I have the version of this that has mainly browns in it Its nice but does not seem very pigmented like the claim above. The shadows are shimmery and have glitter the one pressed into a small square in mine has thicker glitter than the others and is multi colour reflective glitter very pretty but the colours are not that pigmented and the lighter ones can easily fade out to very subtle the browns are okay smooth and not all chalky great packaging as the back has a how to guide. The "primer" in mine was just a base colour I thought a primer was meant to be a cream. They last fairly well but as I said the colours can fade. Blend quite easily not a bad product. At 20 dollars I think I would consider re buying if I really liked but mine I got in a package. I recently found this company tests on animals so its not in my good books as much any more. The one I have is 505

I have the "Impressionist" eye contour kit which consists of neutral browns and champagne shades with one pale pink eyeshadow in the kit. The kit helpfully includes easy-to-follow instructions to create an eyeshadow look using all of the shades (which are numbered to make it easy to follow) for both hooded and non-hooded eyes. The kit also includes 2 foam applicators which I think are a bit wasteful. Foam applicators are rubbish at applying shadows when the instructions for the kit requires blending of the eyshadows along the browbone which just can't be achieved with foam applicators which are designed for packing on eyeshadow colour. I think the applicators could have been left out as they are a bit rubbish and it seems wasteful to include them. The instructions are great and I was able to create a really nice eyeshadow look following them. I think this is great for beginners as all of the shades in the "Impressionist" kit are neutral and quite subtle so they are forgiving of any errors and easy to blend out. I loved the eyeshadow look I created following the instructions which was quite subtle, yet glamorous. My main issue is all of the shades are shimmers; there is no matte included to use as a base shade so to complete the eyelook properly I prepped my eyes with a matte brown from another palette as it's pretty normal to not use a shimmer shadow as a base! I found all the shades apart from the pink shade were easy to blend and had a pretty finish. The pink shade was included as a tiny square so it was hard to get product on the brush and it just didn't seem to go with the rest of the colours at all, so I avoid using this shade. I found the wear-time of these wasn't great. Despite using my own eyelid primer, and setting spray, my beautiful eyeshadow look was pretty much half gone by midday! I see other reviewers have said this included an eyeshadow primer, it wasn't super obvious on mine which one the primer is as all colours included were shimmery, so maybe this is something the kit could make clearer. All in all, this is pretty and nice to help beginners create an eyeshadow look but this is a bit pricy and I just don't find it wears well throughout the day or has the staying power I would like (especially compared to cheaper eyeshadow palettes and kits I own). I would recommend giving it a go if its on sale and you aren't planning to wear eyeshadow all day and just to an event, but if you want long-wearing dramatic eyeshadow I don't think this is the kit that will achieve that.
The only shadow I loved in this 'kit' was the sparkly one, and I don't think it's worth it to buy it for one shadow. The other eyeshadows are fine quality, but i have a lot of other products I like way more. If you're really drawn in by a particular colour story, then I'd say to buy it because you might like it, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend.
I have two or three of these, and I really like them! I find the eyeshadow-for-dummies application guide quite helpful, and like that there is everything you need for one look all in the one palette. These are reasonably long-wearing and not clumpy, which is great.
I purchased 1 of these in 520 aquarelle, its a very pretty light purple eyeshadow palette that's very glittery and goes on easy. the colours are stunning, blend nicely, and give a vibrant look that really brings out my hazel eyes, and it stays on. I also think the sparkly top coat ties all the colours together nicely and the instructions are great for beginners- overall I really liked this product and will continue to use :)
Love the palettes available in this range. I picked up the impressionist shade, and love the variety in the palette. The packaging is standard plastic, but sturdy. There were two applicators, which promptly fell out and I didn't bother to pack them back in, opting to use my own brushes and fingers to apply. I love how velvety smooth the shadow is, and how easy it is to apply the shadow following the product layout. I found the application to go on quite pigmented, but it lacked staying power. I've even tried with a different primer but still didn't get a full work day of wear. I find the sparkle in this palette to be light (could be the shade I choose) and not very noticeable. I prefer to use the sparkle shades as highlight in my inner corner of my eyes. I love the grey in the palette though, a great neutral to add to my work day look.
I use the colour impressionist and think the colours in the pallet go great together. The pallet layout is a neat idea. Fun to apply. Good size to pop in handbag.
The primer doesn't seem to prime much. The staying power isn't very good and I find there isn't much eyeshadow left after just a couple hours. It would help if the pallet had a mirror so I could touch up easier.
I picked this is up for $5 on sale so for what I paid I'm happy with it but I wouldn't pay RRP.
If you are after a decadent wicked colour pay off these are the ones for you . The colours are brilliantly bold and shimmery and so butter soft . These compacts are the perfect size for a night out . Small sleek size easy to use ,little to no fall out from all this glittery goodness . 2.8grams of product , no fragrance . Impressive staying power . I own 2 of these remarkable little compacts muse and Bohemian . I am sure I will be buying some more .
Tips: Shimmer Shimmer and more Shimmer! These are defiantly bright and bold a little goes a long way !
This eyeshadow is excellent as it provides 4 colours in one. I use it during the day by only using the lighter shades, and then glam it up with the dark/sparkle for nightime. The colours blend well and the application guide is very helpful. Only one negative- I would not refer to the 'primer' as a primer. It is just a light eyeshadow, not an eye primer.
I got this product in shade 520, Watercolor. It has darker purple-y blue colours and a nice pink sparkle top coat. I was quite disappointed in this product because unlike other Revlon eye shadows that I have tried, the color pay off is pretty terrible. It might just be my lack of skill but I find that the colors don't blend very well together and the nice pink topcoat is too far from the base colours to match at all. The two applicators that came with it are hard and fragile, even after only a few uses. The primer is quite good, all though there is a lot of colour to begin with. Another thing I noticed is that all of the colours have a glitter shimmer in them. This is cool, but whats the point in advertising it as having a glitter shimmer top coat when there is already glitter in the other colours and the primer too? Over all, I probably wouldn't purchase this product again, I think ill stick to the Diamond Lust collection!
Tips: Use your own brush to apply
