I love this hair product teamed with the Conditioner and it lasts for so long and does such amazing things to my hair. It feels soft, not oily and has a really nice fresh smell.
Tips: Use only a small 20c piece of Shampoo and a 50c piece for Conditioner as this lathers and covers really well, plus was a tip from my hairdresser when I bought this brand of shampoo and conditioner.
I worked in a salon as a desk girl for my uni holidays and was overwhelmed by the shampoo/conditioner choices! I had never tried Pureology so decided to give the Hydrate range a try. I LOVE this range, not only does it actually hydrate your hair, it leaves it feeling silky and smooth. My hair usually becomes oily after a day or two post washing but felt with this range I could get away with a few more days.
Tips: The packaging may be a bit difficult to read at first it says shampooing shampoo and then shampooing conditioner...confused me at first. I would really recommend this brand
This is my current go to shampoo and conditioner. I love the peppermint in the conditioner and the cooling sensation you get. It's perfect for the summer weather and for waking you up in the morning. I find this shampoo and conditioner are doing wonders for my hair. My hair drys smoother and nicer because it's hydrated and isn't being weighed down. It also doesn't fade my colour which is a problem I was previously having
Tips: Use a very small amount of each as they are super concentrated.
First of all the smell of the peppermint conditioner in the morning is amazing and also gives your head a wee bit of a wake up tingle. This fantastic products have helped my red in my hair stay vibrant as if it was done yesterday. I love the way it helps hold the colour in. This set really puts back the moisture in your hair if you regulary dye your hair. The shampoo doesn't strip your hair making it feel like straw.
Tips: Don't get the conditioner in your eyes, it really hurts as it is peppermint.
This shampoo and conditioner is amazing! I have highlighted blonde hair and it is perfect for my hair, keeps it so hydrated and keeps the colour so bright and keeps it from going yellow. While it is on the expensive side for a shampoo and condition it is totally worth it as they last a long time. It leaves my hair feeling silky and smooth as well as nice and light, and definitely less frizzy which is always a bonus!
Tips: you really don't need to use that much, the shampoo lathers up a lot and the condition is very dense so keep away from using too much as it will leave your hair looking greasy once dry.
I was introduced to this by my hairdresser. She gave me some samples first as my scalp can be sensitive.
I loved it! So have brought many many bottles of both of these now. I love the packaging. It's super easy to see which is which when you have water in your eyes. I love how the lids are flat so when the product starts getting low, you keep it on the lids so you use every little bit inside.
I was spending alot of money on getting my hair coloured and wanted to protect it. Alot if cheaper shampoos and conditioners strip out the colour. When I went fully blonde this range is still amazing.
It leaves your hair feeling beautiful and soft. Doesn't go frizzy and yet still stays bouncy. Nothing worse that flat greasy looking hair. Trying to think how to describe how it feels on your scalp, a wee dance party. It's like champagne bubbles on your scalp. In a good way not a sore itchy irrated way.
Yes it is pricy, but lasts for so long. You only need small amounts even with long hair.
I was really excited to try this product as everyone and their mum seems to really like it. First off the smell.. Yuk! I couldn't stand it it's a familiar smell that I couldn't put my finger on. The packaging is probably the best thing about this product because the top is flat I can stand it upside down to get all the product in saying that I gave it to my mum when I was about halfway through. I don't have super damaged hair but I do heat style and dye it every 6-8 weeks and I'm terrible at getting hair cuts. From what it says on the bottle you only need a small amount but I had to put one wash through which didn't lather then go in again with the same amount (2 50cent pieces) to get a lather that is enough to clean my whole head of hair. It leaves my hair feeling stripped and the conditioner isn't hydrating at all. After washing my hair was shiny but quite dry and I had to wash every second day where as I normally would wash every 4 days.
I was recommended this Shampoo and Conditioner a few years ago by a hairdresser. I was initially reluctant to try it due to its high price. These products are 100 % vegan.
Both the shampoo and conditioner come in a purple bottle with a dark purple flip lid. The design is such that it allows you to stand the bottles on their lids, prefect when running low.
The shampoo I would describe as a rich texture. It gives a good lather which surprised me initially because it doesn’t have any Sodium lauryl sulfate in it. (sudsing agent). It smells a bit usual for a shampoo I guess, a bit like licorice. I personally didn’t mind it but I can see it would not be for everyone. The formula is highly concentrated and a little goes a long way for both the shampoo and the conditioner. I applied this to my roots and to the top of my crown.
The results from the shampoo. I found this very moisturising on my hair, my hair felt soft, shiny and smooth with no fizz. I also found it left behind no residue. In terms of colour vibrancy it did an average job similar to other products I have used before.
The conditioner also has a rich texture similar I guess to a hair mask. It smells like peppermint. I used the conditioner from mid length- to the ends of my hair and left it on a few minutes before rinsing out.
The results from the condition. I found my hair very soft and relatively knot free. It works well in combination with the shampoo.
Overall a lovely set but pricey.
Bottles show sleek design. Packaging is good in the fact you can turn the bottle upside down to get the last drops out of it. I have heard some comments online about the smell of the shampoo putting people off but I personally like the patchouli scent. The conditioner smells like peppermint which I love also. I have thick dry hair but find I only need a very small amount of both products otherwise it will weigh your hair down as it is very hydrating. Leaves my hair feeling very smooth. I'm not vegan, but I try to use natural products not tested on animals so I find pureology products great in this respect. I will continue to use this product line as it is the best for my hair at present.
