Schick Hydro Silk Razor Review

This is my go to shaver. I used to think Id save money and buy the crappy ones. To be fair I was a student. But its so worth buying a better shaver, getting a more comfortable shave and less cuts. I have no issues with this product whatsoever. I love it.

This is so far the best razor I have used. It definitely does what it says it will, it glides over my skin so smoothly and leaves it feeling soft and silky. I find I don't tend to nick myself as much with this razor as I have done in the past with others. I find the moisturising strips tend to go quite gooey, then wear off quickly, they are nice while they last but you don't really miss them when they're gone. This is by far the nicest razor I have used, it's very comfortable to use and it gives a really nice close shave.

The packaging is attractive and eye catching, you can clearly see that it has 5 blades for a close shave and a serum for moisture.

The unit is a great design and easy to hold and use while shaving either legs or underarms.

The blades shave effortlessly and glide over your skin leaving it super soft and silky.

The moisturising strips dry up pretty quickly but I replace my blades quite frequently so get to enjoy the moisture they put back into your skin for the short time it works.

Definitely my favourite razor and not bad for the price!!

I was excited to buy this lovely looking razor. The packaging is very inticing!!

This was very easy to use. The handle is nice and luxurious and easy grib. The shave itself was great - it glides easily over legs and armpits. This gave a really close shave thanks to the 5 blades and I did not knick myself at all!

The extra bonus with this razor is the lovely moisturising serum wich left my lefts extra supple after shaving.

The razor itself is a good price but is a shame replacement blades are a bit expensive

I have used many other razors before, from cheaper disposables, to electric shavers, and have found that the re-placeable blade razors are the most cost effective. This particular razor is very reasonably priced against other brands out there. I did find that the moisture serum ran out much quicker than the blade itself went blunt, so if you are replace heads as soon as the serum has gone, you will be spending a lot more on blades.

I like the look and feel of this razor when you hold it. The blades are easy to remove and replace and come in individually sealed packs.

This razor gives a very close shave, and the moisture serum makes it glide across your skin. The blades are laid very flat meaning you get that close shave without being able to easily cut yourself.

Overall this is one of the better razors I have used and would recommend it to others.

Now as you may already be aware, shavers are one of those necessary items in life. Over the last 10 years I've tried everything that has been on the market, all promising the same results and not always being the best. To the point, men's shavers always did the job so much better!

But after trying the Schick Hydro Silk Razor I was pretty impressed, to the point I went back and purchased extra shaver heads which never usually happens. I'm one to buy what ever is on special at the time, and if that means a brand new shaver instead of a pack of shaver heads then so be it.

The Schick Hydro Silk Razor itself fits perfectly in my hands, it has a good grip and doesn't easily slip out of my hands which is important, nobody likes cutting their legs when shaving... It's seriously so painful for such a tiny little cut. The Razor also has a good built-in serum strip, so with a slight touch of water it makes gliding across your skin so much easier, don't leave it near water when not in use though... it will vanish. And ofcourse, the most important part to the Razor is the blades. Having enough blades is important but the Schick Hyrdo Silk Razor has curved blades to follow the natural shape of your body and give you a clean smooth result.

Will definitely buy again!

I brought this when it first came out and thought it sounded really good, I always use shaving cream for my legs and underarms so gliding the shaver over my skin felt ok, and the handle was easy to handle it didn't slip through my hands like other razors do. I like how it had a clean cut and there was no mess left behind. the price was pretty good too I still have one in my bath room cabnet but these days I shave with the Schick Hydro 5 as it is was better for my hairs and skin I will do review on that soon.

I loved this razor! The moister bar lasts for ages. Would definitely recommend & will be using again. Made shaving quick and easy and my skin didn't dry out after.

I have used this razor for at least a year now and it's here to stay. The serum strip lasts ages, and the blades stay sharp for the longest time. I use shaving gel when I shave and the combination just makes for the best shaving experience.

Firstly, this offer already put this company and its products in a better light for me because razors can be an expensive item in the weekly groceries, so its nice to be able to try the more expensive razors for free, before purchasing them for yourself.

So all my life, I’ve gone for cheap razor options, all disposable, and some which have not been very good for my sensitive legs, but when you’re a student you don’t have many options. This probably has to be one of the more expensive razors I have tried, and I think I brought it for about $16.00, which made me cringe … ekk! Lucky in the back on my mind, I knew I would get reimbursed for this purchase.

After opening the packaging, I was impressed immediately. The razor comes with an attachment which sticks to the shower wall and holds your razor for you! In a shower which my nieces sometimes use, it gives me piece of mind to know my razor is high up and out of reach of the younger children.

Additionally, the packaging contained another razor head, so when I could replace the blades when the first ones got dull.

Now the design of the razor, I love it. It has a blue handle which has a rubbery texture to it, making it so easy to hold and use with wet hands. The head of the blade connects to the handle in a way that allows the head to move easily over the curves on your body, especially knobble parts like your knees. My favourite thing about this product is the small thin gel like strip on the razor head which lets the razor glide smoothly and effortlessly over skin, and even feels nice on sensitive areas like under the arms. I also think this little strip is the reason my legs feel so silky smooth after getting out of the shower.

So is it worth the investment. Yes , yes and yes. It comes with two blade heads, so really you get two razors for the price of $16.00. Plus I’ve seen this product on special for $12.00 so I think il wait to purchase this when its on special, but I definitely will be repurchasing it.
