Unfortunately this beautiful magnolia-pepper scent (it smells a bit like my beloved Givenchy Hot Couture which is another magnolia pepper scent) just doesnt last on my skin-type I seem to eat it up and in a few minutes it is just gone. However my mum, mother-in-law and several other people who use it/or I have gifted it to smell fabulous with this scent on. Body chemistry has alot to do with this I suppose. But it is worth a try as it is such a beautiful wearable scent.

Tips: Classy, elegant, not too fruity or sweet, spicy but not over-powering
I used my mother's bottle of this for a while when I was in between perfumes ( when I say a while I mean everyday for a few months, thanks mum!) She has the 100ml bottle and it has easily been going for at least a year. I must admit it was really quite nice. It definitely isn't something I would usually go for as I am into a more fruity fragrance and this is very musky.
If you enjoy classic, timeless perfumes then this is for you as it seems to be a modern take on these. The fragrance, I found, lingered for a long time especially if you sprayed it on your clothing as well.
Unfortunately I don't think this is something I would go out and buy myself although I did really admire the simple, feminine design of the bottle.I do think it is nice it's just not for me, but If you're a classic kinda gal then it would be right up your alley.
The price is definitely spot on for the fragrance as I don't think I would pay much more for it.
When I won my first bulk lots of perfume this one was in my auction that I was bidding on Trade me. I am a fan of Jessica for her fashion and of course her Sex in the City show.
The bottle has a gold band around a round light pink see through bottle with gold lettering. Very pretty. The smell reminds me of a bouquet of vintage roses. It lasts all day long.
I've had my bottle for four months and then gave it away for my mother in law. If your into this kind of floral boquet then this smell would be for you. I had no skin irritations at all. Not sure about individual price because I brought a bulk.
Definately a good prezzy for your mum or sister. The smell just wasn't me.
This perfume matches its name well. I would describe the scent as a lovely, feminine, floral scent. There's nothing unique about it and it doesn't stand out. It's just an easy everyday kind of fragrance that's ideal to wear to work or even as a handbag perfume for when you find yourself needing to freshen up while out and about. It's super affordable which is what appealed to me combined with so many good reviews. I bought this without smelling it first from chemist warehouse, then it was $9 for 30 mls so I was happy to take the risk. It's a pretty safe blind buy too I think as long as you like pretty floral scents.
I can’t remember why I brought it but I did so with her other fragrance Twilight, must have been a sale or special deal online or in store
The bottle is a pretty tasteful glass teardrop shaped with a pink hue to it, you can still visibly see the perfume inside and the lid is a sphere with corrugated little ridges cut into the acrylic, the sprayer is silver and it feels quite weighty, which I think is due to the drop shape and there being more glass at the bottom then the top.
The fragrance is simple and elegant, a light white musk with tones of lilacs in it, which sits on my skin exactly the same way it came out of the bottle. It’s not very long lasting though and does needs a few top ups throughout the day, but it’s not very expensive so is a good little perfume
I received this perfume as a gift from my sister for my 18th. Like others I was a bit skeptical to start as it was a celebrity name, however very quickly fell in love with it! I found the scent to be quite floral whilst still retaining an elegant smell to it. I like the fact that it is not overly sweet it something that appeals to me also. I receive many compliments when wearing this perfume and have noticed my mum "borrowing" it once or twice.
The bottle is classy and refined, although I don't like the fabric round the top. I think price wise that it is good value for money, as you will get lots of wear out of this product.
At the end of the day perfume is something that is very personal to the buyer, but I would definitely recommend going and smelling this when you next walk past the fragrance stand... you may be pleasantly surprised!
Tips: You don't need a lot of this perfume and I wouldn't put on more than 2 sprays before going out personally :-)
I am not a huge fan of celebrity fragrances but I thought this one was rather nice.
The bottle is clear so you can see the liquid inside. It has a cute lid which is stays on well and dosent seem to come off in your handbag.
The fragrance itself is quite a subtle and I found I had to re-apply throughout the day. It is floral with a sort of slight hint of musk.
Overall a pleasant fragrance.
I don’t normally buy celebrity perfumes as they tend to smell sickeningly too sweet for me. Was sceptical when a friend gave it to me. Turns out it’s rather nice. It’s a semi-masculine perfume, not a girly flowery one. The scent lasts a long time.
Tips: Read the book about how SJP “created” this perfume, it’s fascinating!
Having recently fallen back in love with SATC and SJP herself, I knew I had to purchase "Lovely" especially with how affordable it is for such a beautiful perfume. My previous experience with this perfume was me avoiding it, due to it being another "boring" celebrity perfume that i'd briefly sniffed once and wasn't impressed with so never bothered to give it a fair go again, and that was my view for years. Until mothers day this year and I was trying to find a fragrance for my mum, I eventually settled on a Juicy Couture fragrance, but ended up spraying "lovely" onto a tester strip to give it another go and I am so glad I did. Initially I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it and surprised that I ever thought this fragrance was "boring", I hadn't planned on purchasing anything for myself so ended up walking away - tester strip in hand, walked around the store and couldn't stop sniffing it. It reminded me of a beloved fragrance my older sister has years ago - I couldn't and still can't get over how similar it smells and how nice it was to smell that familiar scent again. I ending up caving a purchased a 100ML bottle for about $30 which is a remarkably decent price. Its a light musk - very inoffensive, yet not unnoticeable, its is feminine yet in a classy way, and as SJP describes above its perfect for anyone of any age. I also loved reading about how she created this fragrance and how involved she was with the production. Its quite long lasting and sits upon the skin beautifully, I have received multiple complements on "Lovely" and am making up for lost time with this fragrance.
I bought this perfume on special at the warehouse for about $49 and was really nicely surprised how LOVELY it did actually smell on me. I'm not an expert on the actual notes but it sat really nicely on me and was fresh and fun but really sophisticated at the same time. I don't usually go for the celebrity perfumes but I would definitely recommend this one.
