I bought a Braun Silk-epil Epilator years ago, and it's still going strong. It does a great job of removing leg hair, and keeping it away for 4-6 weeks. Initially it is painful, but skin and nerve endings soon adapt.
The interchangeable shaving head is ok, but takes some practice. I've never really got the hang of it, and recently asked the man about the house for advice on foil shavers! Suffice to say he couldn't understand the question. Google to the rescue!
I have been epilating my legs for over 20 years, and I’ve always had a Braun epilator. Now I have a Silk-epil that I’ve had for many years, and I am extremely happy with it. Like my previous Braun epilators it is very well made, easy to clean, and comfortable to use. It is certainly on the pricier side of epilators, but in my opinion it is well worth it given how well it is made. I really do not like the feeling of the stubble of shaved hair regrowing on my legs, so when I go on longer trips away I will pack my epilator rather than having to use a shaver. My only suggestion for improvement would be to design the Silk-epil with removable batteries rather than with a built in battery. That way it could be used with rechargeable batteries that can be replaced when needed rather than the appliance becoming useless when the internal battery fails.
