I was drawn to the funky bright packaging of these. There are five in the range but I decided on Candied Nectar as it smells the best in my opinion. Candied Nectar smells divine, it's like a blend of apricot and peach plus it has the added benefit of shea butter and grape seed oil which make for a truly wondering taste and smell. The jar is bright orange with the signature M.A.C black lid. One thing I like about the packaging is that the lid screws on tight so it stops air getting in. To apply you simply dip your clean finger into the jar, scoop out a generous amount and use circular motions to help remove dry skin. It can take a good few minutes for the sugar granules to dissolve or you can simply wipe them away. I prefer to let them dissolve on my lips as I feel like I am wiping after the nourishing goodness. Because the lip scrub is sugar based it is very gently on your lips. I find it does a good job at removing dry flaky patches but it probably does a better job at conditioning my lips. While it does keep my lips soft and smooth there isn't anything really special about this lip scrub compared to others I have used before but I keep reaching for it because of the taste and smell. They are expensive at $36 so I would say it's a treat rather than a necessity so I'm not sure if I would repurchase again once I run out.
Tips: It does have a slight orange tint but it doesn't last long.
