OPI Nail Lacquer Review
Reviews
OPI had a captive market for mid-priced nail polish a few years ago but now there are other brands for the same price that perform better. OPI has a really good colour range that I will always appreciate and I wouldn't turn down an OPI nail polish if it was in a colour I really wanted. I do find they are prone to peeling off my nails after a few days, rather than having minor chips, which means I have to change my nail polish quite quickly.
OPI nail polish comes in quite generous bottles but I actually find I can't get through one before it turns gloopy!
I have a whole collection of OPI polishes (ahem, 33) and this is the one I use most often, usually always on my toes and occasionally my fingers - tho I prefer to stay away from black on my nails. I love glitter & sparkles! :)
Tips: I usually apply a black coat underneath to ensure it lasts longer & also makes it easier to remove!
OPI is my go to nail polish range. It's one of the only ones that I have found won't chip on my nails and lasts a decent amount of time before I have to re-do it. I love that there is such a wide range of colours. I also love that the colours don't stain my actual nail as I was finding that it happened a lot with other brands even with a base coat underneath. When applying OPI polishes i find that they go on nice and smooth and that two coats gives you an amazing finish.
This is my go-to black nail polish. It is such a great formula and so opaque. It also has great wearing and I can easily get a week out of it without having to reapply.
Any OPI lacquer stops me in my tracks these days. Why? For starters, the range of colours is dazzling. You'll find a colour to love no matter how fussy you are. Secondly, the really unique names that OPI bestow on their polishes really up the fun factor (how about "Number One Nemesis" or "Your Web or Mine?") Thirdly, and most importantly - the long-lasting finish on your nails. While no polish is chip-resistant forever (unless you're in the gelish category and that stays on for a good few weeks), OPI produce really hard-wearing polish. If I had my way, I would own one of every colour. A girl can dream can't she?!
I found this brand of nail polish average. I brought quite a few of the mini bottles as I thought they were cute but I personally didnt find the quality of the polish any better than cheap stuff from the $2 shop, they all chip after a few hrs/ a day. But one great thing about the Polish is ive had my minis for about 3yeara now and they still aren't all gluggy and still work perfect
O.P.I is the first nail polish brand that I head to when looking for new colours as they have an amazing range with numerous shades of pinks, blues and of course glitter nail polish when your feeling up. On their own without any base or top coat they never last very long, they start to chip so it pays to get the two protector coats.
Tips: Make sure not to get too much polish on the brush, it is quite runny and a little goes a long way.
I generally LOVE OPI nail polish but the only thing i have to say about it is they aren't consistent with their lasting power. Some of the colors I've had have saved on forever yet some of them only last 2 days. with a base coast and top coat as recommended. Either way they are a great consistency for the polish and the brushes are amazing too.
This is my go-to nail polish. It comes in so many great trendy shades. So it is perfect for almost every occasion. Plus, and most importantly, it has a good last-factor. Unlike most nail polishes it stays on for ages and doesnt wear off or chip easily. Has a lovely sheen to it as well making it look like a more professional finish.
