Lush Lip Scrub Review

A friend recommended this product to me whilst going clubbing, I love and adore and make sure i always have one on tap. it is pricey so i try to use not to often but it is a great accesorie on the draw

This scrub comes in different flavours, of which I use the pink Bubblegum one. The tiny pot doesn't look like much but you only need the smallest amount of product at a time so it lasts for a long time.

The sugar scrub is packed in very tightly, you have to really dig in to get it out. It's a bit on the dry side and tends to crumble off your finger before reaching your lips. For this reason it can be a bit messy.

It tastes nice, not being into sweets I can't exactly say what of (presumably its namesake), and with just a small amount of scrubbing it sloughs off any dead/dry skin to leave the lips smooth. For best results apply a lip balm straight after using.

Definitely a good product to have to keep lips looking healthy and soft. This sugar scrub exfoliates the peeling dead skin on chapped lips well and has a yummy taste :) Also prevents me from tugging off the annoying dead skin on my lips, especially during winter months.

A friend first showed me this product when we were getting dressed up to go out and Ive loved it every since! I use it when I have finished putting on my makeup and it takes the excess foundation off my lips and leaves them feeling soft and exfoliated - ready to apply lip balm or lipstick

I got convinced into buying one of these at Lush, and I love it but I just don't think it's worth it for the price. They are just unnecessary!

These come in a small glass jar, which is packed with the scrub. There are a few flavors to choose from, I chose bubble gum because it smelt delicious just like a candy store!

Using these is quite messy though, you need to be standing over a sink and I find a lot of product ends up in the sink.

These work very well and are perfect to get rid of any dry flakes on my lips and great to prep before lipstick, but the price is ridiculous! Personally, I wouldn't buy this again because I find a toothbrush works just the same for lip exfoliation and isn't even half the price.

These are amazing! Taste amazing! Great just to have in your makeup bag and use everyday. Smell amazing great for winter!!!!

I have been buying the Bubblegum scrub for two years now and I just cannot fault this product at all! The taste is yummy, product is all vegan and best of all, it makes your lips feel incredible! It is a sugar scrub so it does get a little bit messy, but I end up licking the sugar off anyway after my lips are rubbed together.

Super affordable too and this product goes such a long way!

i got the bubblegum flavour. It comes in a small container, very handy foe slipping in your handbag. You need to dip your finger in the product and then rub over your lips. It has a very sweet sugary flavour, very pleasant and a lovely shade of punk. I pursed my lips together and then rubbed it over my lips from side to side, wiping off the residual sugar. Its a wee bit messy but works. Leaves my lips really smooth, and the taste is not bad.

I love the feeling of body scrubs, so I was excited to try this lip scrub. However, I find that it doesn't work well with super dry lips. I wanted it to exfoliate and remove the dead skin in my lips but it only made them really sore and raw. My lips were left even drier. I do find that it works best when your lips are only slightly dry or when you apply some lip balm first. I didn't find that this was hydrating at all.

I have the bubblegum lip scrub and the colour is a bright pink. However the colour doesn't stain or colour your lips at all. The smell if very sweet and it does indeed smell like bubble gum. It also tastes really sweet, I guess because it is largely made out of sugar. It's actually too sweet for me so when I'm done exfoliating I just wipe the excess off with a tissue.

Overall I am a bit disappointed with this product as it didn't live up to its expectations I had. I had heard great things about this product and it had heaps of great reviews. I probably won't be purchasing this again, mainly because for the price you can just make your own for less than half the price, and I prefer lip balm as it hydrates my lips better.

I had high hopes for this after hearing so many good things, but after purchasing it in the boxing day sale I find it just sits on my shelf.

I find it too gritty, borderline sore on my lips. The formula is really dry so it crumbles and is hard to apply.

It does smell and taste great but I just find it a pain to use out of the pottle. I would prefer a tube style product.
