I usually go to the salon for facial waxing but have been looking around for a product like this for a while. I love that it doesn't have strips which has put me off home jobs in the past. It was very effective at removing small hairs and didn't hurt. I did find it a little difficult to heat and seemed to end up with a lot of product around the edges of the pottle. I'm hoping i will be able to chip it off and melt it again. Overall great product, cheap enough and easy to use. Will definitely be buying again when I want a quick home job in between salon visits.

Tips: Tends to need more microwaving than the instructions suggest.
This is my at home wax. I have tried many brands and this one seems to be the best. It smells nice, it goes on and off easily, and I have a cupboard full of the after wipes because it comes off cleanly and I never have to use them! I have been using this purple one for years. I usually go the salon to get waxed but if I see this on special at the supermarket I get it as its great for those last minute waxing jobs when it's too late to go to the salon and you really don't want to shave.
I do my girls underarms all the time with it and they have said they prefer me doing it with this than going into the salon- I hurt much less (unless they have shaved the time before and it kills hence why it is good to have it handy to prevent emergency shaving!) I must admit I prefer to do my own brazillian with this wax as it seems to hurt much less than at the salon- it just takes me a wee while longer!
The only down fall of this product is that you need a microwave and most microwaves are in the kitchen - not the most appropriate waxing location but I feel like the wax starts to set again in the running around time from kitchen to bathroom.
I have found it takes longer than recommended to melt- I make sure I sit it in another microwave safe dish in the microwave as this seems to help it melt better.
Tips: Don't over heat as it becomes brittle and hard to remove- nothing like having a blob of wax stuck somewhere awkward that can't be ripped off without breaking into little pieces to make a painful job even more painful!
Remove the stick after use so it doesn't set into the wax- you shouldn't microwave it with the stick in it - it can catch fire...from experience!
I used this for underarms and bikini, and i don’t get ingrown hairs or rash or residue, it comes off very cleanly (provided you apply it thick enough) and gets all the hair in one go! Better than applying wax then cloth strips you had to wash back in the day, this is an effective and no-mess product :) just don’t apply it while it’s too hot!
Tips: Don’t leave on your skin for too long (max 1 min), else it’ll be that much harder to peel off!
I use this for Brazilians and have found it to be consistent. I love that there is no strips and it makes waxing easier and quicker. The tub melts to a nice even consistency and spreads easily on the skin when not lava hot. The strips rarely snap when pulled off and don't stick to your skin. I find it leaves minimal residue which is easily removed with moisturiser and a shower after. I get quite a few goes out of one tub so the cost is quite minimal per wax- much cheaper than a salon.
Tips: If you have a very low pain threshold try smoothing on thinner strips of wax at a time.
Was gifted to me by a friend and absolutely loved it! This is a new experience from your typical shave or nair cream. And i'd definately reccomend it for at-home waxing and/or if you want to treat yourself to a little diy spa day in your bathroom.
I love how the tub is microwavable and makes waxing very easy, leaves not much room for mistakes which is great. I've used a tub for almost every hair on my body even a Brazilian, though i was scared that it would be too harsh - it was sensitive and didn't leave any ingrown. I'd definitely recommend.
Tips: I've used several times since opening the tub initially, something you can put away and not finish straight away. Just a quick pop in the microwave to set the wax again, ready to use :)
I bought this product after reading great reviews here, on BR. Sadly, it was a waste of both my money and time.
The first time I used it, I had to heat it for a little longer than the instructions said, to get that creamy honey consistency. I've used hat waxes before, I had no issue with application, but this was just refused to remove the hair from my upper lip. I did my toes at the same time and that was 'meh', it removed some of the long hairs but not all.
The next time I used it, I tried doing my legs. What a waste of time! The wax removed every second or third hair, sometimes removing more, some strips came off with absolutely no hairs attached to the wax, they were still on my leg.
One pot of wax later, and have to reheat a couple of times, I still had hairy legs and was so frustrated with this product that I was glad to see the pot go in the bin.
I really wanted to like this product, as I found Nair's Toffee Apple Sugar Wax (with strips) to be quite messy, but after this experience, I'd gladly use the Sugar Wax again.
I definitely won't be purchasing another pot of this wax, and wouldn't recommend it, as I ended up having to use my epilator in the end.
Tips: If you're looking for a decent wax for at-home use, rather try Nair's Toffee Apple Sugar Wax. It does have strips, but they are washable and reusable, and any wax residue does dissolve in water.
This wax is just like the stuff my beauty therapist uses on me, so as they claim "salon" quality. The tub is easy to heat in the microwave, and any unused wax doesn't go to waste as it just sets solid again ready to be reheated next time. I love the colour, and the scent isn't too bad. It works best when it's at a good hot temperature, and I found it excellent for Bikini and Underarm areas. Let the wax set solid before flicking up an edge to get a grip. Pull skin taught and pull wax away quickly against the direction of hair growth - easy! Be prepared to keep popping back to the microwave to reheat the pot, and remember to stir well to ensure temperature is even throughout. I love this wax and I would definitely buy it again, though would prefer to find it on special!
Tips: Keep reheating the wax as you work, if it's too cool, it just isn't going to be able to do its job
