Two words, uttered in excitement with eyes sparkling and heart pounding. Holy Grail. To be honest, I wasn't expecting this product to climb the ranks so fast, especially only after one use. However the more I continued to use it, the more I fell into the rabbit hole.
I have a deluxe sample size, so I can't comment on how the full sized packaging looks. The size I have though, it's small yes, but you only need a small amount, maybe pea sized, and as I've been mixing and experimenting with another CC cream, I've needed less. It has a lid that twists off and I would recommend that you do this carefully as the product tends to come out - it is excited to see you too!
I have the shade 'light'. I don't think it accurately matches my skin tone, but without forking out the $50 odd dollars for the full sized and lightest shade, I'll have to make do. The cream is surprisingly creamy, and to be honest when it's on my face it really does feel like its been whipped, it's so soft! It spreads really easily and blends nicely with a beauty sponge (I'm using a RT one).
It's not a full coverage product but sometimes I find it hard to believe it's not - it covers my face wonderfully and hides most of my redness and "flaws". Set with powder and then the setting mist, this lasts 6+ hours easily, with minimal fading, or accidental removal. Of course, if it's hot there is the chance for it to melt (I've noticed it mostly around my nose and chin) but that's easily fixed if you have your supplies with you.
It has a slight scent but it's nothing majorly off putting and it fades immediately when on the skin. I love this BB cream, and I've never loved a BB cream before. I would gladly repurchase this and all of its Holy Grail goodness.
I got a mini of this in the Tarte Skin Squad Deluxe Discovery in the shade medium. I'm seriously impressed with this. The primer is supposed to be tinted but the coverage I got was a good medium coverage. It went on really smoothly and blended out without any streaking and did a great job of covering my redness. I am a regular user of the Oasis BB cream in the medium shade. The Tarte BB tinted treatment is almost the exact same shade except maybe 2% more tan but since I'm a NC25 I am naturally tan. The coverage you get from this is a medium coverage but it's buildable and it looks really natural on your skin. It lasted for about 6 hours although it did separate around the sides of my nose after a few hours but I think that's regular occurrence I have everytime I wear a BB cream or a foundation. I am considering getting a full size when this runs out if I can get it on sale as it's a bit pricey for a BB cream or primer. I highly recommend this BB cream primer if it matches your skintone.
Tips: Great for traveling as it functions as both a BB cream and a primer you can bring it as your BB cream and skip bringing a primer. Tarte does have sales, discounts and free shipping so I would look out for those if you have your eye on this product as 57NZD for 30mls is a bit pricey.
