After finishing my bottles of Pureology Strength Cure Shampoo and Conditioner and finding my previously straw like damaged strands nearly completely repaired, I was recommended this product by my hairdresser to help with the my hair's lingering dry curse.
All I can say is wow! After using this shampoo and conditioner once a week for the entirety of winter, my hair is now in the best condition it has ever been. It is actually soft and manageable! The shampoo and conditioner whilst very concentrated, when used sparingly, keeps my otherwise thick hair feeling light!
The only downfall I have found with this product is that my hair did result in a lot of build up when used for longer than 3 months at a time. I have found however that alternating between this product and the Smooth Perfection range to minimise the build up and leave my hair both incredibly smooth and nourished.
This shampoo and conditioner is now my number one holy grail hair item.
Pureology Hydrate shampoo and conditioner was recommended to me by a friend five years ago, and honestly I have never looked back.
I have long, fine hair that breaks easily. I find that by using this shampoo and conditioner regularly I can go much longer between haircuts as I'm not getting those fuzzy dry split ends. So even though the product is $35 a bottle, it is saving me money on haircuts.
As noted in other reviews the shampoo smells of liquorice and the conditioner of peppermint. I don't mind either and do particularly love the fresh peppermint smell - but even if you weren't a fan don't worry, your hair doesn't keep those smells! It just smells nice and fresh.
The shampoo has a great lather and the conditioner is thick and luxurious - you only need a small amount (20 cent piece size for my hair).
I do use semi-permanent hair colour upon occasion and it definitely makes the colour last longer.
100% vegan ingredients, and the bottle is made with 50% recycled materials. Vegan means no testing on animals either.
I cannot recommend this product enough! I love it so much that it was my one treat to myself when I had my baby and finances were tight. I love it enough that my husband is forbidden from using it because it is mine mine mine!
Tips: If you have fine hair like mine, stick to the purple Hydrate shampoo / conditioner - I found the other coloured bottles just weren't as magical for my hair!
