Tips: Use this if you have any blocked pores it's amazing does what it says
This body butter gives a glowing effect to my entire body. I love it so much. This is my go to body butter. This has helped with pimples and more.
This was great. It has a really powerful peppermint smell which I quite liked but my husband was not to fond of so I would suggest that you be a peppermint fan. It was refreshing and I felt great after using it and wouldn't hesitate to keep buying it.
Tips: No real tips, just a heads up that the peppermint aroma is quite a strong one.
I purchased this to use for my morning showers when I feel like I need to wake myself up! The minty smell I thought would be a perfect, relaxing start to the day.
I love the smell, exactly as describe - minty - but it’s not a gross chewing gum or toothpaste minty, but rather an authentic smell.
It is a relatively thick formula that has exfoliating beads - while this is a nice idea, it’s completely gone to waste as the thickness of the cream suffocate the beads and the beads can’t do much exfoliating - if you understand what I mean. Basically the beads won’t exfoliate, they just pop on the skin.
It leaves you feeling nice and clean, and the smell lingers on you for a long time which I appreciate, and it definitely helps make you feel awake.
My issue comes with the bottle. While it is a nice big bottle, with a really good price attached to it, and will last a really long time, it’s also a nice sturdy bottle that will balance on it’s own, I find that the material that the bottle is made out of, is completely useless when trying to squeeze the product out.
Now when the bottle is full, this isn’t really an area of concern, but when you get to half the bottle, or even less than half, it is a complete nightmare and half trying to get that product out. It’s really really difficult to squeeze out, and the thickness of that product doesn’t help at all.
In contrast when you first have the bottle, I find that way too much product comes out! There is no consistency.
I would purchase again, because I love the scent, and I think it works great, but at the same time I wish the bottle would be much more practical.
I am a sucker for anything peppermint, and so when I saw this new scented body wash from Palmolive, I had to have it. Lucky for me, I received a sample of it, so I was able to try before I buy.
The product is a creamy white consistency, and contains small exfoliating beads, which are evenly spread throughout the product. This product smells like Christmas. Honestly if you love peppermint, you will love the smell of this body wash. It is sweet, and minty and delicious. Yum! The body wash is really creamy which does not dry out my skin. Bonus points.
The product comes in a see through bottle. An aspect I love with my shower products because it lets me keep an eye on how much product I have left, and lets me see the goodness inside. The bottle is shaped nicely, and has soft curves, and gives the idea that it will be really easy to hold and use in the shower. But the design of this bottle is the Achilles heal of this body wash. The product is near impossible to get out of the hard plastic bottle, especially with the small sample bottle, I found I was able to get 1/3 of the product out, and the rest.. well I tried everything, I tried leaving the bottle upside down in the shower, which was hard due the curved lid. I also tried mixing water with the product, which helped but overall, I just got really frustrated with this product, so much in fact, I just gave up and threw it in the bin. Something I never do.
I love the smell of this body wash, and appreciate the exfoliating beads, although I did not find them very effective, but would appreciate their use for those with sensitive skin. If Palmolive redesigned this bottle, I would seriously consider repurchasing this product just for the peppermint lover in me, however until this happens; I will be keeping my distance for this product, and all Palmolive products that are packaged in a similar way.
Tips: Palmolive, please oh please redesign the packaging of this bottle!!
I originally bought this product just after it was released. I absolutely love mint and a genuine minty fragrance. I thought this would be perfect to use for my morning showers when I feel like I need to wake myself up! The minty smell I thought would be a refreshing, perfect start to the day. The fragrance definitely leaves you feeling nice and clean, and the smell lingers and it definitely helps make you feel awake. The fragrance gets a definite 5 out of 5 from me.
The product is a creamy white consistency, and contains very small exfoliating beads. The beads appear to be evenly spread throughout the product. If you enjoy a mint fragrance, you will love the smell of this body wash. It is fresh and minty. The body wash is really thick white and creamy which did not dry out my skin but rather seemed to moisturise it as I used the exfoliator in the shower. I must add here that because the cream is so thick the presence of the beads is barely felt. I did not feel as if I had used an exfoliating cream but rather a body cream. The appearance of the cream gets a 5/5 from me, the feel of the cream and the moisturising abilities a 4/5. It is the thickness of the cream that I feel inhibits the beads from doing their job effectively so I would give the exfoliating factor a rather sad 3/5.
The product comes in a see through bottle; it is a nice big bottle. The price is very affordable and you feel like you are getting a bargain when you pick up the bottle as it is nicely shaped, with gentle curves and it is made with what appears to be very thick, sturdy, expensive, luxurious clear plastic. The bottle gives the perception that it will be easy to use. This is where the problem begins. My issue is with the thick hard plastic that the bottle is made of. Whilst it is easy to use the initial few “squirts” from the bottle it them becomes damn near impossible!!! Not matter how I shook, threw, jerked, squeezed or squashed the bottle is securely held its contents, much like Aladdin’s cave did not want to give up its treasures this bottle held onto its exfoliating lotion. (And yes I even tried open sesame along with many other words as I desperately tried to get the lotion out of the bottle!) I must say I contemplated cutting it open, throwing it away or just letting the kids have it! For the appearance of the bottle I would give it a 4/5. For the ease of use of the bottle an incredibly sad 1/5.
Tips: Be prepared for a fight to the death with the bottle - but what you get out of it may just be worth it!
I love peppermint in any shape or form. Starbucks frappes, candles, tea, toothpaste (a bit unavoidable there haha), chewing gum – you name it, I’ll like it better if it’s peppermint scented/flavoured. So, even though I’d seen this had a less-than-average rating on here, I decided that I needed this in my life… and into my shopping basket it went. Phew, that was an epic tale! Read on to see if my peppermint expectations were met…
Let’s get the controversial part out of the way first: the packaging. Nearly all of the reviews I’d read before purchasing this said that the bottle was almost impossible to squeeze and therefore really hard to use. I do agree that it is a very stiff plastic, and the shape makes it difficult to use. However, I’ve got around that by storing it upside down. Not ideal, given that’s it not designed to do that (the top is curved), but I keep all my shower things in a hanging basket in the shower anyway, so it does work for me. When it’s upside down the product is obviously sitting on top of the opening anyway so it comes out super easily without you having to break your wrists trying to squeeze the bottle.
The name of the product is actually very descriptive – it is super thick, and does remind me somewhat of a body butter, although it does lather up like a body wash. It can be a bit hard to spread around, so I probably use more of this at a time than a normal body wash. It is slightly gritty, as per the exfoliating description, but it’s definitely not a heavy-duty exfoliator. I have absolutely no problems using this daily. It rinses off easily and leaves my skin feeling clean, soft and not dried out (although I still usually use a moisturiser anyway).
But onto the important part: the scent. This really is amazing. It smells like a candy cane – super fresh, slightly sugary, and very, very minty. I love using it in the shower, as it makes the whole bathroom smell amazing. However, the scent doesn’t really last on the skin once I’m out of the shower, which makes me a bit sad. Ultimately it’s not a bad thing, as I don’t have to worry about it clashing throughout the day with my perfume, but personally I would prefer it if it lasted a wee bit longer, peppermint fan that I am!
Overall: I wouldn’t say this is an outstanding body wash (and definitely not a serious exfoliator), but because of the scent and the way it leaves my skin feeling, I still really like it. The bottle is a downside, but if you have some way of storing it upside down it’s not too difficult to use. I probably will repurchase at some point.
I was lucky enough to get a couple of these trial size bottles in the mail. I totally thought it was body butter. Talking to friends they told me what it was. Ok well that was lucky!
I took them into hospital with me knowing a fresh exfoliating item would make me feel great. Well so I thought.
The bottle shape is really nice. Easy to hold. Easy to open. That's where the easy finished! In hospital I couldn't shower on my own, I had to have a nurse or my husband with me. So I tried squeezing this out and the first bit came out. I couldn't squeeze it hard enough to use it. So I gave it to the nurse, she struggled. Next shower I gave it to hubby thinking I was just weak due to surgery. "What a fool of a thing!" Was his reply (again)
So the contents is really really thick! The bead things get lost in the thickness, you can't feel them. The smell was ok, just not mmmmm yum. It did feel to moisturise slightly. Not a drying out formula.
So I won't be buying it again mainly due to the bottle. If you can't use a small one, how can you use the big one and get it all out! It's not flat that it could be turned upside down. I think the company have a good start of a idea, just hasn't been followed through properly!
What is better than a relaxing bath? Enjoying that bath with an amazing body wash.
I received a sample from them via their Facebook page and after one use I bought a full sized bottle. Mainly because I got it on sale for $4.99 at my local New World. You see, just the day before in Pak n Save they had them for $8 - and sorry, but I'm not going to pay $8 for it. Then I'd rather buy something I know I like.
But... I did buy the full sized one and I'm quite satisfied that I did otherwise I would've wanted it each week only to pay the full price and not be entirely happy. Would I repurchase? Probably not, and here's why:
The packaging is awful. You struggle to get the contents out and you have to squeeze really hard - and the bottle is still near full. I honestly don't know how you're going to get it out when it's half or below.
I love the smell of the peppermint, and it stays for a while after your bath/shower. I feel it fits perfectly with my Mane n Tail shampoo. Haha! Yes, I match my shampoo to my body wash. I'm weird like that.
The first thing mum remarked, and which I agree with her to some extent is that it's definitely not suitable for intimate washing.
It does have microbeads in as well (at least that's what they look like) so if you're environmentally conscious I'd suggest you steer clear.
As for it's claims to exfoliate? I'd say it does a 50/50 job at that. I have a loofer which I use and it's quite a hard scrub as opposed to when I wash with another, gentler wash. So it does exfoliate, but I haven't really seen a difference overall.
I'd like to buy the strawberry one next, but I'm still weighing between options as it has quite a lot of cons in my opinion.
Tips: Try storing the bottle upside down. If you're like me and can't though, give it a good shake before opening as it can be easier to get the contents out.
Well this and the coffee scrub are my favorite exfoliation scrubs , they smell so nice and go such a long way . Leave my skin feeling refreshed and invigorated. Such a good buy aswell , l definitely recommend trying either type .
