I got this free because I bought a foundation and something else that was Revlon so I thought i'd try it. I find that it makes my foundation (also Revlon) go on patchy and the only real benefit I see from the primer is that it makes my concealer work better (which is a MAC one). I haven't noticed it making my foundation last any longer so far. I've never used primer before, but after using this one I don't really see the fuss about primers? I guess I'll need to try some more to really tell what's so great about them.

I tried this product at the beginning of 2013 in the hope that it would reduce the appearance of pores, even out my skin tone and help my make up to last throughout the day. I noticed virtually no difference in my skin when using this primer, both before and after applying makeup. In terms of its claim of 'reducing the appearance of pores' I noticed no difference, with or without primer. My pores are not overly large, but are reasonably noticeable either side of my nose when I have applied foundation. I have found the Lioele secret pore smoothing primer to be a much better alternative, with a better price tag than Revlon.
My skin was no smoother after applying the Revlon Photoready primer, and my redness and uneven skin tone was just as visable. It did however, make some difference to the way my makeup lasted throughout the day. It certainly kept it in place more so than if I had gone without, but no more than any other primer I have tried.
The Revlon Photoready primer has given me no reason to continue using it. With so many primers in store and online, I would not recommending spending $38 on this one. The Balm Time Balm is a great all rounder and the Lioele primer already mentioned is great for reducing the appearance of pores. I was once a big Revlon fan but once again their products are not standing out against others than are more affordable.
Revlon had a gift with purchase going. I had Farmers vouchers. And I needed concealer. A perfect storm. I HAD to buy something else and as I was having a meh to the beauty counter lady about my skin she recommended I try this product. And being the easily convinced person I am I did. Firstly I love how it makes my skin feel. A pump and a half spread over my face and it just feels smoother and softer - and it looks nicer somehow. If I didn't have uneven skin/pimples/acne I'd just pop this on and face the world. Add my liquid foundation (Lancome Teint Idole - not that it probably makes a difference, but maybe it does) and my skin looks fabulous! I don't often have to get all gussied up anymore but I saw pictures today of me at a wedding where I'd used Revlon's Photoready Perfecting Primer with my usual foundation and my skin looked sensational - if I do say so myself ;) For me this is a makeup bag must!
The Revlon Photoready Primer is one of the first few primers I'd tried and used it for about 6 months. I'd first seen it in my local chemist, and thought I'd give it a whirl. At the time I think it was $36.99. I have combination skin as well. It is easy and pretty fool-proof to apply and you don't need a lot of product, I used one pump each time. After applying the primer, my face looks quite pale due to the light pink tint, but once you apply your foundation you wouldn't even know. I don't feel that with applying this primer my foundation lasted longer, or set better on my face. I have tried other well known brands of primers since and have found a few I really love, it's all about trial and error (eg. incredibly smooth, foundation more flawless and lasts longer). I think this primer is a bit on the pricey side too.
I began using this start of 2013, it was the first primer I had ever tried and didn't really know what to look for in a primer. I though it was okay, it didn't really do too much but it made my makeup last a little longer than usual so I was happy (that was in conjunction with the photoready foundation). I used this with numerous Bourjois foundations, Rimmel and Covergirl. I was never satisfied with the end result. Until now. I started using Revlon Colorstay at the start of this year and when I use both products together my skin is a dream, it stays matte - but not cakey looking, I stay shine free for 4 hours and can go most of the day without touching up. I am in love with this combination and I'm almost out of this primer. I have the Monistat chafing gel to try out but if that doesn't work I will definitely repurchase this.
I use this everyday under the Revlon photoready foundation. It is a nice smooth texture and I find that it helps my foundation glide over dry patches and not go cakey on my face. However when I used this with another brand foundation it did not do what it is supposed to.
Tips: Use with the rest of the Revlon photoready line.
I recently brought this primer as there was a gift with purchase at my local pharmacy (couldn't help myself)!. My skin was feeling really dry and my foundation wasn't lasting, so I thought using primer might be the answer.
After using this for a week I'm really happy, the primer really has improved the dryness on my face and my foundation looks flawless now and doesn't cling to dry patches like it used to. A really nice primer that also makes my makeup last more during the day.
I really used to like this primer, but recently, halfway through the bottle, it's started not working as well as it used to. I put it on lightly, blend it in, put Revlon foundation or BB cream on, then the primer starts showing white around my nose and eyebrows and lips. I try to blend that in and it just almost separates about an hour later anyway. It did work really well and smoothed my skin and m foundation sat on it really well in the first days I had it, but now I've had to move on. Also, it does not work with any other brands at all. Works best with Revlon products.
Wow, I read reviews in primers last week and purchased this product. It goes on easily and you only need to use a little. My Photoready foundation lasted all day and looks perfect still.I would definitely purchase this again and recommend it to others.
I decided to purchase this product due to never trying a face primer before and decided Revlon would be a good one to start with due to it being a decent quantity and was cheaper than any other brand. I have found this primer to be really lightweight and it also does an amazing job at smoothing and softening my skin. This primer is quite lightweight and applies very smoothly. I have found that using this primer as a base any foundation I use on the top applies more easier and gives me a flawless finish. I have found that this primer also helps my makeup to last longer definitely gives me a photoready face. I would definitely repurchase this.
