Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner Review

This little bottle of jet black potion really does last all day. It takes only a few seconds to dry, and then you have a matte liner for easily 12+ hours.

Most liquid liners produce a similar looking formula, so it really is down to the applicator. I am always super nervous when applying eye liner, so my hands will shake as I pretty much press my face up against the mirror to see precisely what I am doing.

The first time I used this liner I failed horribly. I kept making tiny mistakes which meant I kept adding and adding to the line on my upper lid, leaving a thick black almost goth-looking eye look. AND I was running late for work so didn't have time to fix it!

But now that I have been using it for a couple of weeks I am getting better at applying a dainty upper lash line, and have even been brave enough to do a bold winged eye liner look. The brush applicator really is very thin and has just enough flexibility to be pushed down into your lash line.

In the past I have preferred felt tip pen eye liners, but this was a really good starting point for getting better at using brush applicators.

This liquid liner lasts fairly well and isnt all smudgey the tip of the brush is nice and fine yet solid great to make line drawing simple. You can draw a little flick or wing if you like and it is not too wet and didnt take ages to dry it is not all shiny or wet looking on the lid too. The price is okay not fantastic but it is a good product. Would re buy on special.

This was my first liquid eyeliner after using pencils. I love this, I have Mahogany Flame, a lovely warm slightly sparkly brown. I like that you can identify the colour by the brush handle. The brush on the end is like a thin paintbrush, not a felt tipped pen. The lines that can be drawn can be really thin, and if any mistakes are made, a cotton bud will remove them. I cannot wait to try the green one. I really do recommend this, as the ease of use is fab, and colour pigmentation is good too. Can be rinsed off with micellar water, no need for a harsh makeup remover.

This is the best liquid eyeliner I have used. I find it easy to apply and the brush isn't too thick. It doesn't flake off and stays on all day.

I have always wanted to try a liquid eyeliner as my pencil eyeliners smudge and end up under my eyes. I have to say this looked good. It was a nice rich dark colour. Need a bit of practice with keeping a straight hand as any little wiggle is very noticeable. However after applying, less than 20 seconds later my eyelids started to tingle and then started to sting. I kept it on for a minute thinking the sting will go away when it dried but it didnt. I ended wiping it off (came off really easily with cotton bud and water). Wont be using again.

I'm really terrible at putting on eyeliner, but this liquid eyeliner makes it so much easier. The brush is a great size for making cat eyes, and it's quite firm so it's easy to draw a straight line (well, easy with a bit of practise of course!)

It lasts all day as long as you don't rub it. It's not waterproof so it will smudge if you rub your eyes or cry.

The only negative thing I'll say, which is also a bit strange, is that the last time I bought one it started drying out after only a couple of weeks, while the first one I bought lasted for months. I'm starting to wonder if the latest one I bought was perhaps counterfeit. I bought it of Trade Me.

This was one of the first liquid liners I used and found it really easy to create strong, bold, thick lines with. I wouldn't recommend it for precision however as there are now thinner liquid liners on the market. I would like to compare this liner with its "thinner" counterpart but haven't yet tried it.

I find Revlon's products generally wear well and this eye liner definitely has some strong staying power once applied and set. I would only use it again to fill in eye liner or when really heavy eye liner is being used.

I love this liquid eyeliner and have been using it for years. I find it very easy to apply because the brush has a nicely pointed tip and glides smoothly across my lash line without leaving any lumps or bumps.

The color is a nice shade of semi-matte black and stays on all day without any hassles but is easy to remove with water and makeup remover or a facial cleanser.

This eyeliner comes in a small, slim bottle and removes excess product from the brush each time you take it out. I found that I didn't need to add extra product after my first application to achieve a nice bold color and it dried pretty quick so I didn't need to worry about it smudging.

Affordable, effective and one of my go to liquid eyeliners. Love it :)

For MONTHS I had been trying to join the winged eyeliner trend. I love classic looks, and desperately wanted to master the winged look, but to no avail. I decided to try this product as a last attempt, and at a reasonable price I figured it was no loss if it didn't do the trick. I found that it went on smoothly, not too thick, and the brush was easy to use. I wear it day and night, and although it does stay glossy and doesnt fade or melt at all, it can sometimes flake if I'm not careful. All in all though, a great product, and a great solution to my winged eyeliner woes!

This is such a good eyeliner. It is very easy to use, the product goes on really nicely. It is incredible how well it stays on!!! I am very impressed. I can use this everyday because the applicator can give a very fine line. I also use this when I'm going out. The colour is very opaque too. Love it!!
