Trilogy Instant Bronzing Gel

I am very scared of fake tans!! I have had many bad experiences with them, so I'm so glad I found this one! It's easy to apply evenly without smears and lines etc, which is what usually worries me the most! Also, another plus is the smell isn't as bad as other fake tans! It is strong, but it doesn't smell like a usual fake tan, it's actually quite pleasant.

This was a little too sheer for me and was a teensy bit orange. It is sparkly and quite thin as you would expect from a gel. I think this it's really great if you want just a touch of colour and shimmer but if you want a noticeable tan you may have to build on it a lot. I really love how it is a natural product and recommend it for those who are looking for more of a tinted shimmer bronzer.

This self tanner is different from others I've tried as it leaves a very subtle sparkly shimmer on the skin. It has a thin consistency and a tint which makes it easy to apply as you can see where you've applied it. I found it produced a good colour that looked natural and it dried quickly on application. The smell was also minimal which I prefer to other self tanners which often has a strong odour. My only reservation is the price- slightly more than I would tend to pay. Despite this I loved the product and would recommend it to friends.

I was quite excited when I found out I was trialing Trilogy's Instant Bronzing Gel. The only other trilogy product I had tried was the Everything Balm and it lived up to its expectation, so this product had high expectations. When I applied the gel, it went on evenly and had a slight shimmer and a caramel tint to it. This acted as a guide as to where I had already applied, which I thought was fantastic as I'm not a fan of the blotchy tan look. I smell was very strong and even after I had rolled my sleeves back down, I could smell it but luckily it had a pleasant coconut, caramel fragrance. After day 1, I could see the colour coming through on my skin and applied another coat. After day 2, it looked as though it was summer and my skin had a natural tan to it. I applied it for a 3rd day and was very impressed to see the results, as my skin looked exactly the same tone as the end of summer and very natural looking. I feel like this gel works well for fair skinned ladies, as it is not a very dark shade but complimented my skin perfectly. The wear-off was as pleasant as the application. I thought that it may have come off blotchy, but not a single patch was spotted. The tan was very gradual at wearing off and looked natural everyday. The only thing I can fault with this product is that the lid didn't seem to 'click' shut as normal beauty products do, but now I think about it, it may be a clever design so that it is easy to open up again if you have applied some tan, need more and your hands are slippery. It wasn't really a problem for me anyway as the bottle stands upside down, so the weight of the product helps keep the lid shut.

So before trialing this, I had never used a tinted gel before. It was a bonus being able to see where to put it! It smelt divine but the second day it smelt more like tan. The immediate effect was gorgeous tbough...not too overwhelming on the colour but also had a nice golden shimmer through it so you didnt have to wait for results as the shimmer effect was instant. At the same time, I did feel though the next day the shimmer made the skin appear slightly patchy. All in all,I did like it and I got heaps of compliments on my tan but I am on the fence about whether or not I would re-purchase.

I'm quite pale so am always a bit nervous about trying fake tans as a lot of them tend to make me look orange but Trilogy Instant Bronzing Gel worked a treat! The gel was easy to apply and the bronzer aspect meant that I didnt miss any spots and had an instant shimmery glow. Being able to build up the tan over a couple of days was great as well as it meant that I was able to achieve a light tan to start and go darker if I wanted instead of going straight to a colour that might not have been right! I also found it smelt better than a lot of products I've tried - a more natural caramely/ coffee scent mixed in with the usual fake tan smell. Overall, very impressed and will be purchasing more of this product for Summer :o)

I am really on the fence with this product. I loved the smell - it was really nice to have a product that didn't stink after applying and I also loved the shimmer in it! It was super easy to apply being a crème (I used my tanning mitt) You did need a fair amount of product to do your entire body and I don't think the bottle would last more than 3 or 4 applications. It is also designed to be built up over a few days - because I tan 2 or so times a week I found this to be a bit time consuming. The colour had a bit too much orange for me as well. Due to the light colour with each application and the ease of applying I would totally recommend it for first time tanners :D

This product has an interesting scent, its defiantly a fake tan smell, but also mixed with something else, it is not unpleasant though. It leaves a nice tan on the skin, it does get patchy over time though. The Gel formula is easy to apply, and doesn't stay sticky for long. However I cannot say that I have finished the tube though because the shimmer is so intense, so much gold glitter. I do love glitter, but in a fake tan, all over the legs its a little bit much.

This is such a fantastic bronzer. Extremely easy to apply, and doesn't get streaky. Also really easy to build. I layer this every couple of days to continue the colour and build it up. It doesn't go orange but stays a really nice bronze colour.

This is really easy to use for a nice and natural tan. It is quite shimmery and has quite an intense coffee, coconut cocktail sort of smell. It is not very long lasting, but I don't mind since it is a natural product
