Tips: Just wash as normal u will be impressed
Loved this shampoo. My hair bubbled up well and was easy to apply. Rinsed out easily which was a bonus. After using this with the conditioner my hair feels light, clean and easier to manage. It also feels very soft and smells good too. I would definitely recommend this to others to use
Tips: Feels like it would be a great daily shampoo
The bottle is a pump (tick) and helpfully a different colour from the conditioner so it is easy to tell them apart. A small detail but a very important one.
The product comes out clear and actually almost gel like, it lathers up well and has a nice fragrance but not overpowering one.
I used it on it’s own without the conditioner for this review and it left my hair easy to comb out and style. Very happy with the results and would buy again when this runs out.
I honestly thought micellar shampoo was going to be a bit of a gimmick - I mean the whole point of micellar water is that you don't have to wash it off; so how would putting it in a shampoo, that you do rinse off, be any better than a regular shampoo?
Well. It just is. I don't know the science behind it all. What I do know is that my hair felt so clean after use, but not squeaky or stripped. This doesn't tangle your hair as you use it - I managed to get a wide tooth comb through just shampooed hair with very little effort.
I love the packaging (pumps yay!) of the range, the scent is heavenly and the price point really reasonable. All up - I'm wowed!
Tips: Use with the matching conditioner. Do it!
Disclaimer - this is a first impressions review. I received the products on Thursday, and started using them on Friday. This review was written Sunday. I'll be coming back to update this at some stage soon! :)
Hair situation: Mine is shoulder length, and half year-old dye, half my natural silver grey.
Shampoo: clear in colour, which distinguishes it from the conditioner easily and stops the moment of picking it up in the shower to check which is which. Lathers to quite a lot of foam, and the foam is quite light and airy. On first use the dyed ends of my hair felt a little dry after this, but we'll persevere. The non dyed upper parts felt nicer, so could just be the nature of the two parts of my hair. Washed out really easily from my hair, and didn't leave a scent. I use two pumps.
The packaging is attractive - I love the shorter squatter bottle shape. The pumps are securely locked initially, and when released dispense a good amount of product easily. I like the colouring, it vibes clean, fresh and modern. I absolutely hate the pointless extra labels that pop up - removed them immediately, and was mad at them for existing. Neither the shampoo nor the conditioner have a discernable scent. My hair dried (with a drier) pretty quickly after using this range, and blow dried reasonably smooth. After using my straightener it needed serum but looked good.
After washing, drying and straightening my hair, it felt nice - clean and soft - but had definitely gone a tiny bit frizzy and dry looking, and needed a serum to calm down. This continued through the 2nd and 3rd washes, but didn't get any worse. I'll likely stick to using this every 2nd or third wash, with the more hydrating products in the middle. The non dyed part of my hair seems to like this a lot better than the dyed part, so it could well be that this isn't a hydrating enough range for the dyed parts of my hair.
Tips: Update:
Have abandoned use of this, the dry hair got worse. Have given it away
I'm a bit of a salon snob, so I'm really surprised by how much I love this product!
The packaging is really nice and functional - I love a pump bottle for hair care - why do so many supermarket products still have a flip lid?!
The scent is ummy, nummy, yummy! You can smell it on your hair through the day, which I love.
The shampoo isn't too thick and I didn't need much for my hair length (bob), maybe one pump? I tried double cleansing with this, but I honestly don't think you need to unless you have a lot of product maybe. My hair was mostly free from knots before I got the conditioner!
The shampoo left my hair shiny and manageable, and it felt clean and free from product build up. For the price, I'm actually blown away by how good this is!
I have only used this a few times but I'm liking it so far. The pump bottle is great. My hair feels clean and soft. Lovely scent too which stays in my hair so I smell good too! Looking forward to seeing how I go with this with longer use.
Since my favourite shampoo was discontinued I have been on the hunt for a shampoo that leaves my hair clean while not irritating my scalp (and doesn't cost a small fortune). Pantene Pro V Blends Micellar Shampoo ticks all those boxes.
The packaging is glorious - It looks very salonesque and the pump makes it easy to dispense the perfect amount. The scent is DIVINE. Again - salonesque. It makes washing your hair a lovely experience and my hair smells lovely throughout the day.
I can't claim to understand how micellar works in shampoo, other than guess it removes dirt and oil much like micellar water removes makeup from the face, but I do believe this shampoo has made a difference to my hair. It feels cleaner, and it's nowhere near as oily - I usually have to wash daily but with Pantene's Micellar Shampoo I can go two days, which is a miracle for me! My scalp is easily irritated, and since using this I would say the itchiness has calmed right down.
I will repurchase and I will hope that, unlike my last favourite shampoo, it's never discontinued.
Tips: You only need a small amount to get a good lather going on.
I love the fact that this shampoo is targeted towards those of us with oily roots and that it omits any silicones. I only wish they formulated it without sulphates (SLS) as that can cause itchy scalps and oil imbalance. However if you're used to sulphates, then this is a affordable shampoo that cleans hair very well. The scent is strong, but not unpleasant. I found the shampoo did keep the oil at bay through the day, so at least it did do what it said it would.
I found it to lather well and rinse easily. I didn't need to repeat to get a good cleanse. After my hair was dry, my scalp wasn't itchy or flaky, and felt a lot less congested. My hair after styling had body and bounce. Would definitely recommend this!
