I got this in the shade Elusive as part of my Xmas present thos year and I'm absolutely obsessed with it! Id been lusting over these in Farmers for ages now and I'm just so in love. The color is soft yet vibrant, the matte finish looks classy and satin without appearing dry or too dull, and most of all it feels so smooth and soft to wear. I love the concept of crayons, they're so easy to use and are super comfy to hold. The staying power is great although I have tried my best to avoid eating and drinking when wearing this. Overall an awesome matte lippy

I absolutely adore these matte balms! I have about 5 different colours and the colour pay off is beautiful! They moisturise your lips without drying (Like most Matte Balms do) and glide on really easily and nicely. The only one bad thing I would have to say is that they don't last as long as a regular lipstick on my lips so you do need to reapply every so often :)
I also love how cute he packaging is (The Crayon look) but it's not too big and still fits happily into my makeup bag!
Will definitely be repurchasing!
I am in love with this product! I was initially looking for an everyday lipstick to wear and when I came across these I was amazed. The first colour i bought was Elusive and it is just the perfect everyday pink that I wear almost everyday. What I love about these is that they have a matte finish but they dont dry your lips out, they are actually quite moisturising. They also leave a minty sensation on your lips which I love. I now also have the colour Sultry which is a darker mauvy pink which everyone seems to be loving. This colour is perfect for the cold season. Over all I will definitely be buying more colours.
A friend recommended me these, as well as the balm stains which I've yet to try. I picked up Striking, Standout and Unapologetic, and I'm crazy about all three. They are very pigmented (Standout and Unapologetic more than Striking) and ridiculously easy to apply because of the crayon format. This is excellent for me because I'm not super skilled with lipstick. They smell nice and they're balmy on the lips. They dry to a really matte finish which is a little different between them - Unapologetic probably comes up the creamiest, whereas Striking can be a bit streaky and flaky after a while. They wear for ages. I was thrilled with my MAC lipsticks but these wear better. Through snacks, drinks and even meals, I've found little need to reapply. They set and they stay. I'm mad about them and I will probably buy the rest of the set, as all of the colours look fantastic.
In love with these, I have a the colour sultry, which is the perfect nude for my skin tone and the color shameless which is a deeper purple colour. They do have a matte finish but it is not super drying, they also have a minty scent so it might not be for you if you're not into scented lippies. These pencil shaped lippies are so easy to use and I love that they don't need to be sharpened :)
I own 4 of these so far, and will probably get more in the future. The pencil shape makes them super easy to apply and the colours are very pigmented.
I've found the lasting power of these is really good, only fading slightly in the middle if ive been eating or drinking, and I have woken up in the morning with the colour still there if I have applied them at night.
These balms dont dry super matte, which I like because they actually feel like you're wearing lip balm and they dont dry out your lips like other mattes can. The only downside to this would be that they can transfer onto things but not too much.
The packaging of Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms are very similar to that of Revlon Colorburst Balm Stains. They are in a twist up tube format that look like chubby crayons which we all love as they are so easy to carry around, to use and they don't need sharpening. Like Revlon Balm Stains, this Revlon Matte Balm has minty scent and taste which I find soothing on lips. I have the shade Standout which is like a mixture of red and pink color. It isn't bright red, but a lighter shade of red with pink color added to it. I love how this balm easily glides on lips without tugging or dragging. It is smoother to apply as compared to many other matte lipsticks I have tried in the past. It is super pigmented and one swipe is enough. The color you see on the stick is what you will get on the lips which is super nice. As far as longevity is concerned, it lasts 4 hours on lips. But at least it fades evenly on lips and I find reapplying very easy because of the balm's texture. All in all, its a matte balm with lovely shades to choose from, wonderful texture and great quality. This is nice to try!
First up let me tell you how hard it was to pick a shade to buy while I was in the store. All the shades looked amazing, though some would not suit me and some were out of stock I still had a tough time picking one to buy & try in the end I went with 'Showy'
Showy is a gorgeous hot pink but still very wearable. The product applies nice and creamy and the colour is very pigmented. I also love the minty smell and tinglyness.
I have quite dry lips so I did find the balm to dry out my lips and start to feel weird & I found with eating and drinking it came off quite easily.
The packaging is the same as the rest of Revlon's Colourburst range a twist up crayon which is the best as no one likes to sharpen lip products to get that nice point for application.
Overall as I haven't tried many other lip products I am keen to buy a few other colours as I have heard that some colours differ in consistency/colour pay off etc.
These are amazing and long lasting, the colour selection always leaves me in a panic because I cant buy all the ones I want at once and have to choose which ones to add to my collection. I cant get enough, so easy and creamy to use and perfect for in your hand bag.
Is there anything cuter than a crayon lipstick? It could teeter on the edge of cutesy, but Revlon have created a crayon that manages to be adorable, whilst still being sophisticated. Yes, I do like the packaging.
I own one of these in the shade 'Sultry', and the colour is stunning on my skin tone. Every time I wear it I receive a compliment, and who doesn't like that?
But do I like the product, apart from the packaging, and the colour? Yes, mostly. The balm goes on so smoothly, and the crayon makes it really easy to define and fill your lips. It glides on, feels moisturising, and the colour payoff is intense. It also has this really yummy minty smell - it doesn't hang around, but it does make for a delicious application experience.
Stickability? It has it. It's often still on my lips after a few hours, however for some reason I end up with the lipstick sticking around the outer rims of my lips (up until about .5cm in) and the the inner part of my lips becomes bare very quickly, (and it happens whether I'm eating/drinking or not at all), and I end up with an unfortunate two tone effect. This may not happen for everyone, this could be a Kellie-quirk. But it's enough for me to stop giving it top marks, as I don't generally have the time to touch up my lipstick every hour, which is why I prefer either a lipstick that fades evenly, or one of those amazing new lipsticks that you need makeup remover in order to get it off your lips.
It's that one little thing that stops this being a lipstick that I reach for on a daily basis. I tend to use it now only when I'm off for a quick client appointment. Still, I'd recommend this matte balm, because it really is rather fabulous.
