I am loving these for everyday wear. I have now purchased three of the colours (Standout, Sultry and Shameless) and I've been wearing them almost every day both for work and partying. The matte finish is the biggest drawcard for me as I'm not a fan of shiny lips and I love the fact that it's a balm and doesn't have that sticky, drying texture that a lot of matte lipsticks can have. The staying power is better than I expected for a balm and I tend to only need a serious touch up after a meal. Another added bonus is the subtle minty flavour. Of all the colours I have bought, I seem to be getting the most mileage out of Standout right now. It's an excellent shade of bright red. I'd love to see them add more dark colours to the range.

I have recently purchased many of these matte balms, and they are definitely some of my favourite lip products. These stay on for 3-4 hours and moisturise and hydrate my lips. They come in various colours and add a pop of colour to your lips. I find this product very easy to work with and would definitely repurchase.
I was ever so excited for the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms to launch in New Zealand as I am a big fan of bright, bold colours with a matte finish. This colour range has something for everyone, from a deep purple to a neon coral. My personal favourite and most worn colour is 'Showy,' a bright pink.
The name and packaging of the product turn these colours from a standard lipstick to a chubby crayon with the word 'balm' suggesting sheer, moisturizing colour. However on the lips these really could be a standard (but still beautiful) lip colour as the application is surprisingly precise and the colours are bold and long-lasting.
The matte formula is great for those with oily skin or anyone who prefers a matte finish to their look. The colour doesn't change during the day and they are pretty hard to budge. I don't struggle with dry lips and only experienced dryness after wearing the matte balm three days in a row. The colour can be reapplied once during the day, however a third application looks thick and gunky so I did have to remove the lip colour and then start fresh. Overall the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms are a great product for anyone who doesn't suffer from dry lips and is looking for a pop of colour.
Tips: Be generous with a good lip balm at the end of the day after removing the product.
When the bucket sale came to town this was one of the many products that I couldn't resist. I love the Revlon Just Kissable Balm Stains and thought if this was to compare in anyway I would absolutely love it. I bought the shade 205 Elusive which is a lovely pink shade that I am pleased I picked.
The packaging is the same as the balm stains and all the other balms that Revlon do. I think it is really practical. With this the packaging is the same color as the lip shade which I love as when you are digging in your bag you can find exactly what you are looking for. The product twists up from the bottom. I like that the packaging is matte as well to match the product.
The lip product has a delicious minty smell which I really really like. It smooths onto the lips beautifully. Some matte products are quite drying but this feels really comfortable on the lips. The product is fully opaque as well which is really nice. This has a nice lasting power, but not as good as others as it is not as drying so it doesn't get into the lips as much. On me it lasts at least half a day before I need to top up the middle.
I love the product overall and will pick up other colors if I see them on sale. I imagine a red shade would be awesome!
'Sultry' caught my eye as soon as I saw it. As soon as it went on display I tried it on and got so many compliments on how the colour suited me! So I naturally just HAD to buy it!
The product comes in a long tube, sort of like a jumbo pencil so it is so easy to apply. When you first put it on, your lips tingle as there is a pepperminty smell and taste to it which I love! I easy get about 3 hours of wear out of it, provided I dont eat anything.
The only downside is that if you have dry lips, the formula might stick to it and make it appear even drier, so always exfoliate your lips before you wear the lippy! A friend (ex Revlon counter manager) always wears makes sure she puts on eight hour lip cream before she wears it just to prime her lips and swears by it!
I would definitely repurchase the Colorburst Matte Balms, I just wish they came in more shades! Such an easy and comfortable lippy to wear so would definitely recommend to everyone!
This is an amazing product. It comes in a nice sturdy packaging so good to carry in your makeup bag or handbag.
It’s a cross between a velvet balm and lipstick, so it doesn’t dry my lips out. I have three colours in this range and all of them are great and very pigmented.
You can build the colour up and each layer gives you a great look.
Tips: You can lightly dab it on your lips for a natural flush!
I got the darkest plum colour they had and I absolutely loved it. Great color, coverage and texture. Can be hard to get a clean line as the product starts to wear down which can be a pain but I loved the colour so much I put up with it. When mine runs out I'll definitely be replacing it!
I bought a set of these balms, they don’t really last long but they do work so good as a cream blush!! I guess if you are just doing makeup looks at home for pictures they’re good to use otherwise not the best.
But they do work as blush and eyeshadow!
Tips: Use a few dots where you would put your blush and blend!!
I have a little obsession with these! I have this in Elusive which is a really nice pink that is really good for every day wear. While some matte lip products can be quite drying, I don't find these to be all that drying at all, and they have reasonably staying power - I found I was wanting to reapply after 3 hours or so, but I guess it depends on what you're doing! Over all, a really nice creamy formula, super matte finish and really pretty colours - I'll definitely be buying a couple more colours!
I have always been a big fan of Revlon kissable balm stain and I'm also in love with this line. This is a must-try if you want to have smooth yet matte lips.
The size of the packaging is pretty much the same with the older line (kissable balm stain) but guess what, it's in matte too, so cute and easy to distinguish when you own different shades.
The price is very affordable, I bought mine off ebay for 15$ incl. shipping but you can buy from Farmers when they are on sale for about 18$. And of course, it lasts for ages.
I bought three shades: Audacious (neon tangerine) , Shameless (purple) and complex (nude). Much as I love shameless and complex, audacious did not work really well for me. It's the shade that Emma Stone wore for the campaign but the balm just doesn't stay on my lips at all.
I really love the texture ( except for Audacious), it's very smooth and hydrating your lips quite well. The lippies are matte but they don't dry up, you just need to apply the lipstick and have the matte effect immediately.
In terms of longevity, this line does not stay as long as balm stain but can last for at least 2 coffee.
Tips: if you want the lippie to stay longer, apply the Revlon balm stain of same or close shade before this to lengthen the wear, up to half a day ;)
