e.l.f Eyelid Primer Review

I had never bothered with eyelid primer before trying this but since trying it has become a staple item in my makeup routines. The e.l.f eyelid primer is the only one i've tried so I have nothing to compare it to but I think it is of great quality and does the job it's supposed to. As well as an eyelid primer I also use this product as an under-eye concealer it works wonders to brighten up any darkness under the eyes. The soft applicator wand tip makes application smooth, clean & quick and the formula feels weightless on the skin but provides excellent coverage. This formula is light, creamy and dewy upon application but dries matte. As for the purpose of this product any eye shadow i've used has clung to it beautifully.

I got this product from iherb for $3 which is a super bargain but i would happily pay $10 for it here in NZ it's absolutely worth it.

I tried using the e.l.f. Eyelid Primer after getting really tired of my eyeshadow constantly fading and creasing during the day. I was very skeptical of eyelid primers actually being effective, but thought I might as well give it a go on recommendation from a friend (and after all it was so cheap!).

Was SUPER impressed by this product. E.l.f. puts out a range of different eyelid primer shades, and I adore the Pearl shade, since it contains a subtle sparkle which is really pretty. The consistency is fine; not too filmy or tacky, applies easily and evenly, dries quickly. And, most importantly, it makes my eyeshadow last ALL DAY with absolutely no creasing or fading whatsoever! This is certainly a miracle product and I will be repurchasing again and again. Reaffirmed my impression of e.l.f. as a cheap, simple, yet punchy company that definitely gives you bang for your buck, haha! :)

This is the first eye primer i ever tried and it is so good! I got it for about $3 off iHerb.

Its got quiet a thin consistency and blends very well. It helps my eyeshadow stay on for much longer than usual and helps prevent creasing.

It doesnt really help too much with the pigmentation of my shadows. My eye makeup doesnt always last an entire day with this either.

Is it as good as my too faced or benefit eye primers? no... but it does an amazing job for a fraction of the price.

I would definitely recommend this for anyone on a budget or just starting out

I have been using this for a couple of months now and am really happy with how it works.

I do not have overly oily eyelids and don't really have any issues with my eyeshadows creasing. I apply a light layer of this to my eyelids before using powder eyeshadows, it blends out very easily and I feel it gives them more "grip" and makes them longer lasting.

I quite like the packaging of this product however I do often pick it up thinking its my concealer. I has a doe foot applicator which makes the product easy to apply.

This product also comes in a variety of sheer colours

If you ever get eczema avoid this like the plague. I wore this for one day and as a result had an eczema flare up on my eyelids which was incredibly painful. I felt like my eyelids had been papercut. Even if I didn't react to this I still wouldn't recommend it. It still creases and is the product is thin and watery. I prefer the jordana eye primer 100%

this stuff not is super cheap but looks very pretty makes your eye shadow last all day and I can wake up and still have on my eye shadow. It lasts forever on your face and through the bottle. I honestly have nothing negative to say about this! SHOCK HORROR

This primer is fantastic value for money. I purchased mine for (US )$3 on iherb and am nothing but impressed. Primers seem to last forever also and this one is no exception!

The packaging is very simple and contains a doe-foot applicator (which I prefer over a tube from which you have to use your finger) making application easy. A little of this goes a long way too, so your $3 is very well spent.

I find this helps my shadow stay vibrant throughout the day (not fade) and stay crease free and exactly where I placed it.

You just can't beat a primer this affordable that actually performs (I have other high end primers, but, this is honestly just as good as those). I will be repurchasing this when my tube finally runs out and would recommend to all.

This is the first eye primer I have ever used, and I have repurchased once already. I love that this comes in a slim case, and I keep it next my eyeshadow palettes so that I remember to use it before applying eyeshadow. This primer is very creamy, but has a thin consistency. It is easy to apply and you only need a small amount. I find the best way is to dot this on the eyes using the applicator, then use your finger to blend in. This eyelid primer helps your eyeshadow stay in place all day, and is especially good if you have oily skin as it helps the eyeshadow stay put. I recommend this to anyone who has not tried an eye primer before, or is looking for a cheaper alternative. This tube will last you a long time and after using this you will not go back to eyeshadow without primer!

I bought this item from the states so it only cost 1.00 or $3.00, I can't remember but I am super glad I didn't buy it for 10.00 as I would have been extremely disappointed.

I'm not a huge eyelid primer person as I don't get oily lids and products seem to go on my lids fine without it, maybe thats why I didn't think too much of this product..

I find this to be a very basic product. I notice no difference in my eyeshadow pigment when I am wearing it. I also don't notice any difference with it increasing the longevity of my eyeshadows.

I own the Urban Decay primer and that one is amazing and brings out the shadow pigments. The ELF primer personally does nothing for me.

Oh and it's also cheaply made my lid broke the first day I got it.
