I used this pressed powder with a brush as there was no sponge included and it did work well although I think a sponge would be less work getting the powder on a brush as it is very well compressed. The coverage was light which is perfect for daywear and it blended into my skin easily and evened out my skintone. It felt really natural on my skin and looked natural too which makes powder foundation my absolute favourite for daywear. It did last all day without the need for reapplication and lasted the 14 hours that I was wearing it for. The colour I chose was perfect for my skin tone and because its compressed powder I feel it would last a long time.

Tips: Try using with both brush and sponge applicator to see which application method works best for you.
I liked the powder compact , mirror and sponge , in the easy to open container .The matte finish gave my skin a flawless look , and even after strenuous exercise there was no shine Easy to apply and lasted the day
Tips: Not a great deal is needed to give a flawless look .
I haven’t used many maybelline products in years and years! I was pleasantly surprised! Typically I use powder over top of my liquid foundation, but I actually found with this I was comfortable using it stand alone for everyday wear, coverage was still great and it lasted all day but it felt lighter having less product on my face!
I have also been a ‘powder girl’ – I just think it sets the foundation & makes your makeup last longer. I also hate shine & have been using the Maybelline Matte Maker powder for quite a while. The Maybelline SuperStay 16hr Powder is about $10 more expensive that the Matte Maker but still reasonably priced. It comes in compact form with a little sponge pad & mirror hidden underneath – neat addition that Matte Maker does not have. I thought I had totally picked the wrong colour as it looked pinkish in the package but it suited me fine. I applied using a powder brush but the sponge & mirror is useful for popping in your handbag so that you do not have to take a brush for refreshing if you don’t want to. The powder goes on very fine & certainly did not clog my pores or sit there like cement dust. I also believe it did help with the staying power of the foundation as it said it would. I did get some shine come through after a few hours, but again reapplying felt OK & not clogging. For me personally; I would use this powder in the day as it works well with the foundation, but I still like the Maybelline Matte Maker powder for its shine reducing properties.
Tips: Definitely worth a try
Similar to the matching foundation, it was an ok product but not one I’d run out to buy again. Clean and cute packaging, but the white can get messy in the make up bag.
I found it a little tricky to use cause it’s compact and you can hardly tell if it’s being applied - it’s not obvious coverage.
Soft skin, controls shine, but personally I needed to reapply to keep the right amount of coverage going through the day.
Tips: Pop it in your bag for top ups.
I really enjoyed this powder. I used it as a setting powder on top of my foundation and concealer, and found that it did a really good job of keeping everything in place and taking away excess shine, without looking too cakey. It was more of a medium coverage for me, though I did find that it built up a bit to a heavier coverage, so it's worth noting to go in light at first, and lightly build up to the level of powder coverage you want to avoid potential cake-face! I would definitely use this powder again, and recommend it to a friend.
Tips: Go in with a light hand on the powder brush - you can always build it up later!
Really like this powder, its another win from maybelline and quite affordable.
I do tend to use powders sparingly... I mostly use maybellines powders as so affordable but only certain areas of my face as I can get dry patches.
This was a good powder to use with great coverage and colour - again easy to pick your match.
Decent sized mirror and palette. I like the sponge but don't love it.
Great coverage for the price, it lasted longer than I expected and didn't dry my skin out. It was absorbent without clumping for me personally but I selected my coverage and I didn't use full coverage so avoided certain areas.
Good cheap buy from maybelline.
Absoutely love the packaging on this product, it includes a sponge and proper mirror in a tray under the powder layer. Keeping sponge well away from product, whilst protecting the mirror from breakage. Also means I don't have to carry a separate mirror.
The product itself has no scent and glides on smoothly. It can be used as a powder ontop of foundation or alone as a powder foundation.
However as a foundation alone is doesn't work well for me, I have lots of large pores and it doesnt seem to sit well and amplify them and shows up super fine lines. It also feels odd, a almost drying or tight feeling. The cover is probably best described as medium.
I prefer this as a powder over foundation applied with a powder brush. However sponge is great for on the go. Powder is great for oil control especially in T Zone area.
Tips: If using alone double check you have the correct shade as it is lighter than liquid foundation in the range.
I enjoyed this powder foundation much more than I did the liquid one. Still not full coverage but the application was nicer and lightweight on my skin. Would of been nice if there was a better applicator sponge or brush as the one provided wasn't very good, I ended up using another foundation brush to apply. I would keep using this foundation as I like the results but would of much preferred it to be true to the full coverage statement.
I had high hopes for this powder as Maybelline is one of my favourite drug store brands. I was disappointed with this unfortunately.
The sponge that comes with the compact is terrible and does not apply the powder very well. I do like that the compact has a mirror and clicks shut so it won’t open in your bag.
The powder itself is cakey, doesn’t blend well and you definitely need a brush to apply it.
After only an hour it started to separate on my skin and it looked really gross. My skin is quite oily but the powder showed me some dry patches I never knew I had! I also tried it with a primer and setting spray and it did the same thing and separated after about an hour.
I also tried it paired with the Maybelline 30hr foundation and it looked awful
