I received my new razor to trial, I was impressed with the cover that makes keeping it in the shower easy, especially with the moisturising serum as when I have left other razors wet for to long the soap/serum has worn out way before its time. With sensitive skin underarms I found this great, gentle and did a great job, and my legs loved the moisturising as I shaved. A great shaver. Love it!!!

Tips: If you have teenage daughters don't leave it lying around, maybe buy her one too, mine was very keen to try this too, and we have brought her one to use, she loves it too
I tried out this razor last night and I am very impressed. It left my legs feeling silky smooth after shaving and did not cut me once like other razors that I have used in the past. I brought a Schick razor similar to this a year or so ago and it worked really well so I had a feeling that this would be a good one. I will definately consider purchasing this product in the near future.
I love Schick razors and so I was excited to try this one with its 5 blades and it didn't disappoint. I found it easy to shave over all the curves and contours of my legs, no nicks and silky smooth legs. Result!
This is a little gem of a razor! I really liked it, and I was really happy with the result.
The Razor - easy to use, nice feel to it and shaped well for your hand. Also a great colour. The blades are wide enough that you get good coverage per glide, but not so wide that cutting becomes a problem around your knees and ankles.
The Result - The water activated gel is amazing and really does leave your legs feeling very smooth - almost a moisturised feel. The one morning I shaved my legs with this razor and didn't moisturise (doh!) I had a skirt on and bare legs - no flaky skin, no dry patches etc. I did on other days using this razor moisturise my legs afterwards and the result seemed to be a longer lasting effect of the moisturiser. It was a great finish and the shave was close, meaning I actually didn't shave for a whole extra day from my normal schedule!
The travel case is handy for throwing your razor into your gym bag - meaning no cut fingers or caught clothing if you are in a rush to find it in the bottom of the bag.
Tips: The razor doesn't come with a shower hanger - only a travel case. While the travel case is useful and means that the water activated gel doesn't leech or rub (think gym bag, toilet bag on holiday etc...) there is no way to hang it up in the shower. Purchase a small command hook or hold onto your last shower hook like I have to save yourself heartache!
I have found using this razor reasonably good and it had done the majority of what it has stated to do. The travel case has been really beneficial with it actually working unlike some other brands which means you wouldn't need multiple razors. The only downfall is the moisturizing serum runs out very quickly
I'm not so sure about the whole moisturising aspect about this razor as I did not notice my skin feeling any softer after using it. The travel case it comes with is really handy for storing in your toilet bag. The handle also fits nicely in my hand.
Tips: I would still moisturise after using
This razor exceeded my expectations. The 5 blades gave me a very close smooth shave. The moisture dots/strip that was activated when wet made the razor glide easily over my skin. A great shape too, fits to your hand.
I didn't get any irritation after having shaved which I usually do having sensitive skin. This is a big plus for me.
Usually i'm stealing my partners razor to get a better shave.... but this time I caught him stealing mine!
Tips: Wet the razor well to activate the moisturising serum
I'm usually very picky when it comes to choosing a razor - so picky in fact I usually just opt for my man's as I know its sharp and does the trick! I haven't purchased a razor in a very long time..so I jumped at the chance to try this new razor from Schick.
So, before testing it out, I made sure my leg hairs had grown a little bit more than usual (hehe), really wanted to test this baby out!
First impressions //
So smooth against my skin. I choose not to use soap whilst shaving my legs as the razor has the water activated moisturising serum (which I know isn't a substitute, but I thought I would give it a go) and it worked like magic. Smooth, no roughness or dry feelings either! So that's a bonus as dealing with one less thing whilst shaving is a plus! I imagine using the razor with soap would be extra easy too! One area I really cringe with are the knees! Bumpy and really tricky to shave, I found it super easy. The razor pretty much glided over and no nicks too. This is a big thing for me. I usually come out with hairy, patchy knees :) I didn't have to shave over the same patch more than twice either, the 5 blades make it super quick. I still had to rinse the blades every few shaves though, as I'm sure is the case with most and the extra growth with the hairs wasn't a problem either!
I also used the razor for under my arms - again really quick and easy, I did find it a little bit irritating after putting on my deo. I'm not sure if this is just a once off or due to new blades or just me having sensitive skin.
Before applying moisturiser i felt my legs were really silky smooth, without exaggerating - probably the smoothest they have ever felt!
A few little nit-picks //
Packaging, this is me giving an overall opinion, but the plastic case covering the head of the razor is slightly unnecessary. It's rather bulky and all you really need is a small plastic cap covering the blades. It would also save on plastic and package waste.
Overall thoughts //
Would I use it again? Yeah, for sure!
Did it do what it said it would do? It did indeed. The blade followed the natural curves, bumps and scars that I have with ease, no nicks over knees is a winner and it left me with legs feeling like silk! Who doesn't want silky feeling skin? No irritation after shaving my legs, but after shaving my armpits, there was a slight rash and irritation. But like I said, this could have been the deo. on freshly shaved skin.
Would I recommend this razor to a friend? Yup - definitely! Ticked all the boxes for me with what I look for in a razor. Quick, no fuss and leaves me with super smooth legs.
Tips: Don't leave it in the shower (your man will use it) ;)
First impressions: The packaging for this razor is easy to get into, which is something I can't say for its sister product (the Schick Intuition).
Five blades seems to be the most that razor brands are putting in their products at the moment. A little excessive? I've never had a problem with three bladed razors. I wonder how far this will go, maybe in five years we'll be seeing eight bladed razors?
This razor comes with a little travel cap which clips over the head. Nice touch, but I wish it came with a shower mount too, so it doesn't end up going rusty from sitting on the floor in my shower.
The razor head has a "water-activated moisturising serum" around the blade area. Another nice touch, although I found when I first used the razor that a little too much of the serum was "activated" and it ended up clogging the blades.
I didn't see as close a shave with this as I could achieve with the Schick Intuition, which is a bummer. I also cut my knee! I've been shaving my legs for ten years and this has got to be the first time in literally years I've cut myself. I guess this is a testament to how sharp the blades are!
In conclusion... well, this razor does its job. It certainly removes body hair. I'm not in LOVE with it, but I'll definitely keep using it.
Legs: This was my first experience using a 5 blade razor and it pretty much blew my socks off. Previously, I have only used single or double disposable blades. Oh. My. Goodness. 5 blades are so much faster! Imagine all the time I could have saved over the years, if only I had known! I found that the razor was very clever in protecting my legs from cuts, which I put down to the fact that the head is quite big and therefore harder to apply the wrong angle and cut yourself (although in actual fact, it's probably due to the skin guards on each of the blades). The head of the razor also tilts as it runs over your curves, which is pretty nifty. My legs felt perfectly smooth afterwards, which I think was due to both the moisturising serum and the skin guards - and because the razor gave a close cut. I used the razor with a foam shaving gel which, along with the moisturising serum, also helped to smooth the path that the razor took over my legs, although I found that the strips mixed with the water on my legs made it clog up and need rinsing a lot more frequently, which slowed the process down a lot. I imagine this will disappear with more use though. Under-arms: The razor worked fine on my underarms, but because of the moisturising serum clogging up the blades and the fact that the razor head is quite large, it ended up taking about 30secs to shave one armpit whereas my double-bladed disposable razor only takes about 5secs. Can't have it all, I guess!
Bikini line: Do not, I repeat, do NOT use this razor on your bikini line! Even with moisturising and exfoliation, within half a day I had burning, sore lumps where each hair had been cut off and was trying to escape back out through my skin. Obviously this was because of the close shave that the razor gave, leaving no hair untouched by its 5 blades. But it resulted in very painful regrowth, which I do not recommend trying.
Tips: It's great for using on your legs, ok for underarms - but avoid bikini lines.
