Tips: lip liner is a must when using these lippys :)
After reading the great reviews on BR, I decided I needed this lovely Revlon matte balm in my life. I'm a fan of Revlon lipsticks, and I was hoping this would also be just as good or better than the other revlon lipsticks I have tried.
The packaging reminds me of Clinique Chubby stick, as it's in a crayon type tube. It's stylish and sleek, the packaging colour reflects the type of lip colour you choose. My choice, bring 'sultry', so the colour is a beautiful, medium, nude-type pink.
I love the colour 'Sultry' as its so wearable and perfect for everyday wear, the shade is so flattering for my fair skin. It's just a couple of shades darker than my lip colour, and just a beautiful colour.
The crayon-type pen makes it so easy to apply. The formula is lovely, and its so moisturising for my lips. My lips can get dry and cracked easily, and some lippies just accentuate the dryness- not these. This is perfect, as so hydrating. It also is longwearing, and after eating and drinking can still see the colour.
I'm impressed with this product, and it's the lip colour I reach for most days. I can't wait to get more colours to add to my collection. Revlon has made another winner here- in love!
Tips: These are comparable to Clinique chubby sticks (which I love), only more affordable.
I have several colours of this product and I love them all!
They are very matte and have a nice opaque finish. They are very long lasting but need reapplying after food. Super easy to reapply though!
Every girl MUST own the colour Sultry its amazing!
The only thing I dont like is these oxidise during the day and get darker, every shade I have does it but everything else is perfect!
Tips: I always use a lip brush with these for precise edges
These are fantastic for every day use. They have a slight minty feel to them and give you a "zing" feeling on your lips which some people may not like. They are good for layering and I find their staying power pretty good for a lip balm. They don't have a dry matte look but I prefer the buttery matte texture anyway. And my lips feel so moisturised! I have the coral and the deep red colours and want even more.
Tips: Layer up for a stronger look! Use lipliner as the chubby crayon makes it hard to get a clean line.
was given this by a friend who didn't like the shade. love the pigmentation. it has a nice refreshing minty smell and dosnt dry your lips out. Another bonus is that it is super easy to apply with or without a mirror (I never worry that Ím going to look like Ive put it on in the dark as its easy to spread over your whole lip by rubbing your lips together!) will definitely repurchase!
I Have two of these revlon lip crayons and they are my most favorite lip colours. I have one matte pink shade and one of the glossy pink shades and they both have a good colour payoff. The glossy shade is very bright in colour and provides alot of moisture to the lips keeping them hydrated. The matte shade was very bright and neon and was a very good pop of colour however like all matte shades its very drying to the lips. Both the glossy and matte shades glide on smoothly for an easy aplication and the rounded tip makes defining the cupids bow easier.
Tips: When using matte shades, start with very hydrated lips by applying lip balm for around ten or twenty minutes before applying the lip colour.
For glossy shades, blot and layer the lip colour before setting with translucent for a strong colour payoff without the glossy finish.
Remove access lipstick and stop it from getting on your teeth by putting the tip of your finger between your lips.
This lip crayon completely surprised me, I was looking for a bright pink lipstick and tested this in a drugstore, only to find that not only was it super soft and hydrating, but also the colour was so pigmented and strong! I have to admit, I didn't really have room in my budget that week, but I couldn't stop thinking about it so I had to buy it! First of all, the application is surprisingly easy despite the broad tip, although I can imagine as you use it more you may have to be a bit more careful, or use a lip liner. Secondly, the colour is very matte, which I love, and very long-lasting, as it claims to be. Even when it does begin to fade, it fades quite naturally so that it doesn't look like you haven't reapplied. You also don't need to do too many coats to get a nice, strong colour, so in terms of price its well worth the cost. Since its a balm, its also very hydrating and doesn't dry out your lips. Everything about this product is a hit for me, and I absolutely recommend it to everyone, especially if you have trouble applying traditional lipsticks and want a less harsh product for your lips.
I have the purple colour "Shameless" and it is a cool toned purple. The formula is very moisturising but thick enough that it stays put. The menthol smell is a plus as it makes your lips feel fresh. These balms are highly pigmented and you get a lot of product. However one thing I noticed is that it is hard to colour in line so you may need to use some other kind of tool to put the lipstick on your lips evenly.
Tips: Use a lip brush!
I have shameless and it's long lasting and pigmented and a great product and I would buy it in a more neutral shade but the only issue is the damn smell. It smells horrible and it's the one thing I don't like about it.
I have two shades, Elusive, a pale pink and Mischievous, a dark purple. They are hydrating, smooth, pigmented and reasonably long wearing for such a creamy product. I find the dark colour clings to dry skin on my lips sometimes, but overall I love them both.
Tips: Exfoliate before using dark colours to avoid it clinging to dry patches.
