I now know that I love to eat caramel more than I love perfumes with caramel notes or any brand's interpretation of caramel notes.
My aunty brought this over from the States after I saw rave reviews on Youtube. The bottle looked cool and funky with an umbrella-like nozzle - yes that is the spritzer. On the vanity I really liked the nice contrast of pink and golden honey liquid but after awhile I was somewhat underwhelmed with the bottle.
To me it smelled like a creamy blend of sweet melted butter with a very soft hint of Prada Milano Infusion D'Homme (male cologne). I love butter but I don't want to smell like it.
The lasting power is quite impressive, about 6-7 hours however it dried down to a sweet soapy version of the cologne mentioned above without any detection of caramel.
I can't recall the purchase price for this but no doubt it would have been cheaper in the States than in our NZ stores. This perfume lasted me 2 months before I passed it on - I was stoked to be butter free.
I am notoriously picky with my scents so after smelling what seemed like the entire fragrance section of farmers I chanced upon this one. It was love at first sniff, so I added it to my wishlist. When it popped up on priceline for an absolute steal I had to snap it up.
The bottle is simple but gorgeous, although I had to google how to open the lid! Turns out I'm not the only one, there was even a YouTube clip on how to open it. At first sniff this is sweet but only mildly so, with a warm vanilla/caramel undertone. Musk is one of the topnotes but I am super sensitive to musk scents and I find it to be very subtle, and it doesn't intensify in muskiness as it dries down either. It is quite a powerful scent for me so I find that two spritzes is plenty, but unlike other intense scents this lasts about 6 hours on my skin before I need to reapply. I purchased this as a summer scent but for me its too warm for that so will be keeping for colder days and autumn/winter months. I love how this makes me feel feminine, yet womanly and sophisticated.
I would absolutely recommend to anyone who loves warm sweet, yet grownup scents.
