This tool is amazing. I find that it is easier to use on backs as the skin is a lot firmer there. On the face I found it harder as the skin is a lot softer and can sometimes leave marks. I found the pointy end bends very easy and is not that useful. I recommend this for a friend who had a black head in there ear. This was the only thing that worked for that tricky to reach area.

Tips: Make sure you keep it clean and away from the kiddies. Has quite a sharp point on one emd.
if you know how to use it properly it'l fix all your blackhead and whitehead problem! use on softened skin use steam or after shower and remember to leave the area or put a soothing gell only after extractions, it's what us beauty therapists use:) just glide it on the skin flat with a gentle pressure dont force or you'll scar the skin
I would say that this isn't good for blackheads as it doesn't work, at least not for my black heads which are really deep in the pore. It does however work really well on white heads, or pimples that are on the surface.
I used this on my blackheads and found that I had to apply great force to extract them out, even though I had steamed my skin so my pores had opened up. It does leave red steel marks on your skin when you do use it really hard which is not great if you need to use it on the go, but it does fade within 30 or so minutes. It did however effortlessly remove white heads.
It's really nice and sturdy made with steel and won't bend with the pressure I put on it, however the loop end is very flimsy and bends extremely easily. With a couple hard bends it will snap off.
It has a needle end which you can use to puncture skin, and take out white heads from under, and use the loop to scrape off.
I think it's kind of gross actually, and I'm not sure how clean it is, when you scrape off white heads, as you are spreading the bacteria to other parts of the skin during the scraping process, so definitely wash your face straight away.
Overall a really good white head remover, but works on black heads 50% of the time.
First let me tell you that this is not for people with low tolerance for pain. Before I moved to NZ, my dermatologist would schedule me for a deep cleansing facial every 3 weeks (thats how bad my pore problem is) she would cleanse my face and use a comedone extractor to take away the nasties in my nose and cheeks, that's when I first learned to appreciate this tool, pain and all. When I moved to NZ, I had no dermatologist but no shortage of blackheads so I decided to DYI and bought this from the chemist. I would recommend that you sanitize this before using and make sure that your skin is clean and soft before extracting. Do not press too hard or you might risk damaging your skin. Then applying a sanitizing agent on your face after extraction, I use a toner with green tea which has a natural sanitizing effect. Although the blackheads are removed, it does come back without proper skin care so maintenance is the key.
This tool is extreamy painful! I find it really hard to use to get out by blackhead and it brings tears to my eyes when useing it, that's how much force you have to apply for it to work. You are also left with a red circle on your face where you have used it, and it takes quite a while for it to fade. It works really well for normal white heads and it works perfect to get ingrown hairs out of my fiances legs from his builders belt rubbing every day.
I have gone through a couple of these as other people in my household have discovered how great these are and 'permanently borrow' them.
I use it more as a whitehead extractor than the blackhead one and I don't get the broken capillaries I would if hand squeezing.
I always sanitize mine before and after using as this prevents the spreading of bacteria and have found that and proper skincare effective.
I also drag the loop down the sides of my nose to get rid of blockages before they turn into whiteheads.
While I don't use mine everyday. For that odd pimple (especially in an awkward place) this is great.
If you like watching gunk come out of your pores, this tool is for you.
It takes a little getting used to, but once you've mastered the pressure and angle needed to extract whiteheads and blackheads, its quite easy to get them out.
For my skin, I find i need to press down flat around the blackhead before angling it to an almost 45 degree angle while slowly moving it down towards the edge of the blackhead. All of a sudden the gunk pops out. It doesn't always happen that way, some blackheads are more stubborn than others, but then it's just a case of trying from a different side.
Tips: Wash with warm soapy water after use and spray or wipe with a disinfectant. Store it in a clean, dry place.
Using the Blackhead Remover has noticeably improved the clarity and smoothness of my skin, as it efficiently removes impurities without causing irritation or damage. Its effectiveness in targeting stubborn blackheads makes it a staple in my skincare toolkit, providing satisfying results with minimal effort.
I have a few of these in my house. They are great and easy to use! Rather entertaining too.. for the people that way inclined. They are perfect as they don't break or scar the skin, just remove the targeted blackhead.
This definatly does what it says it will and if used correctly i think most people will be pleased with the results. I however became a little addicted to extracting black heads and probably used it way too much. In the beginning I was also pressing a little hard and ended up with a few small bruises. what i like about this, is that as long as you keep it clean it is way more sanitary than squeezing with ya fingers. I would buy it to use again however i would ba a lot more cautious and make sure i am not excessivly attacking blackheads.
Tips: make sure to clean after each use as it will be full of little puss monsters and ya don't want them on ya face again
