Waxing with Nad's Facial Wax Strips

I often use facial/small prepacked wax strips but personally found these to be alot more harsh on my skin then other brands. The wax seems harder then others ive used an also took alot of self generated heat just to peal. It did remove the majority of the hair but did still leave more then other wax strips ive used at the sides of the wax strip. I did enjoy the scent and do enjoy nads products but found these to not be something id use again

Agreed, I found my skin reacted badly to the strips both times I used it, and it didn’t remove all the hair.

Nad's Facial Wax Strips

Wax strips? Not a bad idea... Although my facial hair is not really obvious... It does grow quite a bit on the sides of my face and funnily, also on my ears, which can be visible when the sunlight strikes the right spot. I was always worried if i plucked at it too much, whether it will grow thicker and darker.

This is when these strips came in handy... although it doesn’t cover a very large surface area of the face, it was enough to get rid of the side hairs.

The green apple coloured wax was a little stickier and harder than i first imagined it to be... I usually have cold hands, so it took an extra effort for me to rub and warm up the wax strips for use.. However, the consistency of the wax makes it a nice and gentle wax, which works quite well for the fine thin hairs, but not so much on the thicker.

I must say.. It wasn’t really fun trying to wash off the little residue of the wax left sticking to my hair or on my face, as it can be difficult to wash off without accidently pulling your hair.. which does tend to hurt a bit.

Despite this, the product smells natural and fresh.

Tips: Try not to go too close to the thicker hair when waxing your facial hair.. it’s ouch when trying to grt rid of the wax

Mess Free, Easy to Use

Nads is my wax brand of choice for home waxing. I usually wax my arms in the summer time, but occasionally worry about the hair on my upper lip, and my toes (eek). I’m not brave enough to make an appointment at a salon for facial hair removal, so these pre-waxed strips are great for home use.

Start with cleansing the skin area, and I like to use my hands to smooth hair down into one direction. Then simply warm the strips (2 strips stuck waxed side together), to soften the wax, for a minute or two (longer on cool days), then peel apart. I immediately fold one strip in half, incase I don’t need it, or don’t use it right away, and put to one side while I’m using the other strip. Apply in a quick motion, flat against your skin. Hold your hand against the strip, then rub it gently backwards and forwards just to make sure the wax is still warm and pliable, then holding your skin taught with one hand, and grabbing the end of the wax strip with your other hand, quickly tear the strip back on a 45o angle, against the hair growth direction. The faster you pull, and the better the angle, the less it hurts. And BREATHE out as you pull the strip across!

If you can’t stand the sting, as soon as you’ve pulled the strip off, place your free hand firmLY on the area you just waxed, it helps easy the pain! Repeat the process around the areas you want waxed, 2-3 times until the strip seems to no longer pull out the hair, or you’ve removed the hair. Rewarm the second strip in your hands, and repeat until you’ve sufficiently removed hair.

I have recently started waxing my eyebrows with these strips, not precisely (I wax as much as I can, but tweeze into shape), and it doesn’t hurt anywhere near as much as the top lip area! Because the eye area under the brow is so small, I cut a strip in half lengthways to do this area.

If you have sticky residue on your skin, use the non-waxed back of a used strip to remove it, just press it on, rub your hand up and down for a few moments then quickly lift off the strip - this usually removes most if not all residue. Be sure to use the post wax wipes - these help calm the skin down and lessen inflammation and redness.

Tips: Do your waxing at night, several days in advance if you have a special occasion coming up - gives your skin a chance to calm down, and any redness / inflammation to disappear before you have to go out in public.

Nads Facial Wax Strips

I have tried this product twice and each time my skin has reacted to it. I get red welts where the facial strip has been applied. I would not recommend this product, and definitely not if you have sensitive skin. I also found that the strip did not stick to all the tiny facial hairs and did not remove them, it just left wax residue on the skin.

Nad's Facial Wax strips

I really like these. Easy to use, the small double sidded strips are great on my 'tache. I find that you can apply, remove and reuse the same strip for a couple of times on one side, as long as it is still warm. Useful, as they don't remove everything in one go. I do think that they need to add more wioes, maybe as many as there is strips?

Tips: When I was getting this professionally done, the therapist did this BEFORE my facial. If you apply on to freshly cleaned skin, you run a risk of taking skin off too, I use these on my sensitive skin at the end of the day BEFORE cleansing. I have never had a reaction.

Never again

I used this before a wedding I had to go to and this was the worst decision ever. You have to rub the strips between your hands to soften the wax and then this is applied. I feel that this does not fully heat the wax even after doing this for several minutes. When taken off I found that I had a lot of hair that wasn't removed and they tell us not to use it on the same area again so there was no way to remove this hair. I also found I got a reaction to this and a wax burn where by skin became scabbed as a layer of my skin peeled off. I would not use this again, its not worth the risk of getting scabs at my upper lip again it was very unappealing.

These worked amazing on me

31 Years old and this is the first time ever using these wax strips. Due to lockdown I couldn't get my facial touch up and it was getting rather shocking (lol) I used to pay $12-$15 for brows, mo and chin wax but I won't be going back after using this, $11 for a box that'll last me at least 2-3 wax trips and money saved!

Tips: These are ONLY good for facial waxing, if you want to do other body parts then get the bigger wax strips

Breath of fresh air!

I’ve tried many wax strips, and absolutely love these. Removes all unwanted hair, and doesn’t irritate my skin at all. I usually get a rash after waxing, but i was hardly red at all. Would recommend these.

So easy you can do it one handed

I bought these as I have a broken arm and I cannot pre warm my other strips up. These are great as you don't need to do this step. They're a good size too for my sideburns!
