I was so excited to try this foundation and had high hopes it would at last be my holy grail of foundation. Unfortunately, for me, it wasn't. I had the Ivory shade but found it quite orangey and it didn't suit my complexion at all. I also found it actually accentuated my pores and lines. Sadly I would not use this again.

I love Rimmel products, I usually use the match perfection foundation and it is so nice on my skin. I was excited to be on this trial. I selected the shade ivory which is a tad darker than normal so porcelain would have suited better, but I made it work.
It comes in a sturdy 30ml glass bottle with a pump, yay I love a pump with foundation! It has attractive orange packaging which definitely stands out. Consistency wise it is quick thick. If I squirt some onto the back of my hand it does not slide off at all. It has a subtle fresh fragrance and added SPF 25 which is great.
For me I like to apply using my fingers first. I pump some out then warm it up between my fingers and gently apply all over my face. Once I have done that I take my RT sponge and go over top making sure it is blended well and add more anywhere I need extra coverage. It blends super easily and does not cake up on me at all. I have dry skin and it does not cling to any dry patches. It is a medium coverage on me which I prefer as I dislike full coverage foundations.
It gives me a beautiful looking glowing finish, however it leaves tiny glittery particles all over my face which I'm guessing are the radiance pearls as it says. For this reason I would not wear it during the day. I really don't like a glimmering face lol. But for a night out it would be acceptable. I feel like it could go a bit greasy if you have oily skin.
It wears well but I find it settles into fine lines especially on my forehead which I hate. It removes easily and did not break my skin out at all. It is an average foundation for me and I definitely prefer the perfect match that I currently use. I wouldn't recommend it as there are much better products out there. The glitter is big negative for me.
Although it did offer medium coverage which it fulfilled, unfortunately the shade made me look orange. I may look at trying a different shade in the future but was not impressed with it
This foundation comes in a glass bottle with a pump, pretty standard stuff. I find one pump can do a base layer and a 2nd pump for more coverage. It's definitely a medium coverage but easily builds up.
My skin is dry so I usually go for a dewy foundation but I found this to be a bit greasy looking which accentuated any spots or imperfections on my face.
The colour was very yellow undertoned but that could just be poor shade choice, and I did find the foundation transferred onto hands etc, but it did wear well when paired with a good powder.
All in all, I will probably finish the bottle off but I wouldn't purchase this foundation as there are others available that suit my skin better.
Tips: I paired with Mac Studio Fix powder to reduce any shine and improve longevity.
First impressions. Visually prior to application you can see how dewy the foundation is through the bottle. Once I applied my skin looked glowy and hydrated. It is medium coverage but definitely buildable. I use shade porcelain and it was still too orange for me which is very bizzare as my other Rimmel porcelain foundations are perfectly fine. With the SPF I did a flash test and there was no flashback which is always a plus.
This foundation was good, it has spf25 which I love and the coverage was quite good, it has glitter all through it to make your skin look 'radiant'. While the foundation had all these plus sides I found it was slightly orange on my skin which was quite disappointing. I'm gonna try another shade though because I loved my glowy complexion when using!
I am also in the market for a new foundation. My sisters wedding is in a couple of months in Bangkok - so I need a foundation that will last through hot humid weather but also make me look like i'm having my best skin day.
Unfortunately this is not it.
It applies beautifully but it was far too glittery for my liking. I don't mind a bit of dew but this made me look like I was a bit of an oil slick.
It does last all day however, and I needed a good oil cleanser to remove it - sadly however this also broke me out a few days into the trial. My pimples are slowly clearing up but I haven't had a foundation do that in a while!
This maybe up your alley if you like a really glow foundation but I won't be repurchasing.
Thanks BR for giving me the opportunity to try out this foundation. I’ve never been able to wear more affordable foundations as they tend to separate on my skin throughout the day. This one didn’t and although it didn’t last a full 8 hours it still looked fresh for around 6. I normally wouldn’t go for a radiant finish foundation as I tend to get quite oily throughout the day but with a mattifying primer this base just gave me a healthy glow. I did notice in the bright sunlight that it has tiny specks of micro glitter but these aren’t visible in normal lighting conditions. I would definitely recommend this foundation for more mature skin types as the glow does tend to blur fine lines and looks fresh. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone with really shiny skin as it will accentuate your oils but for combination/normal or dry skin this is amazing. I will absolutely keep purchasing this foundation as it’s definitely given my high end ones a run for their money.
Tips: If you’re after a slight glow then apply over a mattifying primer.
This foundation is a good product for a good price.
The negatives: - - extremely limited shade range. With so much focus on brands like Fenty releasing oodles of shades per base product, its kind of glaring to release a product with just 6 shades. - it lasts most of the day, but would need touching up if you were off out after work.
the positives: - it glows. It's has a lovely dewy finish. - its a light formula that's also very buildable - great price
I probably would buy this again, particularly as its so easy to pick up Rimmel.
Tips: This is definitely enhanced by teaming with a primer - I really enjoyed the matching Rimmel Primer.
And it oxidised so heavily. I went 3 shades darker and more orange, i was almost trump! Gross!
I liked the bottle and the fact that i could see how much foundation i had used. I also love the orange lid.
But yeah. As above, it was awful for my face and yeah. Wouldn't buy again without swatching and leaving for a few hours haha
