I absolutely fell in love with this elf primer. Its felt so smooth and silky on my skin. Actually made my makeup sit nice and natural on my face, and being sensitive had no irritation or side effects.

I bought this quite recently as I have never used a primer and was pretty sceptical about even bothering as I wasn't even sure I understood the point. I felt like this was a good one to start with since it was very reasonably priced. When I tried using this it glided on so smoothly and I loved the way that it felt. Next I applied my foundation over top and I was amazed by the way that it smoothed effortlessly over my skin. There was no sliding into creases or wrinkles and I can confidently say that it looked better than my foundation on its own. I am officially a convert to using a primer! There are also other things that I love about this product. The bottle is simple yet quite beautiful. It also has a really easy to use and robust pump which helps only dispense a small amount, which is about all you need. I think overall it seems to help give me a nice glow and my skin looks amazing. I'm so glad I tried it. I would definitely recommend trying this if you haven't tried a primer or even if you have definitely give this one a go.
When I first tried this on my hand etc I was a bit concerned. It didn't seem to be what I expected (not sure what I expected haha) and I thought perhaps primer is a waste of time. I have used it quite a few times now and I really like it. It's a little smoother than my other primer, meaning it goes on a little more subtly. This is great for my day looks. I also really like that it doesn't have a strong fragrance as my face sometimes smells like a candy store with all the fragrances. Of course I love that it's not tested on animals and doesn't cause any issues for my skin.
This product is a budget-friendly primer that comes out clear and helps create a smooth canvas for foundation or BB cream. I first purchased this on IHerb, but then have since got it at Kmart when they started bringing it into New Zealand. It is also budget friendly as you don't need much, I start with one pump and then apply that and then doing another if required. The price is good, I enjoy the finish and how it applies. If I had to think of a similar product, I'd probably say it's along the lines of the Lancome Le Base primer (but for A LOT less in price).
One thing I didn't like about it was that I don't think it helped my wear time or balanced out oil production. The packaging is also quite bulky but easily solved by popping this in a travel tub if you're heading on holiday. For the price, I'm willing to forgive a packaging flaw.
Tips: When you think you've finished it, and it's not pumping as well, open the container up and there's a surprising amount in there.
If you’re after a primer that gives you a great canvas to work with then this is it. I use several primers as I find they all seem to sit differently on the skin. This is probably my favourite more affordable brand. I paid about $12 for this at Kmart and have not been disappointed. It’s comes in a lovely frosted heavy plastic pump that dispenses just the right amount of product. It glides on easily and preps the skin nicely. There is a Pore Filling one available but this tends to blur a little anyway. The only reason I’m not giving this 5 stars is because it doesn’t really extend the wear of my foundation by that much but I will definitely keep purchasing this product as for $12 it is great value for money.
I bought this as my first primer purchase, because I'm not entirely sure what the product was meant to do, and also not convinced I needed it.
It goes on lovely and smooth and your skin feels quite silky with it on. Makeup went on quite well over top too. Didn't feel any different than without primer, but assumed it would help the makeup hold a little longer. I can't say I noticed my skin looking any better, or lines looking less noticeable. It was just okay.
For the money spent it was hard to be disappointed but it didn't sell me on the whole primer idea.
I paid $8.99 for this product, my first whirl at primer. I could spare the $9for that and wasn’t expecting to be wowed. Admittedly my first use I used far too much and it was quite greasy and I wasn’t thrilled, next time I got a much smaller amount and applied, the more you work it in the better the finish I feel, my foundation looked great. I use a revlon liquid and the base this helps create is great.
Tips: Preserve and don’t use a lot
I was expecting great things from this primer but it really let me down. I have quite dry skin, and very crepey under my eyes, so I was hoping this primer would allow my concealer (I don't wear foundation) to glide on smoothly and help fill some of the lines so I'd get better coverage out of my concealer. Unfortunately it did none of those things. The silicone base was very off-putting too - it FELT smoothing, but didn't LOOK smoothing (if that makes any sense?). In any case, I moved onto another primer after only using it for a few days. I gave this one to my teenage daughter (combination skin, prone to break-outs) and she loves it! At least one of us is happy :-)
This just glides on after I moisturise and then I find it helps my foundation to go on my face more evenly. I got it online and I think it’s a must have for under $10! It does what it says it can do as it really does help to achieve a more flawless appearance in combination with your moisturiser and foundation.
Tips: You don’t need to use a lot of it - a little goes a long way.
Well unfortunately I didn't get the hype with this product much to my disappointment. I found my make-up would pill using this and just didn't sit right.
