Rimmel London Fix and Perfect Primer Review

I was quite surprised to find that this primer looks really nice as a stand alone product, so perfect for that day when you don't want to wear full makeup but still want to even out your skin. Wouldn't say it's the best primer to use under foundation that I have used, but would definitely buy again just for those lazy days (or sunny days)

I bought this quickly as it was the first I saw on the shelf and the price was good too. It has an odd but not horrible smell to it and is quick thick. It absorbs quickly which is good. I don’t wear make up often so was just wanting something to smooth my skins appearance and it surprisingly did just that. I have used it under foundation once and it seemed to hold well. I think if you are after a cheap primer to even skin texture this is a good product.

The first time I tried this primer was at a daytime music festival in Brisbane. Usually my face melts off quick smart in that kind of environment so you can imagine my delight when I got home afterwards and it still looked good. Good enough to go back out clubbing without having to touch up much at all. Needless to say I bought a tube as soon as I got back to NZ and have repurchased since then. I find this primer goes on smoothly (probably due to the silicone) and gives a nice tint to my skin but this may not suit all skin tones. It makes my makeup last heaps longer than usual and I dont get smudges or creasing in my frown lines which is always a bonus haha. This is now my "in between" primer which I use for days where I need my makeup to last til after work or weekends where I'm going out but not having a super big night.

I just repurchased this primer which means I really liked it. This is my every day primer I wear to work. I like it because it feels like a moisturiser and not like usual silicone primers. This may not be as smooth as those ones but I love it on my skin. I have the 002 which is the white one which dries clear anyway. I just think it is a good base before foundation or bb/cc cream and it makes my makeup last longer. It's not amazing but for the price, I think it's pretty good value. I get mine from Asos which is around $10 so it's cheaper than buying it in stores over here.

I really love this primer. Rimmel fix and perfect, it comes in a easy to remove product tube and you only need to use a minimal amount for your entire face.

I freaked out a little bit when I first went to use it as the 001 has kind of an orange/peachy color tinge to it but thought what the heck and used it anyway, well to my surprise it went on without any type of oily feel, it was quite nice and thick so I felt like my skin was being moisturised and the peachy tinge to it evened out all my skin tone and cake me a perfected canvas to apply my foundation, it only slightly minimised my pore unfortunately but that was okay.

And it actually did prolong my foundation wear, it helped a foundation that normally ran off my face last all day so i was pleasantly surprised out that too. I did go through the tube quite quickly but happily went out and got this primer again.

Rimmel is becoming a very loved brand in my makeup life and would happily recommend it to anyone to try, the brand is alot cheaper if buying online of even Kmart and Warehouse stock it so its not hard to find when you need to replace the tube.

Rimmel's Fix and Perfect primer is my holy grail of primer and pre-foundation products. There is no words that can describe how much I love this product - but I'll give it a shot!

At first, I will definitely say I was a bit hesitant when first applying the product. It does come out very salmon (or orange) from the tube, but once applied to my very pale skin, it worked wonders with helping reduce dark circles and patches in my skin.

It left my skin feeling incredibly soft. It didn't reduce the pores so much, but enough for it to look as smooth as it felt.. and who wants zero pores anyway? I don't really want to look massively photoshopped.

The primer definitely made my foundation last all day. I've used it under 3 different foundations/BB Creams (Revlon PhotoReady, Rimmel Match Perfection + Garnier BB Cream) and all had the same long lasting goodness with the primer underneath.

The price is fantastic - I've seen and used primers that can cost $30+ which will do the same thing, if not worse of a job.. so having this in an affordable price range (I picked mine up for $14 on sale at The Warehouse, $18 at Farmers) is absolutely fabulous.

The only downside I've found is that even though it's in a squeezy bottle - it's hard to get the last bits out. I've resorted to cutting the top off when I can't squeeze any more out and find there is heaps left for a week or twos application.

I really, truly love this product and would definitely recommend it to friends - to anyone really who is after a cheap primer that is also fantastic!

This is my every day primer and i use it religously! i love that its super affordable and it really does the job it says it does :) the colour that it is when it comes out is a bit of a put off but when blended i cant tell. It does make my foundation last all day and really smoothes out my skin for a flawless finish. I would say that im in love with this primer!!

I like this primer i just purchased it as it was on sale in kmart and i like it. It doesnt really give a silicony feeling like most primers but still feels good. it doesnt chnge thr colour to your face which i also like. Kept my make up on a few hours longer also sprayed mac fix spray on top and and it doubles the long wear.

I use this everyday before i start my makeup routine and i absolutely love it !! Makes my face feel like it has a smooth base to apply foundation to.Comes in a tube form.The product is a little on the peachy side but when applied to face it blends out a little and evens out my skin tone.Makes my makeup stay put all day

I swear by this primer... My skin is left feeling hydrated and my imperfections aren't so noticeable. Though I found it hard to 'move' around due it being quite a thick creamy consistency, I found for the price you pay, it's well worth it!! It doesnt last as long as my other oily based ones (I found the oily ones best for using less product)
