Nars Illuminator Review

Wonderful shimmer.Give a nice glow of health. A little goes a long way . Well worth the money. Nars really got it right with this one.

I have this illuminator in the colour Orgasm. OMG it is so lovely, and such a multipurpose product.

1. For a fresh glowing look, I use this as a bronzer replacement and it's wonderful. Inspired by the new Chanel clear face campaigne. This illuminator adds the warmth of a bronzer blush to the cheeks, and the glow of dewy healthy skin. I absolutely love it.

2. Just use as a regular cream highlighter. A nice alternative to powder highlighetrs, which is great for my dry skin!

Highly recommend giving this product a go.

I purchased this as part of a set in the colour Orgasam and I love it. Its pretty pearly colour is perfect for cheek bone highlighting or under lip gloss for extra colour. You only need a small amount and I tap in into my skin with my fingers. I always have people asking me what my highlighter is. I've tried it mixed with my foundation but I'm not loving the finish, it might be the foundation I use just doesn't work with it. I've had my little tube for 2 years now and have just repurchased a big one. It gives a pretty glow, with gold highlights without being glittery. I'm going to look at the other colours now I love it so much.

This is one of the most intense highlighters I've ever used! I usually don't like liquids but this is amazing. I apply it with a small beauty sponge to my cheekbones, but I have to make sure it's blended properly or it can just look like a stripe on my cheek.

I know people also like using this under foundation, but I tried it and it clung to dry patches I didn't even know I had.. So I wouldn't recommend doing that if you have dry skin!

You can use this for anything though - mix it with foundation, lipstick or as eyeshadow and it will give a beautiful glow. I love it so much!

I received a mini tube of this illuminator in Laguna as part of a Nars gift set. The illuminator looks a little scarily brown and shimmery when first swatched but is actually very sheer and natural when applied to the cheekbones and forehead (even on y super fair skin). My favourite way to wear this is when I am wearing a more dewy look- BB cream, cream blush, mascara and a bit of this applied with my real techniques stippling blush. The result is quite subtle and natural and just gives my fair skin a bit of life. I have used this layered underneath other bronzers but IMO its not really worth the extra effort when used that way. I imagine this will be really nice in summer!

This mini tube will last me a long time but I would probably repurchase another mini at the right price.

I use this illuminator in 'Copacabana' most days just to liven up my skin. It goes well over BB creme or applied with a brush over foundation. It has a nice consistency and absorbs into the skin well, must be aware to blend well though otherwise you can get a clear line where you haven't. It lasts really long because you only have to apply the tiniest amount for it to show, and shows well in daylight, sort of a dewey look if you apply it right. Very nice product to have. However I would use the albatross illuminator if I was doing my make up for an occasion.

Nars Laguna- Best for dark skin or for those who just want a tinted moisturizer.

I tend to use this when my skin is looking dull and dry and either mix it with a matte foundation or when I want a shimmer in my bronzer.

Doesn't have too much glitter and gives a really nice shine. I recommend this to be placed under a bronzer or used as a highlight. But it does look nice to make you look dewy for those dry winter months.
