Revlon ColorStay Foundation - Combination/Oily Review

I love this foundation! There are so many shades so it is easy to find the one right for you. (I went to Farmers and got one of the helpful ladies at the kiosk to help)

I use this one everyday! perfect for everyday work or going out at night! long lasting, doesn't feel like you have anything on and doesn't transfer!

I love this foundation and have been using it everyday for around 4-5 years. Its affordable, and provides the coverage I need for my sensitive acne-prone skin. As I have quite pale skin, I find that the ivory shade in this range perfectly matches my skin. This blends well with no streaks and stays in place over my busy work day, with no need for touch ups! I like that it is affordable, and a bottle lasts me around 6 months with daily use. Love it!

I purchased this foundation after seeing lots of positive reviews on this website. I had previously been using a more expensive foundation and was seeking a more affordable alternative.

It look me a couple of applications to figure out the best way to apply to achieve the look I want and actually am pleasantly surprised. I find this foundation gives good coverage and leaves my skin looking nice and fresh and lasts well throughout the day and that’s without using a primer too. I think I prefer to just apply with my fingers and on the areas I want a little more coverage just pat the foundation into my skin and blend out with my foundation brush to make sure it’s even. As mentioned is other reviews this foundation dries quite quickly so it’s best not to muck around and get it blended fast working on one area of your face at a time. My skin is oily combination and although dry in parts particularly around nose, I find this product works well and hasn’t made my skin breakout like other foundations have done in the past. I don’t use a powder after applying this as I don’t really find I need to as skin isn’t too oily this time of year and I like the slightly dewy finish it provides. I normally just use moisturiser and then apply this foundation but imagine using a primer and concealer/powder would be beneficial depending on your skin type. I look forward to trying out the primer, concealer and powder (especially in summer when skin is oily). Love the glass bottle and pump, nice and practical. At the end of the day I take this off just with a warm face cloth followed by cleanser and find that works well. Will definitely purchase again.

I bought this foundation as I was looking for something with quite decent coverage but also something that would stay matte through the day as I get oily on and around my nose fairly quickly. This foundation does it all!

Firstly, my skin as I said, tends to get oily on my nose and cheeks by my nose fairly quickly while my cheeks near my jawline and my forehead get a bit dry. I find that I get best results from this foundation if I use an exfoliating cleanser and a gel moisturiser before moving on to the primer and foundation part of my makeup routine.

The packaging is good for this foundation. I like that it has a pump dispenser so I can put the product easily and cleanly straight on to my beauty blender. The clear bottle is useful also, as you can see how much product is left.

It is a reasonably thick foundation which probably contributes to its high level of coverage. I'm a particularly freckly specimen and love that this foundation covers up the lighter-medium ones and evens out my skin tone. It also covers up blemishes so I don't need to use any concealer.

I'm finding that I get about 4 hours before I need to blot and re-powder my nose (I do set my makeup with powder). Maybe a little longer if I also use a setting spray. This is a HUGE improvement over my other foundations, BB, and CC creams which only last an hour or two before melting and becoming oily.

I have had one or two applications where the foundation became a little cakey but I think that is more user-error than an issue with the product. It pays to be careful when applying that you don't get too carried away and put too much on though, just in case!

At the end of the day, I'd definitely repurchase but I'd wait until it was on special as the full price is pretty hefty.

I find this extremely easy to use. Little bit of primer and then this glides on super smoothly and gives really good coverage. Any red areas or small spots are very easily covered. I love the fact that you can easily build coverage without it caking as well. Long lasting which is exactly what I need. I work in a cafe all day and this is the only foundation that lasts throughout my whole shift, even in summer. I do wear a powder over it to help set it and stop any oily patches showing.

It is extremely difficult to find my shade in this product. Nevertheless it one of the best foundations I've used and continue to use. It glides on easily and feels nice on your skin. I have acne scars and it obviously doesn't fully cover it but it does minimise its visibility. My forehead gets quite oily so it lasts about 6 hours which is pretty good but slightly longer during the colder months.
