I got this when it first came out as it sounded amazing not only on TV but a lot of people on facebook were making posts about it being so amazing. Whiter teeth in 2 days? who wouldn't want to believe that. I was defiantly sucked in by the hype. I brought mine from new world for around $20 at the time i think it was on special, so i hurried home that night brushed my teeth with my pretty new tooth brush then began applying the teeth whitening gel, it says to do 2 clicks for the top teeth and 2 clicks for the bottom which i found was just enough, it says to avoid gums and swallowing. Well i found it hard to avoid the gums as i don't have straight teeth. It didn't hurt or anything when it touched my gums but did feel quite furry on my teeth. I found when i closed my mouth that a lot of the product came off so the next night i tried to not close my mouth and do it that way but i just ended up getting spit every where not ideal. On the second and third day i didn't see any results and i don't have white teeth id say mine are more on the normal side, i probably got at least one and half to two months with the whitening pen and never saw any results that i could really notice. I loved the packaging and how the pen went in the bottom of the tooth brush it was really handy but other than that i probably wouldn't buy it again but would recommend it to a friend as there teeth could be different to mine! i was so disappointed and wish i had seen the results i was hoping for, maybe i needed to try the optic white tooth paste as well?

I had relatively high expectations for this product as I had heard a lot about it and it seemed to get good reviews.
I bought the Colgate optic white toothpaste at the same time (which I liked better) and used both products as suggested. I brushed my teeth first then used the whitening pen. I think that the packaging was clever with the whitening pen fitting into the bottom of the toothbrush.
The first issue that I had was that there was no instructions on how long to leave it on your teeth for! I found this to be a huge issue for several reasons: 1) It said to avoid contact with gums etc, however if I closed my mouth it would touch my cheeks and it was hard to avoid my gums when applying. To keep my mouth open wide to avoid contact was hard and painful. 2) It also said not to swallow and I found this hard to avoid if I were to leave it on over night. 3) It did not feel nice on my teeth at all. 4) I did not want to risk leaving it on for too ling and getting sensitive teeth.
I did notice that my teeth went the tiniest amount whiter, however not enough that it waqs really noticeable. And definitely not enough to be worth the price.
I have not repurchased this product and I do not intend to. Overall it was hugely disappointing.
So... I've tried a few whitening pens in my time, I'm a smoker and a tea drinker!
I purchased the pen and toothpaste in a pack, and tried it over a 30 day period (guys, whitening isn't magic, it takes time) but little did I anticipate that it would take as long as this did.
After 30 days, I used the little colour chart they included and it had lifted maybe 1 shade if any.
Considering the awkward application of the whitening pen, it definitely wasn't worth it in my books.
Tips: You'd probably need to cut out any dark liquids and if you're a smoker, the cigarettes as well
I had really high hopes for this and it did not deliver. I had heard of whitening pens before and thought that this would be similar but it did not help whiten my teeth at all! The whitening pen was very hard to apply and you really didn't get much product, it didn't last me very long before it ran out. The formula was sticky making it hard to spread out and it was just not worth the money overall. I prefer there optic white toothpaste to this whitening pen.
I was really interested in trying this because I am a coffee drinker and my teeth do get stained so I thought I would give this a go even though I did find it a bit pricey.
I actually liked the toothbrush, it had rubber bristles in the middle and it gave my teeth a cleaner feeling. I used the gel twice a day for a full week and I didn't really notice a difference in 2 days so I continued until the end of the week. It definitely did make my teeth a bit whiter but nothing drastic. I also found that it whitened my teeth quite unevenly. My canines were not as white as my front teeth and so it looked really weird.
I absolutely hated the application of the gel, its very thick so it doesn't go on evenly and and if I close my mouth straight after the application I find that most of the product gets wiped off and get onto my gums and lips and its a really unpleasant feeling. It also tastes really bad.
Overall I would not spend my money on it again because it's not worth it and the actual optic toothpaste is way better.
Tips: Straight after you apply the gel, do not let your lips touch your teeth because it just comes off. Leave your mouth open for a little while to let the gel set on your teeth.
I brought the Colgate Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Whitening Pen because I wanted whiter teeth (funnily enough) and some of my friends had tried this and found it worked for them. That said they found it only worked when they applied it, not all day everyday. So I brought one too.
I was really excited to try the whitening pen, a pen sounded like a really assessible and effective way of whitening teeth. The first thing that went wrong was the instructions. There were lots of warnings about ingesting the product and then they didn't even tell you if you were supposed to leave the product on on what. So I left it on. It was really crunchy and tasted like being at the denists. In fact it reminded me of their polishing paste quite a lot.
And then after all that effort the effects were minimal and required a lot of maintaince.
The accompanying toothbrush I thought was just like a standard tooth brush except that you can slot the whitening pen into it. That was innovative and space efficent.
This product did not meet my expectations. it didnt whiten my teeth at all if anything made my teeth feel dirty and not clean at all :(
That whitening pen is not great, no big noticeable difference in whitening and it burns. The toothbrush is just a normal toothbrush you could buy from anywhere. Not worth the price.
Tips: Try crest whitening strips.
Yeah, I seen this on a commercial one day and knew then and there - I had to have it!!
I bought it from the supermarket for like $29.99 and apparently it was on special then, but you know I was like well if it whitens my teeth then I really dont mind, show me the results!
Its quite exciting to use, if I'm honest. I got a few of my other family members keen to give it a go (I must be the cool kid of the family haha). So you brush your teeth like normal and then detach the whitening pen and kind of just smudge it along your teeth. It doesn't really taste that good and dont get me wrong, it did whiten my teeth - but not as I would have thought. I dont know, maybe my expectations were too high but i think the media really made it out to be waay better than it ended up being.
I didnt buy it again once the pen run out. I bought a $10-$15 teeth whitening toothpaste and to be honest, I am a lot happier with my results now than I was with the whitening pen.
All things aside, it did make brushing your teeth a fun event :)
I brought this just before christmas.
The brush is so hard it hurt my tender gums, I did not notice if the toothbrush bristle design whitened my teeth any more.
I'm a coffee drinker atleast 4 cups in the morning.
Now the whitening pen...seriously what is the point! I almost used the entire product and you get bugger all! I noticed NO difference.
It tastes like toothpaste it's sticky like toothpaste, I think colgate's optic white toothpaste is alot better.
If you get it on your lips it's a sticky mess.
I do not recommend.
And really for the price! I paid $18 at Pak n Save it's not worth it.
