I have to say that this product works a little too well, thus I took one lippie off for the slightly drying effect this imparts. That said, this rather at-first oily consistency product dries to a clear and light finish on my oily-normal skin. Sometimes my t-zone even feels a bit dry, which is good, but I still want this balance out the oiliness and have a more dewy finish. However, this definitely keeps the oil at bay all day long and works well with the NYX Dewy Finish spray or my MAC Fix Plus. A very effective oil controller, but definitely not for skin that is even slightly dry, this will pretty much flake and dry your skin out. Overall, though a good product for what it is.

I found this upon a lunch time dash to Farmers to buy something else - I have since been returning to purchase this product each time the tube runs out. I have combo (more oily) skin so this works well for me. I wear this on the daily along with Garnier BB Cream and NYX HD setting powder. This combo seems to work really well for me, resulting in no shine through out the entire (8-5 working day). It is very good value for money in comparison to other products which are smaller and more expensive. This product is easy to use and does what is says in regards to shine - what's not to love about it!?
NYX Shine Killer Primer Review!
Picked this up earlier this year in the Beauty Review vault. My second brand of primer. Sleek black packaging with white writing. No scent. Looks like a gel. When applied to the face it has a powder finish. I find after using this my face is very smooth and matte (I have oily skin type) Foundation applies and appears seamless. Really like the results I get from using this. Would strongly considering repurchasing.
I actually really loved this product. I use it still, really does eliminate nasty shine coming through makeup. Exactly what I needed
Nice clear silky texture, has a strange smell I can’t recognise it to anything but I kinda liked it lol!
Cheap lasts ages and easy to find in store, what more could you want ?
I wasn't expecting a lot from this product, but it has pleasantly surprised me. It is a clear silicone primer that once applied leaves a smooth matte feeling to my face. I wear it under a BB cream and powder and it keeps my face looking matte for hours, but unfortunately not all day. The product is quite small so it doesn't last long, and is quite expensive.
Tips: Make sure your face is completely dry before applying. Also let the primer to set before adding anything else on your face.
This non-greasy, liquid gel primer helps to reduce oil and shine while smoothing the skin's texture, minimising pores and blurring fine lines, to provide the perfect canvas for foundation.
The transparent, odourless gel comes in a 20ml matte black squeeze tube with a screw top cap. Once applied to the skin, the gel is easily absorbed leaving a velvety smooth, silky feel on the skin with a matte appearance.
Like other face primers, foundation glides on smoothly, evenly and blends really easily over the top of this and I found that I used a little less foundation while still getting the same (or even better) coverage. After applying my foundation, I like to set it with a light dusting of powder as this also helps to keep my make-up and oily skin looking shine-free for even longer.
I found that using NYX Shine Killer definitely did keep my make-up looking matte and shine-free for a few hours longer than normal when compared with other silicone based primers.
Tips: If you do have oily skin, please bear in mind that most matte products will only keep your skin looking matte or shine-free for a maximum of 4 to 6 hours. This will vary from person to person, depending on how oily your skin is. Unfortunately, there are no miraculous "all-day-long" oil absorbing or mattifying products out there and your skin will eventually produce more oil than the product is able to absorb.
