Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

I researched alot of foundations before deciding on DW as this was going to be my first high-end foundation purchase. I love the coverage you get and it's the best foundation for summer as it does not move!! It has a matte finish with is great because I get greasy about mid-day. I do find that it does cake up on me a little by the end of the day just around the nose area, but I think it is because my skin has been unusually dry these days with the humid weather. I have oily to combo skin and this foundation is great, if I want a little dewyness to the foundation I add a amount of cocnut oil to the foundationand that transforms it from matte to a luminous finish. I will definitely be re-purchasing this foundation!!

I have recently (within the last two months) switched from using Revlon Colorstay to this and I love it!

The coverage is brilliant and you don't need to put too much on so the bottle will last a long time. The women in the store were so lovely giving me a couple of samples of different colours to try at home and after a few tries I found the perfect shade for my skin tone. I have found best to apply with a stippling brush for an even, flawless finish.

The only cons I have about this product is that the bottle doesn't come with a pump so it is pretty difficult to get the foundation out without it all pouring everywhere. It is also a bit drying so I would recommend moisturising and priming your skin beforehand (which you should already with any foundation).

I have since convinced my mum to change from Revlon to this and she loves it! Would definitely recommend to everyone

I can not rave about this foundation enough! i wear the shade 1N1 and it is a perfect match! i have a lot of redness in my skin and this works amazingly to cover it up! This foundation will not budge throughout the day it is amazing for its longevity, and even on the odd occasion where i fall asleep with my makeup on my base still looks flawless the next morning! i like to apply this with a beauty blender as i find it gives the best finish, i find that i don't even need a setting powder with this foundation! This foundation is supposed to be amazing for oily skinned girls but i have normal to dry skin and i would recommend it to anyone!

Packaging is nice a glass bottle a good lid and a pump action to squirt the right amount out. So with a freshly primed face I start applying this with a foundation brush, I do one pump of foundation on the back of my hand and dab my brush into it, it's not a thick foundation more mid range. This foundation is easy to put on evenly and blend into my skin, It's a really nice medium coverage with a mid matte finish, also a SPF content and it blends easily down my neck, there's no scent I can detect and this does feel nice and lightweight on my skin and nice and breathable. I like the even skin tone I get using this and it does last. I don't get the fifteen hours but my face still looks pretty good at the end of the day at work. I get a little shine on the end of my nose, but nothing a little powder doesn't fix. The colour off this foundation I've found stays the same throughout the day and gives my face a more natural finish than a heavy finish. And so easy to remove with a little bit off makeup remover. Well I did take ages for me to decide whether to buy this, why did I take so long. It does a great job and lasts so most certainly spending my money on this.

Double Wear is my holy grail long wearing medium/high coverage foundation it does everything it says on the bottle, I can wear this al day at work and then onto the bars on a Friday night with minimal touch ups. Even better, the shade range is great and easy to understand with the undertones labeled on the bottle. I have neutral undertones and am pale as a ghost and 1N1 Ecru is perfection. Bottom line: definitely worth the hefty price tag

The hype about this foundation is all over the internet! It's been holy grail product to every single makeup girls I watch on youtube! I did not jump in the bandwagon when everyone was talking about how great this foundation because at that time I thought I already found the foundation that works great on my skin type. For reference, I have very oily/acne-prone skin. Clearly it is harder than it looks to find a good foundation that won't slip and slide as well as control shine through out the day.

It took me a little over 2 years to finally bit the bullet and purchase my first ever Estee Lauder foundation! First off, the shade selection is amazing that you can easily find the shade that will spot on match your skin tone. Ranging from pink undertones, yellow undertones, olive, dark undertones they have it all! Normally, you have to either mix 2 shades to get a perfect shade or go a tad lighter but not this foundation!

It comes in a glass bottle which is makes it luxurious. However, it does not come with a pump which can get a little messy and frustrating but that does not really bother me.

The texture of the foundation is thick and I find that it sets quickly so you have to apply it fast other wise you'll get a patchy application. It has a chemically scent to it which is sort of similar to MAC foundations and Revlon Color Stay.

It claims to last through humidity and heat also a built SPF 10 to protect the skin from UV rays. I have worn this foundation through out my trip in Birsbane and it suppressed the humidity and sweat! I'm overly amazed because it did not slide or move or smudge! For it being thick and full coverage foundation, it looked natural and it looks exactly the same as when you applied it through out the day! I even wore this foundation when I played tennis under the sun! It is great in controlling the oils from my face!

The finish is matte that I don't even have to set it with powder! I use Laura Mercier primer underneath or the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer. If I want less coverage and a bit of dew, I mix it with my face moisturizer which then gives you a BB cream texture. I like the method for everyday wear as it gives a bit of coverage and lasts all day!

The price can be a it of a downer but this foundation is absolutely amazing! Highly recommend to all my oily skin girls who is on the hunt for a great foundation!

So I have been hearing about every woman and her cat raving about this product forever and I feel like I'm the last person in the world to finally try it... Why did I wait???!!!

I am so impressed by this beautiful product!! I have ridiculously oily skin and am forever on the hunt for a product that does not slide off my face by lunch time... Ladies, I have found my Holy grail foundation!

This is a surprisingly liquidy product for something that gives such a beautiful full coverage, I have been applying it with a flat topped make up brush and it is the perfect coverage for me. The coverage and finish of this product is excellent, it glides on smoothly, it gives excellent coverage, the colour is perfect and it lasts all day with just a little touch up of powder throughout.

I am currently using it with the BECCA oil free primer (which is also amazing) and setting it with the Ben Nye powder in Cameo - this has to be the most perfect combination ever!!

Omg this is my holey grail for coverage and perfect match for my shade I love how it fits my skin its an awesome coverage for my pigmentation and i love how i put it on and it wont smudge or rub off on to clothing its so perfect it dosent budge an inch it feels so light weight and perfect for evenings out

This foundation is amazing for achieving that flawless skin look when your skin is not so flawless. I have adult acne and scarring and all sorts of terrible stuff going on, but this stuff makes my skin look amazing. The product goes a really long way and blends really well and I find the shades to be a lot more natural than some other brands of foundation - in other words more like skin colouring than various shades or yellow/pink.

This is the first foundation that hasn't let me down. Usually ill love a foundation but as my skin changes and adjusts to the climate (winter=dry/summer=oily) i will get over it as it didnt work as well as before. With this foundation i found that no matter how my skin is the foundation never budges smears or transfers i am totally in love with this foundation and will probably be for the rest of my life. the main thing i love about this foundation is that its water resistant for example i wore it to the beach one time and i wasn't going to go swimming but eventually i did and when i came out it was still in place and looked like i just applied it. Only thing i wish it had a pump because i waste a lot by pouring too much or not enough. the bottle is small however it is 30ml and that is the normal amount in most foundations.

Its definitely my holy grail foundation.
