Schick Hydro Silk Razor Review

I recently ordered some shoes online from Wild Pair. When I received the box, one of these Schick Razors was inside. I am guessing I missed something in regards to a promotional razor...but either way, I was pleasantly surprised. I was so eager to try this and conveniently needed to shave that night so it was perfect timing! From having used Venus razors always, I was easily able to tell the differences between the brands. I did enjoy the handle on this one due to the deep grooves and the fact that it was fatter, meaning more grip. In terms of the razor, it had a nice covering of moisture around the blades, but from memory with previous blades, this moisture layer never lasts the full time the blade does. It was sharp enough but no sharper than any other I have tried and my regrowth was no quicker or slower either. I would re-purchase now I have the unit (making it cheaper) but I cant say if I necessarily prefer this to my Venus. Only time will tell!

Was great for the first use. But finds it blunts rather fast. Dose a great close shave and leaves ur legs silky. Hydro bar doesn't last very long it drys and falls off. But over all not to bad. Not the cheapest to buy new blades cheaper to replace whole razor.

Got this free with a purchase at wild pair a month ago and it leaves my skin feeling so smooth. Although the hairs do grow back faster than my normal shavers I use.

This isn't prone to give you ten cuts when you first use it like so many others. Leaves great results and is gentle around those tricky areas like knees etc. Would buy again!

I love this product, it smooths on with no hassels at all, Ive never experienced a cut yet using this razor, I brought mine from the supermarket, but once im finished with it I chuck it out and buy a whole new razor az its more expensive to buy refills then a new one.

Schick is my go-to brand for razors, they seem to make great quality razors that really do the job well of giving you a close shave.

I like the sleek look of this razor and the lovely blue and white colour. It looks modern and stylish -just what I expect from Schick razors.

I normally prefer male razors to be honest, just because they seem to have such a close shave, but this one is great!

I use my Aveeno body wash and lather this up on my legs, and then use this to shave. It gives such a close shave and I'm left with lovely, moisturised skin. This razor has never irritated my sensitive skin or given me little cuts like some other razors have.

The shape of the razor makes it easy to manoeuvre over your legs and just feels comfortable to hold. My legs after using this feel silky smooth and hydrated.

A fantastic razor that I will continue to buy. Would recommend to anyone.

The only downside, is the replacement blades can be pretty pricey- but this seems to be the case for most razors.

I have used this razor and variations of it for ages. Only downside is the price of the blade cartridges. However the razor itself leaves your legs feeling so smooth and soft afterwards. I haven't cut myself using it yet so that's a bonus, and it really just does what you want it to.

I must admit I get lazy shaving my legs in winter because who wants to spend all that time in the shower grooming when you could be snuggled in bed in your onesie ;) Well this is my go to razor when I havent shaved for a couple weeks and I need my legs mowed! :)

Firstly, I must note how I love the blades and how they perfectly bend and contort themselves to your body's shape and just give you a smooth clean. One sweep (maybe two when you're lazy like me) and the hair just disappears. I love the serum that is dispensed whilst shaving because this add soothing benefits to my skin and helps me to not knick myself.

On the subject of the serum, I hate the way it stored on the top of the blade. I left one of my razor on the shower tray and the next morning it had leaked out and the shower and taps were covered in slime. I was not impressed that I didnt find any instructions on how to best store this razor after use.

Apart from my slime accident I love this razor and especially love that skin doesnt really need tonnes of moisturiser after shaving. Always a winner in winter when getting dressed takes priority over lotion for me :)

The blades seem to last a really long time because I'm still on my first blade after 2 months and its working like it brand new. I also love that the hair is cleans quite easily from between the blades because all I do is run the blades under the shower and the hair has disappeared.

I would recommend this to anybody who uses a razor for shaving because your skin is going to thank you for being so smooth and silky after shaving.

I purchased this on special at the supermarket and was impressed with the results and how long each cartridge lasted.

I felt the results were smooth and left not too dry.

I got this on special for about $9.00 so I thought it was pretty reasonable given you get two spare cartridges.

Has a pretty blue handle and comes with a handy shower clip, which i really like.

I quite like how this product has a self-moisturising serum that glides over your skin easy and freely allowing a quick shave.

Would purchase this shaver again.

I was excited to buy this lovely looking razor. The packaging is very inticing!!

This was very easy to use. The handle is nice and luxurious and easy grib. The shave itself was great - it glides easily over legs and armpits. This gave a really close shave thanks to the 5 blades and I did not knick myself at all!

The extra bonus with this razor is the lovely moisturising serum wich left my lefts extra supple after shaving.

The razor itself is a good price but is a shame replacement blades are a bit expensive
