I am definitely a fan of lip tints and stains. Sadly I have been through so many that have eventually been retired so when I see things like this pop up I usually jump on them.
This took quite a few twists of the top section to get colour to the top but it’s worth it so keep on clicking until you see some colour in the cushion.
I do like the style of applicator. It is as they say a soft cushion and I also like the twist applicator - it ensures not too much comes out at once and no dipping and diving. It’s seemingly lasting me a long time so no wastage.. I feel because it’s quite light and the applicator spreads it quite well that this is why. It also wears well.
It’s quite a natural look on application. Which is another thing I love about this. It’s not waxy or sticky.. so is very much like a stain but not as dry or cooling as the lip stains I’ve used in the past. It’s also not as matte finish. It’s a hard one to describe but it’s light like a stain but with slight moisturising properties of a balm. So I am definitely a fan of the texture it’s not too dry and not too sticky.
It’s a long lasting formula too.. it lasts longer than consuming a meal and I noticed it wears off pretty evenly so no ombré looking lips and no reapplying every hour.
One thing that does bug me is if I have slippery hands it can be hard to twist the applicator. Apart from that I would repurchase - would love a few more colour choices.
I received this in the BBBE buy 1 get one free promotion so actually got 2 different colours, 210 and 220. At first I wasn't sure how to use it but luckily others who have reviewed the lip tint explained how to get the colour to the tip by turning the top. The 210 colour I thought might be a bit too orange for me but it is in fact a good natural colour. The 220 is more pink but not too much, I thought it would be a darker pink than it actually is. I like both these colours. I haven't been wearing lip sticks for a while due to sensitivity issues, however I have had no sensitivity problems with this cushion lip tint.
Tips: Definitely colour test first as the colours are a bit different when applied.
