I bought two of these recently in the shades 220 Showy which is a cool toned pink/coral, and 210 Unapologetic which is a cool toned brighter pink. I like the pencil/stick format, very easy to apply, although I wonder if it will be harder to ensure a crisp cupid's bow once they've worn down a bit. The tubes are matte too, which is a nice touch. They smell strongly of peppermint which I disliked because it's something that can be quite drying, and the fragrance is unnecessary to add. Both colours lasted well on my lips, through a morning of coffee drinking and snacks, only needing a reapplication after lunch. They are quite bold colours, both both are very wearable - I wore them to work and received compliments, especially on Unapologetic. The two cost me $44 at Farmers which I think is a reasonable price for a good quality product, and if you want them cheaper they often have sales.

Tips: Apply lip balm when you start putting your make up on, so that when time comes to finish off with your matte balm then your lips will be nicely moisturised.
I absolutely love these! i love matte lip products and it stains my lips so it has atleast some colour when i am unable to reapply. They are easy to apply and have a really good smell! Would so repurchase more in different colours.
I really enjoy these lip balms. Being a lip junkie I have tried many matte lipsticks and these I have found to be a very comfortable, non drying matte lipstick.
I have mine in the colour standout remarkable. Slightly metallic deep red. Well pigmented, Great for all skin tones.
They smell really minty and refreshing. Goes on very smoothly and lasts a good amount of hours.
A must have at a reasonable price from farmers.
I was given a Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in the shade Showy as a gift and I am really pleased that I was able to give this (fairly) new range from Revlon a go.
The Colourburst range look like large crayons that are easy to apply to your lips. I really like the colour that I was given - Showy. It is a nice pink shade that is a good every day lip colour. The Balm is very moisturising on my lips and has average staying power of about 2-4 hours, depending on if you are eating or drinking etc.
The Matte range is very pigmented and the crayon-type applicator means it is very easy to apply. I like my Colourburst Matte Balm and want to try more colours in the range!
I love the smell the fresh minty scent is so yummy . i found these very creamy an matte as was said to be it does transfer on to food glasses etc really easily so need to reapply often. the packaging is handy . the shades available are pretty an playful. im not sure if these are a lip balm an lipstick or if its just a balm in general . i really like these an think there great for little sisters an cousins
Tips: lip liner is a must when using these lippys :)
The matt balms are my favourite and I think they are much better than the original balm stains.
I have the shades 225 - Sultry and 240 Striking and I like them both. 225 Sultry is a great nude or your-lips-but-better shade. I use it all the time and it's long lasting on my lips. I sometimes use it under lipstick but it's also great by itself.
I also love the minty smell of the balms. It's an added bonus.
I have the shade 250 which is a lovely deep red. Its really vivid and bright. I love the matt colour, although I feel like after the initial shine has worn off it can make my lips feel dry. It lasts really well and by applying normal lip gloss on thoughout the day you can revive it.
I picked up Elusive from Life Pharmacy where they retail for $21. I personally don't like chubby sticks but that colourful display was hard to ignore. Would I repurchase? Most likely not. I can make do with a cheaper option with a similar finish.
I chose Elusive because I was drawn to the colour of the packaging, a muted rose pink. Unfortunately the colour is not true to pan and in this case it wasn't necessarily a bad thing because I was still drawn to the colour and I found out why below.
If you own MAC Please Me (matte) which happens to be a favourite you could possibly skip Elusive because they're a good dupe for eachother. If you're part of the chocolate club Please Me and Elusive don't appear as "light". In contrast to my skin tone it comes across as more of a neutral rose berry. The only key difference is Elusive has more of a semi creamy matte finish similar to Colourpop's "matte" Lippie Sticks.
I can wear this product without blotting too much and it stays in place for perhaps 3 hours before fading. I'm impressed because it feels lovely on the lips without drying so I don't really need to do damage control later. It's a product I would recommend to others if they need it straightaway.
I tried this balm and found it so easy to apply! i was also impressed with how long it lasted. My only downfall would be that it 'cling's to any dry parts on your lips and did need re-applying regularly.
Tips: Exfoliate your lips before applying.
It felt like I waited forever to get my hands on these! Once I finally got to Farmers I made a bee line for Standout. It's the most gorgeous, wearable true red. And I haven't been disappointed by it! It's long lasting and non drying.
Because there was a deal I also purchased 2 more, Showy, which is a bright barbie pink and Sultry which is a dark rosy shade. While not as long lasting as Standout, Showy is a fun bright colour and Sultry is a very nice neutral (somewhat mature) shade.
Being greedy I then returned to Farmers a week or so later and purchased 2 more. I brought Unapologetic and Elusive. Unapologetic is a very bright coral shade, I live it but it's super annoying as I find thus one slightly drying and not long lasting. But the colour is gorgeous! Elusive is a very pretty neutral pink, great for everyday.
Overall Standout is literally the standout shade for me. It lasted through eating and drinking and had to be removed with a lip scrub! The others don't really match up but I am loving the new shade selection as the original Balm Stains colours were a bit blah.
These are not a stain like the originals. I wouldn't consider them a balm either. While being more hydrating then a matte lipstick they don't exactly work like a 'balm' to me they are a pigmented matte lip colour. They do have that strong peppermint scent, which I like.
I am keen to try more shades as even though I have a few disappointments in them they are still I really nice product.
Tips: Exfoliate your lips with a sugar scrub before wearing any matte shades!
