Like most pump activated foundations, this took a few squeezes to get out the first time I used it. Subsequent uses were less problematic.
I squeezed it out onto the back of my hand, as I do with most liquid foundations, the first time ending up with way too much, and the second, not enough. The consistency was nice, not greasy, and very speadable.
For the first try, I applied and spread it with my fingertips, doing my left side first, then the right. The product was soft, spread easily and blended fairly well, although I did encounter a couple of small streaks around my nose, where I clearly missed applying it.
After I'd finished applying it, I checked it in the mirror. Coverage appeared light-medium, and I could still see freckles through the colour of the foundation. Overall the finish was soft to touch, dried easily and didn't feel too tacky or dewy. My skin had a nice light glimmer to it.
For the second and subsequent applications, I used a brush, which gave me more even coverage and a smoother look. Although I hadn't pumped out enough, it was easy to fix.
This foundation definitely didn't dry my skin out, nor did it make it greasy, so it was perfect for my combination-dry-mature skin.
Overall this was a nice everyday foundation. I wouldn't recommend it as evening makeup, as the coverage isn't quite heavy enough. I suppose one could build coverage with this product, but I prefer a ready made product for that purpose.
This foundation seemed to blend really nicely even when I was in a rush and putting it on with no primer underneath, and that is what sold it for me. It is a medium coverage foundation that is quick and easy to apply, leaves my skintone looking even (and therefore radiant), and is buildable.
I like the pump wand, and I found it was easy to keep clean and to dispense the right amount of product.
The shade I picked online (without having tested the foundation itself) was slightly darker than I had imagined, and I was worried it would be too dark/orange. However, when I applied it, I found it so smooth and it really glided onto my skin and blended easily, leaving my skin looking really nice (this was regardless of what moisturiser and/or primer I applied underneath - although it did seem to look at its best with the primer from the same range).
It is rare that I find this with a foundation (as most tend to leave dry patches even when my skin is really primed), so I was really impressed. Due to the way it blended, it was easy to build up which was also great.
It left quite a matte finish, with my usually oily skin just slightly shiny by the end of the day. I was worried a foundation with the key word 'radiance' might just make my slightly oily face look oilier, but it really made me seem to glow and evened out my skintone without making me oily - absolutely ideal, and something I am always looking for in a foundation.
I think it will be the perfect foundation to bring back out in Summer, when my skin naturally darkens. Plus it has SPF protection which is even better! I would definitely purchase it again.
Tips: Start with a light layer and build up the coverage until you get your desired level of coverage.
