This is a really good medium to full coverage foundation! I have a lot of redness and with a bit of concealer on top, the redness is basically gone. I also have quite dry, sensitive skin and I found that this foundation works for me and did not cause any inflammation or irritation. Sometimes the foundation did go a bit dry and flaky and show my dry skin, however it was better than previous foundations I have used. The bottle is reasonably sturdy and easy to grip. The product is easy to get out, the pump makes it super easy and the lid isn’t on too tightly (I do not have the packaging pictured, mine is a glass bottle with a red lid and a red pump). The foundation is smooth and feels quite lightweight on my skin and the colour I have matches my skin perfectly. The smell is okay, it is quite neutral which I like. I usually squeeze a blob into the back of my hand and use my Real Techniques expert face brush to apply. The product is really easy to blend into my skin, however sometimes I find that it can get cakey around my under eye area (but could be due to my application or pores). While this is a good foundation and I use it frequently, I don’t think it quite lasts 25 hours! It is pretty good at lasting the throughout the entire day (it looks very similar to when I applied it after a full day at work), however on a night out when I come home I often find that it has worn off. However, I also find that during really hot weather this foundation doesn’t last all that well, it can go a bit patchy and fade away. It is quite non-transferable- it doesn’t get onto my clothing or anything which I really like! Overall, this is definitely one of the better foundations I have used and is so great for its price!

Tips: Try not to apply to much product around the under eye area, I found that when I did this, it went cakey.
I purchased this foundation from Kmart a while back, I wanted a foundation that was going to last all day but not feel heavy on my face. Usually I opt for something thicker but decided that I would try out the light weight lasting finish foundation.
I am so pleased I brought this! The packaging is really simply and you can see the product inside of the tube, for the price you are paying you get a decent amount and can squeeze every little bit out!
I find that the formula smells really nice, almost like a face cream and it has a smooth velvet like consistency, I used a foundation brush to apply it all over my face and it evenly spread.. Every nook and cranny was filled!
I wanted to have a glow to my face so I didn't put any powder over it, I felt like it made me glow all day and remained the same even when I got home! I am actually quite pleased with this foundation, I will be buying it again!
This was my first ever foundation that I owned. I got sent a sample in the mail and the colour matched me perfectly. Great coverage and is only $20 from KMART. I do feel that its not very buildable but I think the coverage itself is enough. All in all great foundation and I will keep on purchasing because it makes my skin look flawles :)
Tips: I found it applied better with a sponge.
Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation is party-proof, transfer-proof and leaves you with flawless looking skin around the clock (or so they claim on their website).
I bought Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation in Soft Beige (#200). The foundation comes in a clear 30ml glass bottle with a red plastic lid and red plastic pump dispenser. The dispenser is really easy to use, it eliminates waste and the clear glass bottle means that you can see if you're starting to run low.
Unfortunately, the foundation is definitely not transfer-proof (a small amount still rubs off) but it does give me instant, perfect medium to full coverage that leaves me with flawless looking skin and that feels comfortable.
I prefer to use a flat topped foundation brush to almost buff the foundation onto my skin, using a small circular motion. I find that this gives me an almost airbrushed look and minimises the appearance of large pores around my nose and on my cheeks.
The best thing about this foundation is that it doesn't settle into fine lines, doesn't look caked on when built up to full coverage or when powder is applied on top and its affordable. It really does look and feel like a high end foundation but is affordable enough to be replaced as often as needed.
Would I repurchase this foundation? Definitely. I prefer Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation to Revlon Colorstay 24hr foundation! Would I recommend it? Yes. I have naturally oily skin and it works wonderfully for me.
Tips: I apply this in circular motions with a flat topped foundation brush and find that it gives me an almost airbrushed look.
While it doesn't compare to my more expensive favourites, for an affordable product this is pretty decent. The coverage is one of the best in it's price range (i usually use 2 thin layers for the fullest coverage). It lasts well; i still look okay when i get home and the end of the day, perhaps a little oily in the t-zone, but a more mattifying primer might be able to help with that. I do wish they had an ever so slightly lighter shade. I can get away with it if i blend thoroughly down my neck, but a perfect match would obviously be preferable.
Tips: I find i get the best application with a damp beauty sponge, and the fullest coverage from two thin layers (about 1 pump per layer).
I have been searching for so long for a cheap foundation I can chuck on just to go down to the supermarket or walk my dog wearing (as I don't want to waste my $80 foundation on things like that), but I've never found one that's pale enough for me. Especially in New Zealand where we only get the midtones of each foundation range I was so shocked to find this in Farmers in a shade that worked for me. It gives me wonderful full coverage from two thin layers (about 2 or 2.5 pumps). It stays on really well when I set with translucent powder and doesn't look cakey on me. For me the palest shade is a little too pink toned as my skin is very neutral, which is a little annoying, but for the price I can let it pass. I love this foundation for it's price as it stays on all day, doesn't look cakey, gives full coverage, has pale shades, has a super handy pump, and did I mention it's cheap?
This foundation is absorbed well into my skin and gives me good natural medium coverage. It does stay on most of the day but by the afternoon I do need to reapply some powder. The thing I love most about this product, which has been repackaged, is the applicator as it is a long stick that is dripped into the bottle and then dotted on the skin. I then use a foundation brush to spread it so my hands remain clean.
I’m normally a MAC, Estée Lauder or Stila foundation lover but after reading reviews I thought this Rimmel foundation sounded great and comparable to double wear?
The convenience of picking this up from the supermarket is great. And it’s affordable. Yes please.
The bottle of this is pretty simple with its red colourway. The range of colours is good also. I do like a long staying foundation!
I found the coverage of this really good and didn’t irritate my sensitive skin like some foundations. It covered my imperfections and gave me to really nice flawless look. It lasts well also, which is what you want in summer!
Overall I’m impressed with this foundation. It doesn’t take the holy grail spot of my favourites, but it is a great affordable option that I will have as a back up.
I remember using this a few years ago and having no luck with it but after seeing a lot of rave reviews I decided to try it again. I picked it up for $22 in the shade ivory which is a great match for me.
It comes in a sturdy 30ml glass bottle with a great pump. It is super easy to dispense the right amount of product. It is quite a runny consistency, you really only need a small amount as a little spreads so well. I like to apply with my fingers.
I have dry skin so I make sure to prep my skin well, it glides on so smoothly. Hides my redness and the best part is it doesn't cake! I have so much trouble with cakey foundations! It is lightweight on my skin and looks natural and even. It does not give me breakouts, I really love the look of this. You can definitely build it up to full coverage. It feels a bit sticky for a while so I like to pop a bit of powder on as I hate that feeling. It does dry eventually however, I am just impatient.
I am so happy I tried this again. I prefer to use this at night when I go out as I use the Rimmel perfect match foundation during the day as it is light to medium coverage which is what I prefer for daytime. This is a great affordable foundation which I would gladly repurchase.
I purchased this foundation a while back when I was first fake tanning to play around with shades as you can pick this up really cheap normally at The Warehouse. Rimmel has always been a good drugstore brand in NZ as the prices are more resonable than its counterpart 'drugstore' brands. I find this foundation is great for dry skin and love using it in winter months, it can also withstand the heat in summer so a good all year rounder! The forumla is easy to blend and gives a great coverage I find that it is on par with Revlon Colourstay. (Full Coverage) The shade range is lovely an quite a few are yellow based! Which can be a rare find in drugstore products as I find they are often very pink! I got this in a different packaging compared to the picture, it was a glass bottle with a pump! Yay for foundations with pumps! Easy to apply!
