This product is really great! I have always hated using aerosols for my deodorant, and so when I found this product I was really happy. I find that I stay "stink" free for longer with this than with any other deodorant that I have tried. It's super easy to use and smells great.

Lush The Guv'Nor Review
Lush The Guv'Nor A new powder deodorant, based on the formula for The Greeench – just for men! The inventors have done many deodorants over the years but The Greeench is pretty much unbeaten for our best ever. Mark’s combined ultra-absorbent charcoal-powder with lycopodium powder for a double-sweat absorbing super deo. It’s tried and tested by the inventor himself; worn under white shirts every day for three months. We think this one might just be for the boys! Secretly, Mark’s always wanted to do a product just for men – but he knows that the ladies of the household always pinch anything he does for blokes anyway! This time we’ll know if ‘her indoors’ has pinched it – the black hands will be the proof! Mark thinks (or likes to think!) that this product is named after him. He believes that Simon Emmerson (of Imagined Village fame) has a secret nickname and piece of music named after Mark – and just hasn’t confessed to it…yet. Mark’s always wanted his own theme music – a bit like Lord Sugar on the Apprentice! Simon Emmerson composed a piece of music called ‘The Guv’nor’ and every time they played it on stage, would announce that ‘it was soon to be a new product in Lush!’ So, Mark thought he had better make a product to live up to Simon’s promises at his gigs! Historically lycopodium powder was used as a dusting powder for skin diseases.

This product is a bit of a hit and miss for me. I like it, but it doesn't really do what I want. I received a sample of this before Lush changed their pots over, and after daily use for a few weeks I have finally run out. So if that's saying something, it is that getting a full size bottle will last you forever!
To me the powder looked black, or a dark purple. It looked smooth and like a talcum powder really, I didn't see any lumps. The smell is also quite different, it's manly but I feel like there's a strong hint of lavender in there?
To apply it says to use your hands but after getting really sick of that and the mess it was creating, I took Jess' advice of using a brush, and it's brilliant! Still fallout, yes, but not as much, and it applied much cleaner as well.
I didn't really notice this stop me from sweating but I never got stinky and for that I'm grateful. I don't think I'd buy again though, just as powder deodorant isn't really my thing. Stick it in a tube and we will talk!
I was looking for natural deodorants when I came across this on Lush's site. I hadn't ever used a powder Deoderant before so wasn't too sure what to expect.
This comes in a small bottle that is clear so you can see the product. The lid is a flip top and very easy to disperse product - best of all product doesn't come flying out and make a mess.
The Deoderant itself is a natural looking green that has the most awesome musky, herby scent. If you aren't a fan of warm, masculine scents then stay away from this. I'm pretty sure that this is marketed towards men but as I love musky scents this fits my wants perfectly.
The instructions say to put some of this on your hands and then to pat it into your underarms. This works just fine but I not personally keen on touching my underarms every day. To get around this I have a kabuki brush that I use specifically for my Deoderant. This works awesomely and covers the whole are super quickly and doesn't make a mess.
Because this is a powder you need to be aware there is some fallout. I found the fallout far less when I use a brush to apply it. Also, because this has charcoal in it, be aware that your underarms will turn black - not insanely black but they will go a little tinted. Thus this won't be used in summer for me.
This also doesn't claim to be an antiperspirant - and it doesn't act like one. This is about the only thing I really don't like about this. I personally prefer something to help prevent myself sweating. In saying that though, since using this I haven't had any issues with odour.
A little of this goes a long, long way so the bottle is going to last ages. I use it every day and have for just over a month, and I would say I've used less than a third of product.
I'll belie having this again for use when I'm not wearing sleeveless shirts. If you are looking for something natural and that works, this is a great option.
