Schick Hydro Silk Razor Review

This is a great Razor i have bad itchy skin so sometimes can be bumpy but when i used this it made my skin so smooth and felt moisturized, it was actually that good my partner decided to use it for his beard and i found his hair in it haha, i had to give it to him and buy myself another. Would recommend it even to males my partner loved it too.

This is the razor that I always use.

Have not found another razor that leaves my legs feeling so smooth.

With the dryness of my legs, it's good to find a razor that has the right kind of moisture to it.

With this razor I find that shaving cream is no longer needed :)

These razors are more expensive than others but are worth the buy because they are so effective and you can always buy more heads which are more affordable.

I am yet to find another razor that is as good as this one.

The packaging is feminine and really appealing to the eye.

I have recommended this razor to so many of my friends and family and they love it too :)

I confess to resorting to shaving on the odd occasion, although I prefer to was it is not always convenient. I purchased the Schick Hydro Silk razor at the local supermarket. It is inexpensive (the blades do cost a wee bit to replace) but the blades are super effective and do leave the skin feeling glorious afterwards. They do not cause any irritation at all and probably give the closest shave your could experience. Definitely ten out of ten. The clip for the shower is just an added bit of thought put into a cleverly designed product.

I went away to Europe for 6 weeks and took this shaver with me thinking I may have to buy another in Paris while there. Schick Hydro Silk certainly kept me going with smooth legs throughout my trip and as I was seeing so many wonderful countries I didn't want to waste any time at all shaving and moisturising. The Schick Hydro Silk certainly made life easier by quickly shaving in the shower and jumping out to do more activities each day saving me time. No need to buy another shaver as it's still going strong.

I purchased this on special at the supermarket and was impressed with the results and how long each cartridge lasted.

I felt the results were smooth and left not too dry.

I got this on special for about $9.00 so I thought it was pretty reasonable given you get two spare cartridges.

Has a pretty blue handle and comes with a handy shower clip, which i really like.

I quite like how this product has a self-moisturising serum that glides over your skin easy and freely allowing a quick shave.

Would purchase this shaver again.

I must admit I get lazy shaving my legs in winter because who wants to spend all that time in the shower grooming when you could be snuggled in bed in your onesie ;) Well this is my go to razor when I havent shaved for a couple weeks and I need my legs mowed! :)

Firstly, I must note how I love the blades and how they perfectly bend and contort themselves to your body's shape and just give you a smooth clean. One sweep (maybe two when you're lazy like me) and the hair just disappears. I love the serum that is dispensed whilst shaving because this add soothing benefits to my skin and helps me to not knick myself.

On the subject of the serum, I hate the way it stored on the top of the blade. I left one of my razor on the shower tray and the next morning it had leaked out and the shower and taps were covered in slime. I was not impressed that I didnt find any instructions on how to best store this razor after use.

Apart from my slime accident I love this razor and especially love that skin doesnt really need tonnes of moisturiser after shaving. Always a winner in winter when getting dressed takes priority over lotion for me :)

The blades seem to last a really long time because I'm still on my first blade after 2 months and its working like it brand new. I also love that the hair is cleans quite easily from between the blades because all I do is run the blades under the shower and the hair has disappeared.

I would recommend this to anybody who uses a razor for shaving because your skin is going to thank you for being so smooth and silky after shaving.

Had a great experience with no nicks and what have you but it's so slimy. You can't get the little hairs out when cleaning to save ya life cos it's stuck in the goo. It does work great tho. The curves mould into those areas that are normally harder to reach and it's an overall close shave

I have used this razor and variations of it for ages. Only downside is the price of the blade cartridges. However the razor itself leaves your legs feeling so smooth and soft afterwards. I haven't cut myself using it yet so that's a bonus, and it really just does what you want it to.

Ok so my sister was using this blade for the longest time, and I always noticed how prickly and harsh her regrowth was, especially in her arm pits. I also noticed that the hair line (if that is what you call it) in her armpit area was extending above and below the normal pit area. Meaning that there were hairs that went a little too far out of their armpit zone if that makes sense. I thought that might just have been her, and she used it religiously, so I thought I would buy one too.

I love that it doesn't cut. At all. With a regular razor, I would cut my self every single time I went in for a shave. Not with this one. The funny thing is, you can't actually feel this one either. With a regular blade, I could always feel it scraping against my skin, even with a thick layer of soap on before. The first time I used this, I had to stop and check to see whether it was actually shaving. It was. I also love that you don't technically need any soap with it, the bar around it is very smooth and silky and works better than any shaving cream.

I like that the head is movable, and moves with the curves of the body, which means it gets a real close shave, and I don't have to angle my hand awkwardly.

I find it difficult to clean however. The hairs are really tricky to get out, and the soapy layer around the blades goes slimy and to try to get the hairs out of it, I create little dents and scrapes in the substances.

Now, I have noticed that the hair line on my underarm is slowly starting to extend up and below the actual pit, which is something that I'm not happy with. I'm not entirely sure if this is a coincidence, or what, but I notice it.

My regrowth, especially underarm, is much rougher, and I'm finding that I need to shave more than when using a normal blade.. ehhh not happy.

I was skeptical at first, but tried these out withough soap or any shaving cream. Great result! Easy to use, the handle was easy to hold onto, the moisture strips were wonderful & the blades, sharp & effective. My legs were left feeling smooth & moisturised, I didnt have to put more moisturiser on them. Blades have lasted at least 5 weeks so far (with shaving approx twice a week) & i've already bought the replacement blades. Also will fit into my previous razor holder - yah!
