Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Deodorant

Love the idea of a natural deodorant but this one seems to make you smell worse. Skin reacted a bit to it aswell

I switched from anti-perspirant roll on to Thursday Plantation Tea Tree deodorant after developing contact dermatitis in my armpits after shaving. I thought the tea tree oil would help calm my skin and clear up the dermatitis.

While it has a strong tea tree smell upon application, this quickly wears off and the roll on needs to be applied every four hours to prevent body odour. Working with clients all day, this was not ideal or convenient for me, and I was paranoid about body odour. The one day I couldn't reapply frequently, and I did smell awful by the end of the day.

Another thing I wanted to mention, is that this roll on stings badly. It takes two to three minutes for the stinging feeling to go away after applying, and for the formula to dry on the skin.

Personally, I would not recommend, and will not be repurchasing. I have since switched to using Nivea Sensitive Protect Anti-Perspirant.

I started using this as a natural alternative product and it didnt disappoint. I've been through (still) menopause and for some time - had that unwelcome smelly period and this stuff kicked that to touch and boosted my confidence. SO please i found this.

Ok I purchased this deodorant way too much because it is often the only affordable choice at supermarkets but it is not effective at all. First of all the strong smell of tea tree is too medical and not pleasing. It stings badly when applied on newly shaved armpits. It doesn't protect from odor at all literally after an hour of applying I can smell myself. The only good thing is it does last long. The price is good too. Maybe good for wearing at home but hard pass when I am out.
