I get dry under eyes so was excited to try a “radiant” concealer. I’m normally 2 shades up from the palest shade in any concealer but this was literally the perfect shade. It has the standard doe foot applicator but mine didn’t seem to pick up a lot of product. When I did get enough product on the wand it applied beautifully and blended in nicely with my beauty sponge. Initially I was impressed as it looked really natural under my eyes and the radiant finish did blur my (not so) fine lines but as soon as my eye watered the concealer peeled off in patches. I’ve tried this with 3 different foundations and 2 different powders to set it but it did the same thing each time. I do have a leaky eye so this does happen with other concealers but this is such a thick formula and it made it really obvious. I loved the finish and coverage of this product but unfortunately it’s not going to work for me. Some people will absolutely love this concealer and it’s definitely a great affordable option but not for anyone that has watery eyes.

I'm not really one for using concealer but was happy to try this product as part of the trial.
The bright orange cap makes it easy to find in my makeup case which is a plus (and a reminder that I need to do a clean out!).
I tried the concealer both underneath and over top of the Lasting Radiance Foundation which was also part of the trial. I even googled concealer application tips to make sure I was applying it correctly.
When it was underneath the foundation it didn't seem to make any difference to my skin, I think blending in the foundation pretty much muted the effects of the concealer.
When it was on top of the foundation, no matter how many blending tricks and tips I tried it seemed cakey underneath my eyes. It definitely put my fine lines and crows feet into the spotlight - which is something I try to avoid.
Overall the concealer went on smoothly and seemed to blend well without much effort, it was the end result of looking like I had dabbed nana's face powder into the wrinkles under my eyes that let it down.
I'm not keen to use concealer again after this trial, which is a shame because having a whole regime of primer, foundation and concealer by the same manufacturer seems like the ideal face coverage package.
The full coverage was good for hiding some blemishes that have appeared recently. Under the eye I would have prefered a lighter shade however I used the lightest available in the collection. It was easy to blend with a mini beauty blender. I would say this is very comparable to alot of other concealers and it was nothing out of the ordinary but I would use it again.
I've tried alot of concealers in my 40+ years and to me, this wasn't the best I've used. But it was okay for day time.
I apply concealer over foundation, so it doesn't smear off, so this is what I did with this product.
Using the wand, I dotted the concealer under and around to the outside corner of my left eye, then blended it with a small brush. I then did the same with the right eye.
It had a nice consistency, blended easily, and didn't look cakey when set, all pluses in my book. BUT I would say it didn't illuminate my eye area to any great degree, like the marketing suggested. It concealed just fine, and hid my dark circles, but the illumination factor was close to zero.
I tried it a number of times over the past week, day and night, and got the same result. Good at hiding dark circles, not so great on the illumination. For this reason I probably wouldn't use it again.
Tips: Definitely blend with a concealer brush.
This concealer blends really nicely, it is creamy but not too thick. I like that when you take the wand out, there isn't too much product on it so you don't need to tab it round the entrance. The colour blended nicely into my skin even though I hadn't been able to test it before picking it.
If it hadn't been given to me in the set, I don't think I would have considered it a 'radiance' concealer - it does a good job concealing but it didn't really radiate my under eye area. It also 'concealed' dark patches/blemishes okay.
Maybe it's just not really feasible to have a concealer that both brightens and conceals, so perhaps the product was trying to do too much and just ended up being 'okay' at both.
I think you could get concealers that are just as nice if not better for a cheaper price. Instead of a concealer I would have rather seen a radiating primer in the range.
I will keep using the concealer as there is nothing wrong with it (and it did blend really nicely with the foundation), but I don't think I would purchase it again.
I liked this concealer, I chose Ivory and I found it had a nice natural colour which matched my skin. It visibly reduced and helped cover my lines and undereye bags, no small feat! I found it easy to apply and worked well with or without foundation.
I brought this from farmers when Rimmel had a deal. It doesn’t dry out my skin, and has a nice dewy finish. I would consider it medium coverage not full as I did have to use a couple of layers of it. Blends well but not super long lasting - so use a setting powder with it
Tips: Use setting powder
I had high hopes for this concealer. I'm after a concealer that isn't too drying but still brightens my dark under eye area.
This DID do a great job of that - and had amazing staying power. After I set it with my powder it stayed the entire day. But its not until I had a good look in the mirror did I realise that it was REALLY SPARKLY.
So yea it brightens but it had a ton of micro glitter in it which I just am not a fan of for my concealers. I understand that this is usually what happens with radient concealers but this was a miss for me.
I received this as a free gift with purchase from Farmers. It's a thin consistency and blends out easily. I have slightly dry undereyes and it didn't Accentuate this which is great. I would consider it medium coverage. I haven't tried this on blemishes so not sure how it performs on these. It's certainly not a holy Grail concealer and it's not super long lasting but it's good value for money and worth the buy
Tips: If you have very dark undereyes I would suggest going in with a corrector first
I love Rimmel products. I have not used many concealers at all so was excited to try this. I selected the shade ivory which is a tad dark for my pale skin. It comes in a 7ml tube with a slanted applicator and has attractive orange packaging.
I used this under my eyes and on any spots I had. A little bit definitely goes a long way. I dabbed a small amount on and lightly patted in. Coverage wise it was medium on me. I could still see my bags, it did an ok job at covering my spots but they still peeked through, I wouldn't call this full coverage.
It blends in well and doesn't cake or crease at all. Other products sit well on top and it lasts great throughout the day. I'm not sure I saw much brightening effect though. I feel the matching foundation does just as good a job at covering up imperfections so this is definitely a product that I could skip.
While it is a nice concealer it certainly didn't wow me at all. I feel there are much better ones out there.
