Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour Eyeshadow Review

I first borrowed this from a friend but I loved the colour combination and brought it myself. I love the natural colours, and it stays on for hours without fade. Love it! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. Worth the price.

I have two ColorStay palettes - in 'Coffee Bean' and 'Plum to Perfection'. I quite like the former and I've been using it for my low key everyday makeup look. I can also build up the shades for a more dramatic look when I want to do so. However with the plum palette I found that the pigmentation was really lacklustre and I've barely used it.

These eye shadows do last all day and they don't gather in the eyelid crease, which is the mark of a good shadow for me. However, for the rather hefty price I think there are more affordable alternatives that would do a similar job.

I was given these in a gift set and I really like the combination of the brown shades. I don't usually use the peach shade at all as it doesn't go well with my skin tone. The shadow is pretty good. It doesn't wear off too quickly and works well with my eye liners. I don't LOVE the colours, I feel maybe they are a bit too light for me but it's good for a casual summery look.

I recieved this eye shadow in a gift set (these exact colours) though i'm not really a eyeshadow wearer so they stayed unopened for awhile. However when finially i decided to use it, i was amazed. I love the natural colours, you can have looks that, seem as though your wearing none - very minimal or add a slightly darker shade to make it more noticeable. Lasts the night and doesnt clash with anything your wearing. Thumbs up revlon, love it!

I really like this eyeshadow! I got it as a gift but would pay for it. Its really good for a more natural look on the eyes. It lasts very long even more than 16 hours! would definitely recommend

When I first got into make up this was my go to eye shadow. It has all of the instructions on the back on how to use it,which is great as it shows u were to put what colours. I would really recommend this and the colours can be great for daytime or night time wear. The colours are very easy to blend also :)

I got this from a gift with purchase. I found it not as successful as other Revlon eyeshadows I have used which was a bit disappointing and found that the colours were quite powdery and lacked pigmentation particularly the dark brown (this was the quad above) Having said that I have found with these quads that some colours last/apply better than others so it is a shame about the lack of consistency.

So I got this (a while ago) and although I do not wear eye shadow everyday (it is left for nights out....... whenever they are) but I used it last weekend which reminded how much I enjoy wearing eye shadow.

I enjoy the four colours (mine is as pictured on here with more earthy colours - these are always my colours of choice as they bring out the green in my eyes.... or the blue... whatever they bring out my eyes) and I LOVE that it is all on one easy to use pallet - this is my going out make up, less to carry if I am getting ready at a friends. I always fade darker on the outside of the eyes and lighter towards the nose. Like most people I use my own eye shadow brush because the one it came with is .... ummm terrible (yup I am going to use terrible) - it is just one of those foam eye shadow things that is hard to blend and never puts enough colour on. Just another reason why my brushes keep on paying for themselves lol (justification people)

It doesn't wear as well as my new fav which I will hopefully get to review at some point. But it is a good one for going out with. However you would need to touch it up if going out after work and wearing all day.

I have a couple of these (mostly from gift with purchases!), and they have some really nice colours. The formula is generally reasonably soft and smooth, although sometimes I find their darker colours can be slightly clumpy. Despite this, sometimes the pigmentation on these isn't too great, and I find that they aren't super buildable. Ok if you are just wanting a nice wash of colour, though!

I received this Revlon quad as a gift from my Mum - it was part of an eyeshadow and mascara gift pack. I always buy Revlon makeup as I find it a really reliable brand and have another Revlon quad that is fantastic so was really optimistic about this one. I love the colour combinations - all work really well and compliment/off-set one another. They work really well for day and night wear and I love being able to combine a couple or all of them. One thing I was a bit disappointed with was the pigmentation and 'pop' of the colors - I find they can be a bit powdery and light and you have to really build up the colour for a dramatic look. I definitely wouldn't agree that they are 16hour shadows, but they do seem to last well for 4-6 hours. I also haven't had any real problems with creasing and they are super easy to blend - I guess that comes down to them being quite light. I probably wouldn't go out and purchase this quad for myself, but I am happy enough with the product that I use it regularly.
