on the fresh!

Definitely would recommend giving this a go! Especially when used in conjuction with the matching moisturiser, they just go PERFECTLY together.

Garnier anti shine, but also super drying

I bought this as it was the cleanser on special. I usually have a few problems with oily skin especially during the summer so I thought this would be perfect for me.

When I used it, it did clean my face, but afterwards it felt as though all of the moisture had been taken from my skin, I had to moisturise with a lot more than I normally do, just to make my skin feel normal and not as dry as sand paper.

Having said that, I think I will only use this cleanser 2-3 times a week because it does dry my skin out. It has a great smell which is nice in the morning

Tips: I found that it came out quite runny, so if I was in a rush, I often managed to squirt out more than I needed, so be careful when squeezing the bottle

I did not like this product at all!

I used this Garnier cleanser over autumn 2014, but I really did not like the product. At the time I had oily, pimple-prone skin (I have since been told by a beauty therapist that my skin is also extremely sensitive, so I need to be careful with what products I use). I was using this product as a cleanser before Garnier 3-in-1, which I was using as a daily scrub once to twice a day (which I have also since stopped using as it has sensitised my skin even more).

The anti-shine cleansing gel by Garnier dried my skin out, it even went flaky, which I was super shocked about because my skin is so oily. It was too effective for my skin! Before using this cleanser I only got blackheads on my chin and occasionally on the sides of my nose, but when I stared using it I stared getting blackheads right through my t-zone. This in turn made me want to scrub my skin vigorously morning and night to remove the blackheads.

The bottle is an easy to use squeeze bottle. It has a thin - moderate gel like consistency that is easily applied to a wet face. You need about the size of a ten cent coin to cover your entire face. The bottle would probably last maybe three months, but I only used approximately half of the cleanser before throwing it out.

I would not recommend this cleanser to others. I really did not appreciate the results it gave me.

Just read your review, and I'm pleased to see that someone thinks it's as terrible as I did!

ooh I need to review this! I hated this also and ended up using the remainder to clean my makeup brushes and RT sponge.

Garnier Moisture Match Anti Shine Cleansing Gel

I managed to pick this product up for around $4 on a sale. However I really did not like this product.

Consistency- This cleanser was a super liquidy gel formula.

Application- This product was easy to apply however due to how liquid the product is I found myself using a lot more product than I needed too.

Fragrance- This product had a pleasant fragrance that was not overpowering.

Coverage- A small amount of product went a long way.

Usage- This product would last a couple of months of everyday use but you need to be careful when opening the tube as it is very liquidy and too much product can be easily dispensed.

Price- The price of this product was really affordable and is often found on sale.

Packaging- This product came in a upside down squeezy tube with a flip top lid, I did like this packaging as it meant no shaking a bottle to get every last drop out but I do prefer my cleansers to have a pump dispenser.

Results- This cleanser did cleanse my skin well but it also dried it out a lot, it left my skin feeling tight which I don't particularly like the feeling of. I don't think this cleanser really helped with the oiliness or shininess of my skin in the long term either. I stopped using this cleanser after about 3 weeks due to the effects on my skin and continued to use the product up whilst cleaning my makeup brushes and RT miracle complexion sponge.

Skin Type- I have very fair combination, blemish prone skin. I get an oily t zone but other areas of my face often get dry.

Repurchase- I will definitely not repurchase this product.

Tips: Keep an eye out for this product on sale.

Mild cleanser

I've been suing this cleanser for the last month, scored it on special for $7. Its ok, if you like a runny gel like mixture then this is for you. I found it a good mild cleanser but I prefer more intensive clean your pores type cleanser and sadly this was not the one. I googled and found if you mix 1/2 teaspoon of plain salt and baking soda with 1 tablespoon (mix together into a runny paste) then massage into your face..sounds crazy but the end result was cleaner pores and skin. After trying this in its standard form then trying it with my homemade form, I prefer the homemade formula lol

Tips: As mention above, if you want a gritty more intensive pore cleaning cleanser than add some salt and baking soda. I do the latter mix about once or twice a week, which makes the actual cleanser last alot longer.

Dried my skin out

My skin felt tight and dry after using this. I used it for about a month and stopped. I like the fresh scent and the fact that my skin feels clean after using it. It has a gel texture which is a clear indication that it is for oily/combination skin (that is why I tried it).

Tips: Use with a good water or oil based moisturizer to put back the moisture stripped from skin after using this cleanser.

Such a yummy scent to this one

I brought this cleanser in the hope it may keep some of my breakouts at bay. I don't really suffer from shine on a regular basis just breakouts and large pores so I was hoping this would combat that. Firstly the scent of this cleanser is amazing- it smells to me very similar to Elizabeth Arden green tea which was my first perfume and one I still love. It is a gel like cleanser with a really generous foam (so you probably only need a small amount). My skin doesn't feel tight after using it, just fresh and clean. I think the green tea smell helps me wake up a little in the mornings! Unfortunately I haven't noticed any difference in my blemishes they still seem to pop up on the regular despite my vigilance with cleansing! My pores do seem a little tighter, but my using this cleanser has coincided with being more vigilant with toner and masques, so I am not sure to which thing I can attribute the change. As I don't really get oily patches throughout the day I cant comment on its ability to reduce shine. I will continue to use this cleanser as I am obsessed with the way it smells and love the fresh feeling my skin has afterwards. Not too sure if I will repurchase however at this stage.

Loved it!

I have very oily skin and this product helped combat the excess oil a little bit. It smells lovely and I really like the consistency of it. A little bit goes a long way so I found it lasted me a good amount of time, and the price is really affordable. Probably my favorite face wash to date as I prefer the gel ones over the creamy ones.

Garnier Moisture Match Facial Cleanser Anti Shine

I have been using this cleanser nearly everyday. I have super oily skin and decided to pick this up a couple of months ago to try out because it was only $7 on sale. I honestly love this cleanser as it helps clean my face, removes excess oil as well as keeping the oiliness of my face at bay. On days that I am not lazy I will apply it onto my face then use my clarisonic to clean my face and get rid old dead skin cells. Other lazy days will be me just applying the gel on all over my face and then massaging in circular motions and then rising off. I found that the results were not super amazing but overtime this is a very good product to use.

Tips: Use the matching moisturiser after.
